You hummed to yourself as you walked without an destination around the hideout with Konan. You were carrying Deidara's baby for nine months now and you felt even more happy then a kid in a candy store you dared to say! Everything had been running smoothly and as a healthy pregnancy should. Your baby is surely giving you and his Daddy unequalled joy!

But! As a woman drowning in hormones and that as passed to multiple body changes to better accommodate a child, you had somethings that stressed you tremendously.

"Child birth?" Asked Konan.

You shook your head.

"Not being able to get thin after child birth?"

You shook your head again.

"...It's Deidara isn't it?"

"Yes! Konan, he is being so annoying! For God's sake! I'm an S-ranked Jounin and he is scared I will hurt myself while going down the stairs!"

Konan giggled, remembering when he found out you were pregnant and started yelling at Pain to make the steps lower. Hidan and Kakuzo had to sleep all cuddled up on the couch for a week as the stairs were fixed since they couldn't get to their rooms.

"If he is like this now imagine when the baby comes out... I bet he isn't going to sleep at all and he is just going to stare at it all night." You said while picking up some colourful flowers Zetsu had planted.

"Just the thought makes me shiver."

"Yes. I once woke up in the middle of the night with him staring at me and smiling. I thought he was going to rape me." You sighed.

You continue to walk around for a while until your back started to hurt.

"Konan, my back is getting sore. Let's go back inside, yes?" You said as you stretched a little until you heard a satisfying pop.

Konan nodded and offered a kind smile and her arm for you to take.

After a short walk, you went to the common room and sat on the couch, giving your back its much deserved rest. You proceed to admire the beautiful flowers that Zetsu had planted just for you. He had been prohibited by Deidara to be around you during pregnancy since his cannibalism tendencies might appear and you couldn't defend yourself. Even if you told him that you would be fine and even after Zetsu had told him he wouldn't eat his teammates, the blond didn't budge. Since he didn't have the opportunity to congratulate personally, he had sent you a message saying that he had planted your favourite flowers in the garden and you should picked them up when you thought they were ready to.

"He even pushed my friends away..." You sighed. "Positive thinking (Y/N)! Maybe Deidara will calm down! After childbirth we are both going to be able to protect the baby properly!" You nodded to yourself and rubbed your belly felling your son or daughter starting to kick.

At that moment you heard the other members coming back. The majority passed by you without even giving you a second look. Pain and Itachi gave you a tiny smile and nod of acknowledgement. And Tobi gave you a crushing hug before being pushed away by your husband.

"GET AWAY FROM MY CHILD YOU IDIOT! YOU ARE GOING TO SUFFOCATE IT!!!!!"

Tobi just started crying and whineing. 

"WHAAAA! SENPAI IS SO SCARY!" He screamed.

After you gave Deidara his welcome back kiss, you mouthed an apology for the cute pumpkin head. You felt like being around Tobi had prepared you a lot for motherhood, after all, he practically acted like a child. When on missions, you always have to pay special attention to him since he had an extraordinary ability to get himself into dangerous situations.

Deidara proceed to ask the usual questions:

"How is the baby?"

"It feels normal."

"How are you?"

"My back hurts a little."

"I guess that's normal since that you are carrying a baby. Did you eat?"

"Yes."

"Did you drink that juice with celery and cucumber I made you?"

"Yes." Lie. You threw the juice on the sink and ate more than half of Hidan's chocolate birthday cake Konan had made for his surprise birthday party tomorrow.

"Good!" He gave you a kiss in the cheek. "I'm gonna get you another one. You need to stay hydrated."

"Just water will do Dei!" 

"No. The juice is more nutritious."

Before he could go, you got up and grabbed his arm.

"PLEASE! ANYTHING BUT THAT DISGUSTING JUI-"

Before you could finish your sentence, you felt a sharp pain pain on your lower back and something wet going down your legs. You immediately put your arms over your belly and groaned.

"(Y/N)-CHAN PEED!"

"YOU IDIOT! HER WATER BROKE(?)!" Sasori snapped at Tobi.

Deidara was immediately on your side. "SOMEBODY DO SOMETHING!"

"YOU ARE THE FATHER DEAL WITH IT!" Kisame said.

"GET KONAN SHE IS A WOMAN SHE KNOWS WHAT TO DO!" Someone said between all the screaming.

"WHAT IS KONAN GOING TO DO? SHE HAS NEVER BEEN PREGNANT!" Pain awnsered.

"THE BITCH PROBABLY IS NOW! I HEAR YOU GUYS GOING AT IT EVERY NIGHT I CAN'T FUCKING SLEEP!" Hidan answered back at Pain.

After at least 10 seconds of complete silence and everyone looking at either Pain or Hidan, you groaned again, this time louder.

"WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO?" Deidara said again.

"BITCH I'M OUT I DONT WANNA BE FUCKING BLAMED IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG!" Hidan prepared to go out the door before being stopped by Kakuzu.

"NOBODY LEAVES UNTIL WE FUCKING FIGURE WHAT TO DO."

"NO CURSING! THE BRAT HAS PROBABLY HIS EARS OUT ALREADY!" Itachi said, starting to get nervous with all the fuss.

"WE ARE ALL GOING TO DIEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" Tobi screamed.

"I know how to take care of childbirth."

Everybody stopped to look at Zetsu who had just got in the common room.

"Oh no. No. No. Nonononononono. Every one but the baby eater."

"I don't eat babies. At least not my friends' babies." He answered.

You lay yourself down the couch as you watched everyone leaving the room and promised to Kakuzu you would buy a new couch.

Deidara sat beside you and hold your hand.

"In a few hours, our masterpiece will be out."

And he kissed your sweaty forehead.

After eight hours of excruciating pain, it was time for the rest of your life of pure happiness.

You hugged the newborn close to you. Deidara had gone out the room to heal his probably broken fingers. Before he left he looked Zetsu straight in the eye. A look that told him he would be watching him and if he touched his baby he would be dead.

Zetsu just shrugged it off, congratulated you again, and gave you and your baby space.

"It seems like your father is still going to be very protective you (B/N)." You giggled.

Your baby continued to be fast asleep, and you allowed yourself to daydream about your future as a family.

You forgot about your problems, your village, the friends that had abandoned you, and the comrades you had seen getting killed.

Deidara entered the room and sat next to you again, looking at his child with the same look of wonder in his eyes.

At that moment you both thought:

"This is the life."

I wanted to apologize for the long wait. Last few months really killed my will to write. They drained all of my energy.
