Ryu Flashback POV

When we got to the door to enter the exam room we saw that Kakashi was waiting for us. He wanted me and Haku to wait before we went in since there was someone who wanted to see us after the others went in. We then waited for a bit.

Ryu: It's been 5 minutes and no sign of whoever wanted to-

I then heard someone approaching us. I turned around to see Lord 3rd behind us.

Hiruzen: Hello you two, how are you doing?

Haku then immediately bowed in his direction.

Haku: We're doing fine.

Ryu: Come on Haku, Lord 3rd isn't like that. You don't have to bow every time you see him.

Hiruzen: He's right. Just a simple greeting is fine.

Haku: Right!

She then went back up a bit embarrassed.

Ryu: Anyway what did you want to see us about Lord 3rd?

Hiruzen: Yes about that I just wanted to remind you two that your special cases in this exam, your going to be working with each other and you probably will become a target once they see that it's just the two of you. Just make sure to be carful and look out for each other.

Haku: Of course.

Ryu: Will do.

Hiruzen: Also one last thing.

He then looked directly at me.

Hiruzen: Ryu, look forward to the end of the exam, there's a little surprise waiting for you once you finish the second exam.

Ryu: What is it?

Hiruzen: You'll have to find out. I wish you the best of luck.

He walked off.

Ryu: Thank you Lord 3rd. Alright Haku lets go.

I said with a confident smirk. When we walked in I saw all the applicants, and their looks would be intimidating if they weren't all so much weaker than me.

Ryu: Looks like there's some competition this year. All of them have at least above average chakra.

Haku: Lets go find the others.

I then turned my head and saw the others they looked shocked to see something on the floor.

Ryu: Hey guys what's up?

Naruto: ...How do you do so many A Rank assignments in a week?

Sakura: It's just not humanly possible...

Sasuke: What are you?

Ryu: I'm just a strong guy.

Haku: Strong is an understatement.

Another Time Skip

So we finished the written exam on the test. Haku and I figured out a way to cheat and knew that they wanted us to after the first question. So I used my Sharingan and Haku figured out a way to use her ice to cheat. Naruto of course didn't answer any of the questions and kicked out by being himself and loudly exclaiming that he wouldn't run away and that he would become the Hokage, so basically doing what he does best. After all that some crazy lady named Anko Mitarashi came bursting through the window in a compact ball. Ibiki our exam procter for the first round told her that she was early again. For some reason she really reminded me of two someone's, and not in a good way. After that we waited another day before the second faze of the exam started. And now we're here.

Ryu POV

Ryu: Alright now that that's over let's start the hard part.

Anko: Oh you seem confident.

Ryu: Should I not be?

Naruto: Yeah this next part is gonna be a piece of cake.

Anko: Oh a couple of tough guys eh?

She then threw two kunai at Naruto and I. I caught mine with no effort but Naruto couldn't and got cut.

Anko: Are you tough enough to handle this? You aren't afraid are you?

Ryu: No but your gonna be if you don't back away from me.

I then sent her a glare making her smirk a bit. I then felt something and I grabbed one of my machetes and Anko grabbed one of her knives. I turned to see one of the grass ninja holding a kunai with their tongue.

Totally a Grass Ninja: I was just returning your kunai to you after he tossed it.

Anko: Thank you grass ninja.

We then stayed silent for a bit. I was still holding up my machete since I was really on edge for some reason.

Anko: You know, I only really recommend standing this close behind me if you want to meet a premature end.

Ryu: Same goes for you. And I got a free hand, and a machete just waiting to be used. And you grass ninja-

I then put my machete back into its sheath.

Ryu: You better watch yourself around me. I have my eye on you.

Grass Ninja: Believe me I meant no harm.

Anko: Likewise.

The grass ninja then went back to her spot.

Ryu: 'I don't like the smell of that grass ninja. It smells almost reminiscent to him.'

Shojo: Composure Ryu. And there's now way he'd be here after so long.

Ryu: 'Your right.' Now would you back away from me? I don't want to be put under surveillance for murder.

Anko: I like you. Looks like this exam is gonna be fun.

While I had the chance I marked that grass ninja in case I needed to.

Ryu: By the way I already got the form. Here.

I gave her the form that if in any case we died it wouldn't fall on her.

Anko: How the-

Ryu: Don't ask. Here Haku.

I then handed her a form.

Haku: Thanks.

