Ryu POV

It had been a few months since we had returned to Konoha from the land of waves with Haku. She became an official Leaf Genin and she went on missions with Team 7 and I. But there's was one small detail I forgot to mention: since Haku didn't have anywhere to live and there were currently no good apartments to buy, she would be staying with me for a while.

Ryu: *Yawn*

Haku POV

I woke up in bed to see that Ryu was gone again.

Haku: 'He probably went out to train again.' *Yawn* He'll always be like this.

I got out of bed and took a shower, brushed my teeth and my hair, put my cloths on, and tied my headband as I left the house. While I was walking through the village I saw the cutest thing I think I've ever seen.

Haku (Apparently Loves Puppies): Your so cute!!

I then went and grabbed the puppy in a hug.

Haku: Your so precious!

I patted the dog on the head and then let go of it. It walked off with a stick in its mouth.

Haku: 'I hope I see that puppy again.'

Ryu POV

I flashed behind Haku and said hi to her.

Ryu: Hey Haku.

She jumped back back in surprise not knowing I was behind her.

Haku: Stop doing that! Make some sort of sound when you teleport or something!

Ryu: If you want to put some kind of bell on me forget it. You and my team tried and failed remember?

Haku: Yeah I remember. We and ganged up on you and still couldn't manage to so much as touch you.

Flashback

Ryu POV

I was walking around the village when I saw Haku, Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura all talking to each other.

Ryu: Oh hey guys.

They all turned to me with Naruto having a devilish smile.

Naruto: Hey Ryu!

His voice trailed of a for a bit

Ryu: Uh guys, what's going on?

Sakura: We finally made a decision Ryu.

Ryu: What decision?

Sasuke: No more surprises from you anymore.

Ryu: What do you mean?

Haku: Sorry but this is how it has to be.

Ryu: Seriously what are talking ab- Wait a minute.....

I saw a bell in each of their hands.

Ryu: I knew this time would come, and I came prepared!

I flashed off to Ichiraku's.

Ryu: Hey Mr. Ichiraku! Is it okay if I hide in here?!

Mr Ichiraku: Sorry Ryu but they already came here and told me about this. I'm sorry but they got here first.

Ryu: Damnit!

Naruto: WHERE ARE YOU RYU?!

Ryu: YOU'LL NEVER CATCH ME ALIVE!

I flashed off to a different location. I went to Ino's flower shop. By the way I never mentioned this but I go on missions with Team 8 and 10.

Ino: Oh hey Ryu! Here to buy a flower or did you just come to see me?!

Ryu: Sorry no time to explain, I need a place to hide here!

Ino: Is your squad trying to put a bell on you?

Ryu: How did you know?

Ino: They bought me off.

Ryu: For God's sake!

Sakura: JUST LET US PUT A THE BELL ON YOU!!

Ryu: NEVER!!

I flashed off to Hinata's house. I then knocked on the door and waited impatiently. I then saw Hinata open the door.

Hinata: High Ryu...

Ryu: Hinata please I need to hide somewhere in your house for a bit! No time to explain just please!

Hinata: O-Ok. Follow me.

She then took me to a closet.

Ryu: Thanks Hinata, I owe you one.

I then closed the Closet door.

Ryu: *Sniff* Wait a minute, someone else is coming. Don't tell me.

Hinata opened up the door and I saw Sasuke behind her.

Hinata: Sorry Ryu. The got here before you so...

Sasuke: YOUR MINE!

Ryu: HINATA HOW COULD YOU?!!

I then flashed away once again but this time to Shikamaru's place.

Ryu: ... Actually what am I thinking? This place is the biggest trap they must have.

I then flashed of to Asuma.

Asuma: Oh hey Ryu! What brings you here?

Ryu: Don't have time to explain, just need a place to hide!

Asuma: Sorry your team was here first.

Ryu: Why am I not surprised?!

Haku: GET OUT HERE RYU!

Ryu: NO!

I flashed to Kurenai's house and banged on her front door.

Kurenai: Oh hey Ryu why are you here?

Ryu: Need a place to hide fast!

Kurenai: If it's about the bells your team got here first.

Ryu: How did they even get to you?!

I then Saw one of Naruto and Sasuke's clones come out of nowhere and attack me.

Ryu: NOT TODAY!

