Kakashi (Part 1)

Never thought I'd see you again.

(

Age 28)

Darkness.

That's all I see.

Pure darkness.

Well of course that's all I'm going to see.

Because I'm blind.

My eyes are completely covered by bandages.

But being blind doesn't give me a handicap, in all actuality, it has made me more aware of my surroundings. I can sense all kinds of chakra, even if someone tried hide it.

It's because of this that I knew there was a heated battle going on a few miles away from me. I only know two of the 10 chakras I sense.

Hidan and Kakuzu. Two members of the Akatsuki.

I didn't want to get in the middle of their fight so I didn't intervene.

As far as I can tell there are eight shinobi. two ran off to help the one that led Hidan away deep in the woods, past the tree I was hiding in. I was going to stay here for the night but their fighting made me change my plans.

The main fight was getting more and more heated, I was actually curious and decided to hop my way to them.

I stopped just far enough away from Ground Zero and channelled my chakra to my brain and Invisioned the battle seeing their chakra.

I saw a male, couldn't be no older than 16, his chakra was completely different than anything I've ever sensed, it had this darkness around it. But his normal chakra was bright and lively.

I pulled my full body length cloak hood tighter around my head to cover my face more before turning to run away but a name forced me to stop and whip my head back around.

"Kakashi!" A man yelled.

My heart stopped mid beat.

Kakashi.

That's a name I haven't heard in years. The last time I saw him, actually saw his face was so many years ago when we were children. We were on the same team, we always hated each other, but that hate soon turned to friendship. We became closer when Obito died, me Kakashi and Rin were conjoined at the hips after that. But after Rin died, I started to blame Kakashi for both of their deaths. Even though both of them weren't his fault. Obito sacrificed himself to save Kakashi from being crushed, and Rin threw herself in front of Kakashi when he used the chidori and he accidentally killed her.

The words I said to him still ring in my ears and shattered my heart. We were only thirteen at the time;

"It's all your fault that both of our friends are dead Kakashi!" My hands were balled into tight fists, Kakashi stood in front of me, taking all my abuse.

"If you didn't trip Obito would still be alive! If you didn't use your stupid Chidori Rin would still alive!"

Kakashi only looked at the ground. He took every word I said to heart.

"It should have been you!" I yelled at him and tackling him, sitting on his waist and threw a punch at his face. He took my hit, tears in his eyes.

Tears poured from my eyes and landed on Kakashi's face as I kept punching him.

"You should have died! You don't get the right to cry for them! You hated Obito! You hated Rin!"

As each of my punches landed, he only cried more. But he ever made a move to hit me back, or push me off of him.

But I soon stopped, panting hard. I looked at Kakashi's bruised and bloody face. No matter what pain I caused him, I still hated him.

"You're right." Kakashi whispered looking me in the eyes.

I got up off of him and took a few steps back, "I h-hate you." I said through clenched teeth, looking at the ground.

"I hate you!" I yelled. He stood up wiping the blood from his mouth.

"I'm sorry Y/N." He cried and began to run away.

