I woke up to hear everyone's footsteps near me. I stood up and stretched a bit before waving to them. I grabbed my bag and got ready to leave.

Kakashi: Early as always Ryu.

Ryu: And for once your on time.

Kakashi: Well you have me there.

We then walked out of the village, and as soon as we walked a few feet away from the gate Naruto started cheering.

Naruto: YEAH!! Alright!!

Sakura: What are you so happy about Naruto?

Ryu: This is your first time outside the village isn't it?

Naruto: Yeah! I'm traveler now, believe it!!

Tazuna: Hey! Am I supposed to entrust my life to this runt? He's a joke!

Kakashi: He's with me and I'm a Jonin, and if things go far south Ryu here is a ninja who could put other Jonin to shame.

Ryu: Alright we can do the talking while we're on our way to the village. Lets go.

We then went off to the land of waves.

Time skip to the six walking in the forest

It had been about 2 hours since we left and I was getting a little board since we weren't attacked.

Shojo: Hey Ryu, you getting bored?

Ryu: 'Of course I am. We've been walking for 2 hours and nothing has happened.'

Shojo: Well you could always use your flash step to get there faster.

Ryu: 'I'm not sure if the old guy can handle moving at sonic speeds- Hm?!'

I then felt either Naruto or Sakura doubt the old man.

Ryu: Which one of you just doubted Lord Hokage?!

They both looked at me pretty shocked since I wasn't even listening to their conversation. They both rapidly shook the heads.

Ryu: Don't let me catch you even thinking that he's not as great of a ninja as people make him out to be.

Kakashi: Well in any case this is only a C Rank mission. There won't be any enemy ninja attacking us.

I then got confused since I was talking to Shojo when they talked about that.

While we were walking, I noticed a puddle and immediately noticed it was an enemy ninja. I knew Kakashi noticed I to so I cracked a smirk before stomping over the puddle. After a few seconds Heard something come from that water. That when I saw chains wrap around Kakashi.

Naruto: HUH?!

Sakura: WHAT?!!

They then ripped him apart, but I knew it wasn't the real one. They then charged for me but I was completely calm.

Sakura: RYU LOOK OUT!!

When they charged at me I pushed off of one of their shoulders to backflip out of the way.

Naruto: Woah!

When he stumbled he accidentally cut Naruto, but went straight back to change at me, but I took off my bag and when it dropped, in an instant I was behind one of the ninja and before he knew what happened to him, he collapsed with the other one noticing that his partners head was cut off. They were all in aw at what they just witnessed.

Sakura: Woah...

Sasuke: Incredible...

Naruto: I didn't even see him take out his weapon...

As soon as the other one saw an opening, he went for the bridge builder.

Sakura: Stay behind me!!

Sakura got in front of him, while Sasuke got in front Sakura.

Ryu: Alright Sensei you can stop faking now.

He then came out of nowhere doing a lariat

Kakashi: Hi. Wow'd you know I was alive Ryu?

Ryu: I knew better than think you were dead.

Sakura looked happy to see that he was alive, while Sasuke looked disappointed that he couldn't do anything, and Naruto looked plain confused.

Naruto: Wait! How did you?-

Ryu: Substitution. Anyway Naruto, sorry I bumped those guys into you. It was the only way I could kill the first one.

Naruto: Wait Ryu why did you kill him?! I know they were gonna kill us but still! That doesn't make you any better than them!

Ryu: Listen Naruto I know it may seem harsh at first but this happens on missions. And sometimes if you need to protect someone, you have to do what needs to be done.

He looked like he was thinking on what I said.

Ryu: Just don't go doing it yourself okay?

He then answered with a smile and a nod.

Kakashi: Good job Sasuke. You two Sakura.

Then Naruto realized that he couldn't do anything but sit and watch the entire thing while Sakura and Sasuke did something.

Sasuke: Hey, your not hurt are you?

Naruto didn't like the idea of Sasuke being worried about him since he thought of him as his rival.

Kakashi: Don't move! These ninja have poison in there claws.

Ryu: Now then.

I turned to Tazuna.

Ryu: Mr. Tazuna, you've got a bit of explaining to do.

Tazuna: What are you talking about?

Ryu: Chunin class ninja coming after us? This ain't some C-Rank mission. If anything this is a B-rank or even A-Rank if pushed there.

Ninja: How did you notice our ambush?

Kakashi: A puddle. On a clear day when it hasn't rained for days?

Ninja: That kid stepped on us!

Ryu: Yeah I was mostly doing that for fun.

Tazuna: In that case, why did you leave the Genin to do the fighting?

Ryu: I could have killed both of the without a second thought, but we had to get information on who the target was.

Kakashi: And what they were after.

He then sweat dropped.

Tazuna: Hmm? What are you getting at?

I then gave him a dead serious look.

Ryu: Don't play dumb. Your their target. If you told us that your village didn't have the money we could've came to some sort of agreement, but we won't be lied to.

He then looked down.

Ryu: However.

He then looked back up at me.

Ryu: I'm a reasonable person. I can't just sit by and let an entire land loose it's one hope just like that. If we all agree that we'll help you out then I'll let your lie slide. But if not, as soon as we get to the land of waves, your on your own. So guys, what will it be? I choose to help him.

Sasuke: I choose to help as well.

Sakura: We're genin, the only one off the four of us who can handle this kind of mission is Ryu. We should go back and treat Naruto's wound.

Naruto: Huh?!

Kakashi: Naruto's hand could be a problem. I guess we should go back to the village.

Ryu: Well Naruto I guess his fate is in your hands now.

Naruto then took out one of his kunai and stabbed his hand to drain the poison.

Ryu: 'Okay even I didn't expect that.'

Naruto: Why am I so different?! Why am I always- ugh!!

Sakura: Naruto!!

I then put my hand in front of Sakura signaling her to stop.

Naruto: I worked so hard to get here! Pushing myself until it hurt! Training alone for hours! Anything to get stronger! To reach my dream!

The blood started dripping from his hand.

Naruto: I will never back down, and let someone else rescue me. I will never run away. I will not lose to Sasuke or Ryu.

We both looked at him silently.

Naruto: Upon this wound, I make this pledge. Believe it. Bridge builder, I'll complete this mission, and protect you with this kunai knife. A real ninja never gives up and neither will I! Don't you guys worry about me I'll be fine!

I then cracked a smirk.

Kakashi: Naruto that was really cool how you took the poison out, but if you loose anymore blood, your going to die.

It was pretty silent for a moment before Naruto started shaking.

Kakashi: Good idea to stop the bleeding now. Seriously.

Naruto then started freaking out.

Naruto: NO NO NO!! I'M TO YOUNG FOR IT TO END LIKE THIS!! NO NO NO!!

Ryu: Oh for Gods sake, If you cant handle any pain then why'd you stab yourself?

I then looked at his hand and noticed then wound was practically gone.

Ryu: 'What the?'

Shojo: Since he has the nine tails chakra he can heal faster then a normal person.

Ryu: 'Huh. Kinda like me. But I heal a bit quicker.'

Shojo: A bit quicker?

Ryu: 'Ok more than a bit. Anyway wonder who else their going to send at us.'

Elsewere

A man who wears mist village headband swung a sword to a short mans neck.

???: This time, I'll go personally. And this sword will be the last thing he ever see.