I then handed the other ones I got to team 7. They knew better than to ask do the just went with it. Anko then explained that the second exam would be held in the forest of death. We would be surviving in a forest for 5 days. Within those 5 days we would have to collect a heaven and an earth scroll. Once you get both you have to head to the big tower. And we had to stay alive an not get eaten on just plain killed by the monsters here.

Anko: Alright everyone clear on this?

Every applicant nodded.

Anko; Alright then head to your designated area.

The all then spread out to our entrance. Before we got to entrance I marked another applicant with an earth scroll since Haku and I got a heaven scroll.

We then waited for it to hit 2:30.

Anko: Alright heads up you maggots! The 2nd faze of the exam has begun!

I then used my Flying thunder God technique to flash over to the guy I marked with the scroll we needed. I did it so fast that they didn't even realize I was there.

Ryu: Go go go go go!!

Haku and I made a b line towards the tower at full speed.

Haku: Gotta hand it to you, marking them and taking their scroll was a smart move.

Ryu: You didn't think I was all forced did you? It takes more then that to be-

I then paused and thought to myself. I then gained a bit smirk

Ryu: I think I just found a way to beat the system.

Haku: How?

I then threw one of my special kunai to were the tower was. Haku instantly knew what I was thinking and went to hug me which I blushed at.

Haku: Your a genius!

After a second she realized what she had done and blushed.

Ryu: It's okay, you were gonna have to grab on anyway.

I then teleported us to the tower. When I saw a door there I tried to open it, but Lord 3rd saw this coming and bottled it tight.

Ryu: Stand back Haku, I'm gonna use a Jutsu.

She then stood back. I formed the Rakurai around my arm and jabbed the door. I blew off its hinges and we walked in. We saw something on the wall, some writing.

Ryu: If qualities of Heaven are what you desire, acquire wisdom to take your mind higher.

Haku: If Earthly qualities are what you lack, strengthen your body and prepare to attack.

Ryu&Haku: When Heaven and Earth are opened together, there perilous path will become righteous forever. This something is the secret way that guides us from this place today.

Ryu: I think that something is in the scroll.

Haku: Probably.

Ryu: Alright time to open these up.

I gave Haku the earth scroll and I held them heaven scroll. We then looked at each other then opened them.

Haku: A person?

Ryu: Wait a second- Haku drop the scroll!

We then threw the scrolls to the ground realizing that it was a summoning scroll.

Haku: Who's coming out from there?

Ryu: No idea.

We then waited for the dream to clear up. As another puff came I saw a womanly silhouette standing.

???: Ling time no see Ryu.

I was confused to hear that the person knew my name. What gave me an even bigger shock was the person that was actually there.

A/n: She's taller and her eyes are blue.

Ryu: W-w-what the... how... were... why?

???: I'm sorry I've been gone for so long. Lord 3rd told me everything that's happened and I'm so sorry I couldn't be there for you. I wish I had been there.

Haku: Ryu, who is she?

???: Wait you never told anyone about me? Shame on you.

Haku: Huh?

???: Why don't you try guessing who I am to him.

Haku POV

I looked at her closely, trying to figure out who she was. I looked at her hair which was long and blonde, but with a black streak. Her eyes were big and blue like Ryu's, and she seemed really young. Wait-

Ryu POV

I then ran to hug her. She wasn't expecting me to be there so quickly but after a second she returned the hug.

Ryu: After mom died I thought I was all alone. I didn't have anyone to look to for so long... it hurt!

My voice then started to get shaky.

Ryu: I had to watch my old team get killed in front of my eyes and got kidnapped and I had to get manipulated for 3 years, being forced to do someone's bidding if I wanted to live, barely making it back to the village alive! I had to live knowing for so long I didn't have anyone in the world that cared! I was alone for so long...

She then hugged me tighter.

???: There there, it's okay. Just let it all out. I'm here now and I won't leave you again.

She stroked my hair as I just started to let the tears in my eyes flow freely.

Ryu: Sis, I missed you so much...

Ryu's Sister: I'm so glad to see you've grown up into such an amazing young man. I heard all the good you've done. I couldn't be more proud of you I wanted little bro.

I didn't notice at first but all the stress and anger I had pent up, all the sadness all the pain inside had vanished.

Ryu: Welcome home Kira.

Kira: It's good to be home.

I then released her from the hug and she did the same. I then gave her a smile.