"NO! GET BACK HERE KAKASHI!!!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I left the Hidden Leaf Village that same night. I packed what clothes I could, and left through my window into the night. I didn't have a family, it was just me so I didn't leave any family to worry about me.
Pulling myself from the flashback I saw Kakashi laying in the dirt, struggling to to get up, his teammates were too far away to help, and they were in their own battles. One of Kakuzu's monsters ready to attack.
Fuck.
I jumped from the tree branch I was using to watch the battle and jumped in front of Kakashi, doing hand signs.
"Ice Style; Ice wall!" I yelled and slammed my hand on the ground, a huge Ice wall forming and blocking the monsters attack.
"Ice Style? Who are you?" Kakashi asked behind me in confusion.
"Kakashi- Sensei are you okay?" That boy who has the dark chakra came running to his side helping him up.
"Yeah I'm fine."
I ignored him, letting my ice wall shatter.
"Get him out of here kid." I said looking behind me, making sure my face wasn't seen.
"Just who are you lady?." The kid asked as he put Kakashi's arm around his neck.
"I said get him out of here! Now!" I yelled making the kid flinch and then jump away with Kakashi.
"Ah. The Ice Ninja. You have a 70 mill bounty on your head princess." Kakuzu damn near purred with excitement.
"70 million?!" Tenzo exclaimed, "Who is this woman?!"
"Well too bad you won't be getting any of it." I mocked holding my hand out and an Ice sword formed. I gripped it tight and stood in a fighting stance.
"We shall see about that!" Kakuzu yelled and sent two of his monsters after me. As they charged at me, I stood still, getting a feel for their chakra.
Closer.
"What are you doing?! Get out of the way!" The kid yelled.
Closer.
They were almost close enough.
NOW!
As they were one foot from me I jumped high in the air, they clashed into each other just as I had hoped. I jumped on one of their backs holding my Ice sword up high,
"Ice Style; Ice sword Barrage!" I yelled, my sword growing spikes, I stabbed the monster in the head, ice shards shooting out inside of it, tearing it apart.
I ran down to it's mask and stabbed it again, slicing down it's mask killing it.
"What the-"
"She killed it?"
I landed flat on my feet and ran to the side of the other one, I dodged it's attacks, left and right with quick precision not slipping up once. I jumped out of the way of an electric attack, but Kakuzu already had another monster waiting for me, it's mouth opened wide and a gaint fire ball emerged.
"Shit!" I yelled trying to get out of the way but I was too slow. The monster shot the fire ball at me, hitting me in the back.
"AAGGHHH!" I screamed in pain as the fire burned through my cloak and burning my bare back and stomach.
I landed flat on my face, shaking in pain. I slowly lifted my chest off the ground with my arms and heard gasps behind me.
"S-shes blind?!" Kakashi and Tenzo pointed out.
Damn it.
"You're blind? How can you dodge my attacks so easily?" Kakuzu asked clearly pissed off
"All because I'm blind doesn't mean I can't sense charka dumbass." I had one good last Jutsu left to use before I hit my limit. The ice sword Barrage takes a lot out of me.
"Naruto help her, I'll buy you some time." Kakashi said, the kid from earlier came to my side and helped me to my feet, holding on to me so I could find my balance.
Kakashi began attacking the other monsters, Tenzo helping close behind.
"Thanks kid."
"It's Naruto." He hauled me to his teammates and sat me down on the ground.
"Here let me heal you." A girl asked behind me, I felt cool hands touch my back making me tense up.
"Thank you. I really appreciate it."
"No problem. I'm Sakura. What's your name?" She asked cheerful.
"I-its not important." I wishpered.
"All done."
I quickly stood up and ran back to fight.  I was locked in battle with the water monster, I was struggling, my chakra pretty low, but I dodged it's attacks, jumping away at the last second. I heard Kakashi's yell in pain, he got stabbed in the shoulder and a monster was coming right in for the kill.
"Kakashi!!" I exclaimed running in front of him waving hand signs.
"Ice Style: Ice barricade!!" I held my hands up in the air, a thick sheet of ice encasing me and Kakashi. The monster beat on the ice left and right, not wavering an inch. I was panting hard trying my best to keep the barricade up. But my chakra was running out fast.
The monster pulled back and I took my chance. I shattered the barricade jumping in the air, "Ice sealing, 10 seal Jutsu!" I slammed my hand on it's belly making a seal, ice began to form on it untill it was completely encased and couldn't move. I fell down to the ground with a loud grunt, my body refusing to move.
"Miss are you okay?" Kakashi asked picking me up bridal style, his warm hands on my bare back sending shivers up my spine.
"Used t-t-too much chakra." I said barley above a whisper. I was laid down on the ground and soon passed out.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Who is she?" Tenzo asked to my left. I can sense all their chakra, all 8 of them in different locations around me. I can smell the forest as a breeze blew through, a backpack of some sort supporting my head.

"I'm not sure, she's not wearing a headband, no markings that I can see." Kakashi is to my right. Hearing his voice now that I'm not fighting makes my heart beat wildly, but at the same time makes it break.

