Chopsticks and Sake

Kakashi was the Hokage,

Y/N was a Jonin.

Kakashi relished on the fact that he could see her whenever he wanted just by calling upon her, the perks of being the Hokage is that no one can refuse seeing him. Sure it was an abuse of power, but he didn't care.

Y/N and Kakashi were long term friends, they were in Anbu together, they were on the same team fresh out of the academy. They were close to say the least. But his heart had always yearned for her.

See Kakashi was never fond of other women, he didn't really know how to chase after a woman. All he knew was what was in Master Jiraiya's books, that he always reads. He has even asked his other friends, Asuma Sarutobi, and Might Gai on how to get a woman to like you. Though they did always tease him about it, and they knew exactly who he was talking about, even though he never gave them a name.

So here he sits, in the Hokage's office, bored to hell and back, waiting on Y/N to show up for the third time today.

There was a small soft knock on the office door, before he could invite them in the door opened and in came Y/N, her H/C hair swaying as she turned her head to say something to Genma and giggled as she fully walked in the office and held the door for Genma to walk in too.

"Yes Lord Hokage?" Y/N asked smiling as she bowed.

Kakashi sighed heavily and rolled his eyes, "How many times do I have to tell you Y/N? You don't have to call me that." He leaned his face in his hand and squished his cheek in his palm.

It was Y/N's turn to roll her eyes at him, "Yeah yeah." She waved him off and crossed her arms over her chest and leaned on one leg sticking her hip out. "What's up?" She asked.

Kakashi noticed Genma stating at her ass as he stood in the corner of the room by the door, chewing on his senbon. Jealousy bubbled in Kakashi's chest as Genma stared at her like she was a piece of meat.

"Kakashi? Helloooooo?" Y/N asked leaned over his desk and waving her hand on front of his face.

Kakashi shook his head and stared into her E/C eyes. "Could you be a dear friend and run and get me some ramen? I'm starving." He gave her a closed eye smile and she chuckled. "Ichiraku?" She asked standing up straight again.

"As always." He said in a sing song voice.

She humphed with smile and bowed dramatically at him. "As you wish Lord." She loved to tease Kakashi any chance she got, he glared at her as she winked and turned around to leave.

"I'll go with you!" Genma exclaimed and held the door open for her.

"Remember-" Kakashi stared to say but she cut him off with a wave of her hand over her shoulder.

"I know what to do."

And with that she left with Genma in tow.

Kakashi sat back in his chair and sighed heavily as he rubbed his face with his hands, the jealousy that he feels towards Genma made his head feel like it was going to burst. Maybe he could send him out on a lame mission that could take a few days just to keep himself from throwing Genma out of the window behind him. He turned his chair around and watched Y/N and Genma walk towards where Ichiraku's  Ramen was stationed. Genma tried to step closer and she would take a small step to the side in the opposite direction. This made Kakashi smile through his mask and feel a bit better about his jealousy.

Some time had passed as Kakashi began to do the paperwork that piled on his desk. As he finished up the scroll he was working on, a knock on his door caused him to jump.

"Come in." He kept his voice bored but loud so the person can hear him. The door opened and Y/N swayed in, a bag in one day and a bottle of Sake in the other.

He smiled at her which she happily returned, but his smiled grew wider behind his mask when he saw Genma walk in and then leave, closing the door with a swollen left eye.

"Here you go Sir." Y/N said as she laid out his meal in front of him with a pair of chopsticks.

"Thank you so much." Kakashi beamed and broke the chopsticks, pulled down his mask and began to eat his meal. Y/N was the only one he let see him without his mask.

"Plan on drinking?" He asked taking another bite of his rice as he motioned to the Sake bottle she had placed on his desk.

"Oh yeah." She chuckled  nodding her head pursing her lips. Y/N got up and walked to a table by the door, Kakashi admiring her back side.

No wonder Genma was staring so hard.

She grabbed two glasses and walked back to her chair she had placed beside Kakashi's desk. She pulled the cork out of the bottle and poured some in both glasses.

"Thought you could use a drink too Kashi." His cheeks tinted a pink color at her nickname for him but nodded his head in thanks none the less.

She plucked the chopsticks right outta his hand and used them to take a bite out of his miso pork bites.

"Hey! That was mine." Kakashi grumbled making her laugh and use her finger to wipe off any trace of food off her lips. Kakashi was in a trance and he hasn't even drank his sake yet, her full lips begged to be kissed by him. Her fingers begged for him to hold. Well at least to him that's what they told him anyway.

Y/N took a other bite out of his food and handed him his chopsticks back with a smirk and sipped on her Sake.

"You just had these in your mouth you know?" He asked voice laced with fake annoyance.

Y/N rolled her eyes and huffed at him, "We have shared the same breath before hiding from rouge Ninja under water. I think my mouth being on your chopsticks isn't any different." Even though she sounded cool and collected she was actually blushing at the fact that they once shared a semi kiss.

Kakashi's own face heated up once more at the memory.

Y/N was fighting off two Rouge Ninja from the Village Hidden the Sand, Kakashi was also tied up in his own battle with a Sound Ninja in the forest. After activating his sharingan he was able to take the Sound Ninja down. As he stopped to catch his breath he heard Y/N yell in pain and fall into the river.

"Y/N!!" Kakashi yelled and ran after towards where she were fighting. One Ninja already dead on the ground. The other severely injured. The hurt Ninja smirked at Kakashi as he jumped in the air and pulled a paper bomb and threw it towards Kakashi. Thinking quick Kakashi jumped into the river next to him and swam down fast.

He saw her floating down struggling to breathe. He swam to her, pulling her by her waist to his chest pulling down his mask and connected his lips to hers to share his breath. Her eyes popped open and he breathed air in her mouth, the rush of air burning her lungs as she breathed the air down. The paper bomb went off as Kakashi pulled away and pointed up to the surface of the water. Y/N didn't move at first, just stared at him in shock but quickly shook her head and swam up with him.

The both gasped for air as their heads hit the open air, Y/N coughing and sputtering as she swam to the bank.

"Are you okay?" Kakashi asked as he pulled her up out of the water and kneeled beside her and she coughed.

"Yeah I'm good. Thanks." She panted.

As Kakashi thought about that day Y/N had taken more bites out of his food and drank some more Sake. Her cheeks were red and her eyes were glossy.

"Hey K-Kakashi?" Y/N was fumbling with his chopsticks.

"Y-yeah?" He slowly took the chopsticks back and used them to pick up a piece of pork and put it in his mouth. Savoring the taste of her mouth on them.

Wow I really am a perv.

"Do you ever think about that "kiss"?" She air quoted the word  kiss.

"Almost always." Kakashi's heart picked up in pace, his hands trembled as he held on tight to his chopsticks as he spoke nothing but the truth to her.

"Then kiss me for real this time." Y/N said in a soft tone. Kakashi gulped and dropped the sticks and stood up quickly, Y/N following suit. He hesitantly placed his hands on her red warm cheeks and slowly brought his head down closer to hers, she grabbed onto his wrists and leaned up closing her eyes.  He closed his eyes as their lips finally connected in a soft kiss.

Her lips were still soft as the day he gave her breath, plump like they had always been.

Kakashi sighed into her lips as they pulled apart.

"Anything else you'd like to confess?" She asked raising an eyebrow and smirked.
