Welcome Home Naruto

I walked into Ichiraku Ramen and stopped at the curtains as Naruto and Iruka Sensei were sitting in the middle of the counter, I smiled at them and sat at the far end on the left.

I was reading the menu when Naruto sat his head on his arms on the counter, "He shouldn't have done that, he should be here welcoming me home.."

My attention was taken from my thoughts and ramen to Naruto yelling and slamming money on the table and running out, his ramen untouched.

"NARUTO!" Iruka yelled after him,

Ichiraku looked at the money Naruto left and sighed, "He didn't leave enough." Iruka opened his mouth to respond but I did it for him.

"Don't worry Sesnei, I got it. Yours too." I gave him a smile and he blushed softly, "Thank you Y/N."

Iruka ate his food, and thanked me again before leaving, hands in his pockets. I stated at my own empty bowl and sighed, I want to make Naruto feel welcomed in his own home, I want him to know he's not alone. We've been friends since the academy, but he's never known my life's story, he's never even asked where I live or where my parents are.

I stood up, pulling out my money pouch and paid for all our meals and waved goodbye before leaving. I strolled around the village market district thinking about Naruto, I needed to come up with a plan on how I was going to cheer Naruto up. What happened at Ichiraku's kept playing over and over in my head, why didn't he eat his ramen? Even when Naruto is upset he still eats his food. Then it hit me, his ramen didn't have Naruto fishcakes in it, the shop was out today.

That's it.

My idea finally hit me, I'll just make Naruto homemade ramen with Naruto fishcakes and surprise him! My smile grew wide as I raced around the market district buying all the ingredients I needed, I even picked up a small cake for him. I was a smiling mess on my way to his apartment. I was determined to cheer him up one way or another.

I stood in front of his door and knocked on it with my shoe. No answer. I knocked louder, still no answer so I kicked it hard a few times. Still nothing.

I sighed loudly, so he wasn't home. I hung my head low and looked at the doorknob, maybe it was unlocked? I reached for it and turned it. Too my surprise it was. I quickly slipped in his apartment and closed the door behind me.

"This place is a disaster." I scoffed, garbage, and dirty clothes littered the floor as I went to his kitchen/bedroom and set the bags down on his table. Not to mention a sink full of dirty dishes

Maybe I should clean up first.

I started with his dirty dishes first, then I worked on cleaning up all the garbage and throwing it all in garbage bags and set them by the door to be thrown out later, I organized all his shoes on the rack, even placing my own. And lastly I picked up all his dirty clothes and threw them in his washing machine and started them.

I smiled triumphantly at my housecleaning skills and went to start making Naruto his ramen. As the meat was searing in the pan I looked at the clock, it was well past midnight and Naruto still wasn't home, I sighed and bit my lip, I hope he's okay.

I cooked the noodles and chopped the green onions, and added the seaweed to his bowl. I perfectly put everything together, I even added a few extra Naruto fishcakes, and sat the bowl on the table along with his small cake. I sat down at his table and watched the steam rise off of his ramen.

I glanced at the clock again, it's past 1am. Maybe I should go look for him? Maybe he just wants to be left alone?

I pulled at my hair mentally fighting myself, no I'll stay here. Naruto can handle himself, but still, I was worried about him. I put my head on my as on the table and watched the closed door to his room. My eyes started to closed and I forced them back open, buy my body was tired and wanted sleep so they closed again until I fell asleep.

Naruto's front door closing startled me from my sleep. My head shot up and I looked around rubbing the sleep from my eyes.

"What the hell?" He whispered as his footsteps grew closer to his room. I quickly stood up from my chair and stood next to next to it, I flattened my hair hair down and waited.

He pulled away, still holding onto my face, "Thank you Y/N." His baby blue sparkled to life, "Of course Naruto. Anything for you. You don't have to feel alone anymore, you have me."