I said all those aweful things to him when we were kids, I hope he has forgiven me, I could never hate him. Not matter what he did.

"I'm awake." My voice scratchy as I sat up, feeling around beside me and in front of me.

"Here's some water." A hand grabbed mine and placed a cup in it, I firmly had a grip on it and the hand let go, I put the cup to my mouth and took a big sip.

"Is Kakuzu dead?" I asked as I brought the cup back to my mouth for another sip.

"Yes." Kakashi replied taking the cup from me.

"What's your name?"

I smiled biting my lip. "That's a secret."

"How do you know my name?"

"I heard the kid say it. Naruto was it?"

The kids chakra walked into the room and stood against a wall.

"Where did you learn Ice Style?"

"Why so many questions. Just let me go and we will never see each other again." I was getting mad at the third degree they were giving me. I just helped them and they wanna bombard me with questions.

"There's only one person in this world that I know of who can use Ice Jutsu and she died a long time ago." Kakashi's voice sounded hurt but irritated that he wasn't getting any answer.

"You haven't changed have you Kakashi?" I sighed heavily and lifted my left arm and pulled up my sleeve, showing him my clans crest tattooed on my wrist. A Snowflake.

"Y-Y/N?" He whispered.

"Everyone out now." Kakashi demanded, nobody moved at first but he got louder.

"Now!" Feet quickly scrambled out of the room, the door closeing behind them.

He didn't say anything at first, just sat there at my side.

"I-i thought I'd never see you again." His voice was shaky, he was close to tears.

"I'm sorry. I'm so damn sorry Kakashi." If I could cry I would, I was happy to see him, to know that he was alive.

"What happened to you?" His hand gently touched mine making me jump slightly, he mumbled a sorry.

"I was so mad at you. I said things I didn't mean. Hurtful things." My grip on his hand tightened. "I didn't mean anything that I said. I swear."

He listened to me, not saying a word, just letting me vent to him.

"I left that night, I had to get away, from you. From Sensei. From the Leaf. I had no ties to the Leaf then, so no one would miss me-"

"I missed you!" His voice boomed next to me making me flinch.

"I missed you every damn day that you were gone!  I tried looking for you, but I always failed." His hand was shaking but he yanked his hand away and stood up pacing the floor.

"I blamed myself every day. I couldn't eat, I couldn't sleep, I was forced to believe that you were dead and was forced to stopped looking for you."

I bit my lip hard, almost hard enough to draw blood.

"I took your abuse that night. I took every word, every punch, every stab to my heart because I knew you were hurting. But we both lost both of our friends! We both lost two people close to us." I stood up and ran into his chest, wrapping my arms around his waist burying my face in his chest.

"Please stop. I'm sorry. Please..." I begged him, squeezing him tightly. His arms quickly wrapped around my shoulders, burying his face in my hair. We stayed that way for a good while.

"Please forgive me Kakashi." He pulled me away and held me at arms length.

"You've already been forgiven." I smiled and hugged him again. There was a knock on the door and we pulled apart.

"Come in." Kakashi said,

"We need to get going soon Kakashi."

Tenzo..

"Hello Tenzo." I smiled at him.

"Hey Y/N, good to see you again." He walked up to me and gave me a hug, but it was short lived.

I felt my away over to my bag and picked it up putting it over my shoulders, and buckling my pouch to my belt loop.

"Well guys, it was great being with you again. But I really need to get going." I said and felt my way to the door.

"Wait you aren't coming with us?" Kakashi asked grabbing my hand.

"No. I have something else I need to do." I slipped my hand out of his and faced him.

"Please. I just got you back. Just come back to the Leaf for a little while, rest up, restock on supplies. Then you can leave.."

I smiled at him, pulling my headband out of my bag and tying it around my thigh. "Alright, I'll go. But only for a week."

"A week." I could hear the smile in Kakashi's voice as he placed a hand on my bare back and lead me out of the door.

I have actually turned this into its own story! It's called ( No Matter What Kakashi x Reader) I had so many ideas for this one shot that didn't want to keep making different parts as one shots, so if you liked this part and part two then I hope you go give this one a read! Thank you!!