I drop kicked both of the clones destroying them before flashing away to the valley I always take them to.

Ryu: Ahhh. There's no way they can get me here. Now I can just sit back and-

I then heard a The sound of someone flipping the page of a book. I turned to see Kakashi sitting down.

Kakashi: Yo.

I then took a very deep breath. I then let out an scream that could be heard all the way out here.

I flashed back to all of them with a look that made me look like a madman.

Ryu (Rage breaking): I swear to God you four! If you want to keep trying to get that bell on me, go ahead! But you'll be wasting your, and my day!

Naruto: We'll try this as long as it takes.

My eyes then went into Sharingan.

Ryu: I really didn't want to spend my day this way but it looks like I have no choice!

Shojo: You could just knock them out and be done with it.

Ryu: 'Yeah but that would take way longer then it should.'

Ryu: Here's the deal, I'll give you all 4 hours the get one of those bells on me. If you win, I'll put on as many as you want! If you fail, then you drop this whole bell thing! Got it?!

They all nodded.

Ryu: Good. Go!

We then started.

Time skip to 4 hours passing

They all attacked but couldn't lay and finger on me. With my speed and sharingan I was just to much for them.

Ryu: Times up. You hade a few good tries but you couldn't match up. Now I'll take those bells.

They all handed me the bells and I used a fireball to melt them all.

Ryu: You'd have to get up pretty early to get the drop on me.

Flashback over

Haku: I still don't get how we couldn't even touch you.

Ryu: I'm just to fast. Anyway-

Before I could finish Naruto and What looked like Konohamaru sped past me at Mach speeds.

Ryu: What the hell?

Haku: I think they're running away.

Ryu: Who could they be running fro-

Sakura then ran past me.

Ryu: That answers that. Any way let's check out what's going on. Grab on.

Haku grabbed my shoulder as I threw a kunai with the flying Raijin mark up to a building and we teleported on top of it.

Haku: Still feels different.

Ryu: You'll get used to it.

I then saw Konohamaru bump into a guy with cat ears on his hood standing in front of a girl who seemed to have a large fan on her back.

???: Do you need something?

He then picked up Konohamaru by his scarf.

Naruto: Hey let go of him!

Cat Ears: So, does this hurt punk?

Girl with Fan: Put him down Kankuro. Or you know you'll pay for it later.

Sakura: Hey I'm sorry, the whole thing was my fault.

Naruto: You better take your hands of him right now!

Kankuro: We've got a few minutes before he gets here, let's mess with these punks a little.

Konohamaru: Argh! Let go of me you jerk!

The then began to kick him but it was to weak to actually hurt him.

Kankuro: Your feisty. But not for long.

Naruto: Grr! PUT HIM DOWN!

Naruto then charged at him ready for a fight but I saw Kankuro move his fingers and Naruto went flying back hitting his back on the floor.

Naruto: Ah! What was that?!

Kankuro: Your a leaf Genin too? Looks like your village is full of wimps.

Kankuro: Your annoying, all of you. When I see scrawny wimps like him shooting their mouths off, all I wanna do is break them in half.

Girl with a fan: Ah, fine. I'm not involved in any of this.

Kankuro: First, I'll take care of this squirt then I'll take care of the other one.

I saw him about to punch Konohamaru.

Ryu: I think it's time for me to intervene.

I threw one of my thunder god kunai at him cutting his hand a bit and making him drop Konohamaru.

Kankuro: Ouch! Who threw that?!

I teleported to the kunai and made my presence known. He then turned to me with a scowl on his face.

Kankuro: Are you the one who threw that Kunai?

Ryu: I am. Your a long way from home and way out of your league.

He then threw punch at me but I dodged and grabbed his arm to flip him upside down and held one of my throwing knives to his neck while stepping on his chest.

Ryu: By the way that's Lord 3rds grandson. If you hurt him there would have been some problems with the leaf and sand.

Kankuro: Wait this little brat is-

???: That's enough Kankuro.

I turned to see that the other individual had made their self known. I saw a boy with red hair carrying a a giant gourd of his back. He was standing upside down on a tree branch near Sasuke.

Ryu: Oh hey Sasuke didn't think you'd wait so long to get noticed by anyone other than me.

Sasuke: And your not going to question how long he's been there?

