Guy & Kakashi & You

Rivalry Contest.

(

Age 27)

I was helping haul lumber and nails to some of the builders who were here helping rebuild the Hidden Leaf after Pein had destroyed it. I had picked up some nails and walked towards the builders.

"Here you go. You guys need anything else?" I asked handing an old man the nails who reached for them.

"No I think we got it, thank you dear." He said with a kind smile and began hammering in a nail into the wood.

"Okay. If you need anything to just come find me." I said and walked off with a wave and headed to see if anybody else needed my help.

I spotted Kiba, and Shino on a house hammering away at the roof, Akamaru proudly sitting by Kiba, a hammer in his mouth. I stopped and yelled up to them,

"Hey guys! Need any help?" They looked down at me and smiled waving at me.

"Uh sure! You mind getting us some water?" Kiba asked rubbing the sweat off his forehead with the back of his hand.

"Yeah sure! I'll be right back." I turned around and jogged to the stand designated for water for the Village. I grabbed three bottles of water and jogged to a discarded pile of junk, I dug through it until I finally found a bowl for Akamaru to drink out of.

I jogged back to the boys and jumped on the roof, crouching down and handing them the water and placed the chipped bowl down for Akamaru.

"Thank you so much Sensei!" Kiba smiled and gulped down the water.

"Yes thank you." Shino took a few sips and sat it down by his feet.

"Damn it's hot out here." Kiba sighed taking off his black leather jacket and tying it around his waist, wiping more sweat from his brow.

"Oh, I got a rag in my pouch somewhere." I began to dig through my bag.

"You could always take off your tank top and give it to me Sensei." Kiba smiled blushing hard with a chuckle.

I grabbed the rag and threw it at his face standing up.

"Nice try Kiba, I'm old enough to almost be your mom."

"Key word is almost."

I rolled my eyes and jumped down off roof. "Later guys." I laughed and jogged off.

I walked until I reached the higher level of the village and I leaned against the railing and looked out at the village, we have made so much progress these last few weeks. I sighed happily as a nice breeze blew through cooling down my hot sweaty skin, my shoulders, back, and chest were already getting sunburned,

I heard voices to my left and and saw Guy and Kakashi having a Rock Paper Scissors fight. Again. They are such children, always having rivalry contests to see who was better than the other, so far it's a tie, I believe, 50 to 50.

I smiled at them though, at a time like this friendly rivalry is a nice change of pace. I turned away from them to go back and help more people but Guy's booming voice calling out my name caused me to yelp on surprise and jump up stopping in my tracks.

I turned to face him as he ran to me, leaving Kakashi standing there behind him just as clueless as I am. He stopped in front of and smiled his award winning smile.

"Ah Miss Y/N! What a lovely surprise seeing you. I have a request."

I sweat dropped, this doesn't sound too good. Last time he said he had a request I was forced to stand in two feet of snow at midnight while he and Kakashi had a race to even out their score. I was there to announce the winner, and all I got in return was a cold and some homemade soup. The soup was pretty good though, so I guess it wasn't all bad.

"Okay, what is it?" I asked shrugging. He smiled and grabbed my hand running me back with him to Kakashi.

"Oh hello Y/N." Kakashi gave me his closed eye smile and a wave, a slight blush on his cheeks.

"Hi Kakashi." I waved back as Guy let go of my hand.

"Alright my Rival. Our next contest is a race." He pointed all the way to Hokage mountain. "The finish line is all the way up there."

"Guy I don't think now is the best-"

"Now is the perfect time Kakashi!" Guy yelled putting his hands on his hips.

"The prize is the Youthful Y/N! The winner gets to take her out on a date!"

My jaw hit the ground and I almost fell over. "H-Hey don't I get a say in this?" I asked shyly tugging on Guy's green sleeve. Both Guy and Kakashi ignored me as they stared each other down.

"Okay. You're on."

Kakashi agreed??!!

I slowly turned and tried to tip toe away, they both grabbed my shoulders and pulled me back to them. I slumped my shoulders forward and sighed heavily.

"What do you say Y/N? Winner takes you to dinner?" Kakashi asked smiling at me behind his mask, more blush creeping up his cheeks.

I looked at both of them and sighed, then smiled.

"I guess I don't have a choice huh? Alright I'm in." I gave them a thumbs up and a wink.

They both smiled, knuckle bumped and slapped hands together.

"So I'll go and gather Lee and set up at the top of Lord Thirds head and wait for you guys. When I get up there I'll give you guys the signal." I went to walk away and then stopped turning back to them,

"By the way, I like pork buns and miso soup. Also if possible, I also like white Lilly's." I waved to them and ran off jumping from roof to roof to find Lee.

I spotted Lee deadlifting some of the lumber and jumped down to him.

"Hey Lee! I got a favor to ask." I asked standing up and helping him set down the log of lumber.

"Yes! What can I do for you Y/N sensei?"
Lee was just as energetic and loud as Guy. I slapped him on the back and with a smile.

"Guy has entrusted me to set a finish line up for him and Kakashi, they are going to have another race. I need you to help me, the finish line is going to be at the top of Lord Third's head."

He smiled and twirled around giving me a thumbs up.

"Excellent! Then we shall go and wait for Guy sensei and Kakashi Sensei!"

We gathered two small poles and a piece of torn cloth and ran our way to Hokage mountain. Once there Lee and I set up the finish line and I jogged to the edge of the head carving and shot lightening in the air from my hand, signaling Guy and Kakashi that I was ready.

Then I saw a huge cloud of dust, "And the race is on!" I pumped my fist in the air with Lee running next to me watching in amazement. Me and Lee were bouncing with excitement and adrenaline watching the two men race, they flew into the air and began throwing things at each other but then as they landed they tripped and went tumbling down.

I winced at them and turned to Lee who was now doing push ups by the finish line.

"I forgot to ask Y/N Sensei, what is the prize this time?" He was doing one arm push ups and to be frank he was making me tired.

"A dinner date...with me..." I was blushing in embarrassment to the young shinobi, who stopped what he was doing and jumped up with hearts in his eyes.

"Then maybe I should race next time if you are the prize again!"

I laughed and sat down next to him pulling my knees up to my chest,

"I'm a little too old for you kiddo." I ruffled his bowl cut and he blushed.

I felt the rumble underneath me and I stood up, "Here they come Lee! Get ready!"

Lee got into position to announce the winner as I ran to the other end of the line and waited for the guys to cross it.

They both came into view as they ran up Lord Thirds face and ran towards the line, through it and accidentally knocked me down in the process of them having troubles stopping.

"Well Lee?! Who won?" Guy asked turning to his former student.

I stood up and dusted myself off, I honestly couldn't tell who won, to me it looked like a fair draw.

Lee's eyes filled with tears as he cried dramatically.

"Kakashi sensei!" He wailed making Guy wail as well.

I laughed at them as Kakashi walked up to me and nudged my shoulder with his. "Sooooo pork buns huh?"

I blushed and giggled, "Yup. And Miso soup and-"

A white Lilly appeared in front me with Kakashi blushing like crazy.

"And white Lilly's." I nodded my head and took the flower and walked over to Guy patting him on the back.

"Sorry Guy, maybe next time."

His crying had stopped and as he stood up with determination, "Next time? Next time I will win Y/N's heart! Just you watch Kakashi!"

"Wait! That's not what I meant Guy!" I yelled flinging my arms around in a panic.