Haku: Ryu you have a sister?

Ryu: Oh right I never really mentioned her before. Haku, I'd like you to meet my big sister.

Kira: I'm Kira Namikaze! It's nice to meet ya!

Haku: I'm Haku Yuki, I'm Ryu's friend and partner in this exam.

Kira: Well thanks for looking after this guy. Sometimes he can go overboard when he fights.

Ryu: Hey your just as bad as me.

Kira: Well I can't deny that.

???: You really can't.

Kira: 'Shut up you.'

Shojo: Long time no see Shonen!

Shonen: Good to see you Shojo.

Ryu: 'How you been Shonen?'

Shonen: Oh you know same as always, dealing with your sister.

Kira: 'Oi I said zip it!' Anyway how long did it take you two the get here?

Haku: I think it was like, one minute?

Ryu: Yeah about.

Kira: Jeez, talk about overkill.

Ryu: We could have been there sooner but I didn't realize I could throw my kunai and teleport us here.

Kira: Blind to the obvious as always huh?

Ryu: Stuff it.

She then gave me a noogie like how she used to.

Kira: Can't see something till it's to late when your guards down.

Ryu: Let go!

Haku then began to laugh at my misfortune.

Ryu: Haku help!

Haku: No way, this is hilarious.

Ryu: How could you?!

I then reached for one of my Kunai but she got my arms.

Kira: Nice try but not gonna work!

I then started to chuckle.

Ryu: Ah but you see, that was only a distraction!

I then teleported behind Haku. She turned to see me with a rather irritated look.

Haku: Please don't hurt me.

Ryu: I won't do anything yet.

Haku: Oh thank God. Anyway were you two thinking about before?

Kira: 'Should I tell her about the telepathy?'

Ryu: 'You know what, I was gonna tell her eventually. Go ahead.'

Kira: Ok so me and my little brother have something called telepathy.

Haku: Telepathy? Like hearing each other's thoughts?

Kira: Exactly that. It's not some kind of Jutsu it's just natural with the two of us. So as hard as we try, we can only here each others thoughts. Even then we can only do it when we're close by.

Haku: That's amazing. That would probably help in a combat situation as well.

Ryu: It does. Well anyway I've gotta help team 7.

Kira: Anko's letting your do that?

Ryu: Yeah she doesn't really care.

Kira: Well then you two be careful, I'm pretty sure both of us have been on edge.

Ryu: Your right. It smells like he's here.

Haku: Who?

Ryu: Ever heard of the Sannin?

Haku: Who hasn't?

Ryu: One of them is here at the exams, and not one of the good ones. In fact, it's the one I hate the most.

I clenched my fist.

Haku: Which one?

My eyes then turned into there wolf variants.

Ryu: Orochimaru.

Then Kira's eyes turned into ones like mine.

Kira: That traitor shouldn't be here. But if you find him, do you really think you can defeat him?

Ryu: Being honest, no. Not yet anyway. But, I know, with 3 years of training, no more than that, I could defeat him. Right now I can probably match only a quarter of his strength, even at my max.

Kira: Including that power?

Ryu: Since I don't have full control over it, yeah.

Haku: What power?

Ryu: I'll tell everyone about it sometime. For right now all I'll say is that it was like back at the bridge when we fought.

She then shivered at the memory of me going berserk.

Haku: You mean that crimson and jet black Chakra?

Ryu: Thats the one, but it doesn't hold a candle to when I use more of its power.

Shojo: I'm not an it!

Ryu: 'She doesn't know that, just let it be.'

Shojo: *Getting pissed*

Kira: 'Just let it slide.'

Shojo: Fine.

Ryu: Alright we're off.

Kira: Be safe.

Haku then grabbed my arm and we were off. I chose to teleport to Naruto but that was a mistake. It turns out that he was in a giant stomach. A familiar one at that.

Naruto: Ryu?! Haku?!

Haku: W-where are we?!

Naruto: In a snake's stomach!

At those words I began to loose it.

Ryu: GRAAAAH!!!

I then made some hand signs.

Ryu: LIGHTNING STYLE: LIGHTNING CROSS!!

I shouted at the top of my lungs a put my hands out. In a surge of electricity, a cross made of lightning appeared and busted through the snakes stomach.

Naruto: You did it! That Jutsu was awesome!!

Ryu: I just hate snakes to my hearts content. Now let's go! From what I smell, the others are in danger!