Ryu: Alright I think I've seen enough of this kinda stuff to know what type you three are. Stupid one, pretty one, and the one with weird powers.

Kankuro: What did you say?! My intelligence is at least average!

Temari: Your not to hard on the eyes either.

The redhead then disappeared in a swirl of sand and reappeared near his team.

???: My powers are not that weird. I am sorry for the trouble they might have caused...

The other two then stepped back.

Ryu: Just make sure it doesn't happen again.

I removed my knife from his throat and my foot from his chest and let him get back up.

Redhead: Let's go. We didn't come here to play games...

Kankuro: Right!

Sakura: Hold on! Why are you-

Ryu: Chunin exams Sakura.

Sakura: But how did you know my question?

Haku: It's kind of obvious really. Why else would ninja from of village be here?

Temari: Thanks for explaining that to pinky over there. And we do have permission.

Ryu: And Naruto if your wondering, the Chunin exams are when Genin from different lands gather to take part in a test that allows them to rank up to the next level.

Naruto: Gotcha!

Ryu: By the way I didn't catch your name. I'm mostly doing it for my duck butt haired friend of mine but I'm still curious.

Temari: Hm, you mean me?

Ryu: No I already know yours, I'm talking about the redhead.

Redhead: My name is Gaara of the desert. I'm curious about the two of you too. Also that black haired girl.

Sasuke: I am Sasuke Uchiha.

Haku: I am Haku Yuki.

Ryu: And I, am Ryu Namikaze.

Naruto: Hi there! I bet your dying to know my name right?!

Gaara: I couldn't care less.

Ryu: 'Right in the pride'

They then jumped off.

Ryu: Well guys I'll se you later, I'm off to-

Just then Kakashi appeared using body flicker.

Kakashi: By the way you and Haku have to take the exams as a team, just the two of you.

Ryu: Why Don't you use that more often?

Kakashi: I just forget to use it. Here are the papers.

I then looked at Haku.

Ryu: Guess we're gonna be a team.

Haku: Sounds great.

Kakashi: As for you three meet me at the bridge in the morning at 6.

He then disappeared. I looked at the Konohamaru and Naruto talking about how lame he is compared to Sasuke. I then looked at Sakura with an enraged look on her face.

Ryu: Sasuke, wanna come with us to get a bite to eat?

Sasuke: Don't have anything better to do.

The three of us then walked off leaving those 5 alone with each other.

Haku: Something tells me that this won't end well for Naruto.

Ryu: He's comeback from worst and you know it.

Sasuke: He's way to stubborn to stay down.

We then went off to Ichiraku to eat some Ramen.

It's been 2 days since we encountered Garra and his team. The exams started in another 3 days so Haku and I were training before it started. She was using her Crystal Ice Mirrors and I had my Sharingan activated to see her moves.

Ryu: Fire Style: Blaze Circle!

Like the last time used it against her, I spun my leg in a circle motion and fire shot up to block the needles.

Haku: That move again.

Ryu: You like it? It's one my favorite defensive moves.

Haku: How many Jutsu do you have?

Ryu: How many Ice Mirrors have you summoned at once in your life?

Haku: ... I think over 32.

Ryu: Not even close.

I then saw Kakashi appear out of nowhere.

Ryu: Hey Kakashi.

Kakashi: Yo. I forgot to tell you two that if you make it past the second part of the exams you'll become Chunin even if you don't make it to the finals.

Haku: Does it have something to do with how powerful we are?

Kakashi: Yes it does.

Ryu: So even if you don't get to the end, which we will, we'll still be Chunin at the end because we're already stronger than most Jonin.

Kakashi: Exactly.

Ryu: Sounds easy enough to me.

I then had a chill go up my back. I threw a knife straight behind me going into the forest.

Kakashi: What's wrong?!

Ryu: I could have sworn someone was watching me.

Kakashi: Could it be a fan girl?

Ryu: No I make sure to loose them every day. Guess it might have just been my imagination.

Kakashi: Don't worry it could have just been a squirrel or something.

Out in the distance

A certain Hyuga was watching Ryu. Along with Bushy Browed Ninja, and a weapons master.

???: *whisper* That was to close.

???: *whisper* Could he really have seen us from all the way out here?!

???: *Whisper* He must be a splendid ninja indeed!

???: In case that wasn't a fluke we should just binoculars next time.
