As Zabuza is cutting through the small army of mercenaries hired by Gato, Naruto is thinking over the mission. The fight with the Demon Brothers: Gozu, and Meizu. After that, the first battle with Zabuza.

Zabuza is Naruto's strongest opponent to date, well other than Kakashi during the Bell test. The blonde knew that his Sensei was crazy strong. If their first encounter was anything to go by, Naruto also knew that Zabuza was just as strong.

After Zabuza it was the Hunter-nin, and then Tazuna's family. Which is where Naruto met Inari, and layed it into the boy. Next was his meeting with Haku: the boy who looked prettier than Sakura.

This was the meeting that started this introperspective Naruto. Haku told him that protecting who you thought was precious is how you grow, and get stronger. That struck a chord with the blonde. He did know it yet, but that would be one of his most defining features.

Haku, who was a person he now thought of as precious; dead. How could he be Hokage if he is so weak? How could he have protected Haku?

Anger took over the young Genin, as he shouted at the Demon of the Mist. Berating him on how much Haku cared for him. Naruto only stopped when Zabuza says, "Don't you ever think that I didn't care, Gaki! Now give me a kunai!"

So Naruto does. Zabuza bit away at his mask, and caught the kunai in his mouth. That was what started the bloodbath on the Bridge. Zabuza only stopped when he saw Gato dead, with a slice through the business man's neck.

Zabuza, now lying next to Haku, slowing dying of blood loss, as he sees the snow fall. He asks, "Haku? Are you crying? For me? You were always too kind for me. I hope you are happy wherever you are, because I don't think we are going to the same place. But I can hope, can't I?"

Momochi then looks towards Naruto, and says, "Naruto, you are the one who killed me. I believe that much in my heart. You have killed the Demon of the Mist. Take Kubikiribocho: my sword, and honor Haku, and me. Anyway, here are the coordinates to our base here in Nami. I give you ownership of everything in there. Goodbye." This is when both the Demon, and the Ice Prince died.

Naruto slowly walked towards the huge blade, with his head turned down to the ground. The Uzumaki looks at Kubikiribocho. Kubikiribōchō is a large broadsword, as tall as a full-grown man, shaped like a butcher knife. The blade itself has two cut outs, a circle close to the top and a semi-circular one nearer to the handle, the former of which is aptly fitting the sword's purpose of decapitation. The latter notch allows a strap to be wrapped around the weapon, making it easier for the user to carry. Its extremely long handle is also detachable to further aid transportation and then reattached when required for combat.

The blonde knew what to do. No more thinking had to be done. He will honor Zabuza, and Haku. He will become the Konohagakure no Kijin (Demon of the Hidden Leaves).

Naruto picks up the heavy blade, and lays it against his shoulder. Imitating Zabuza, he spreads his feet apart getting close to the ground. The mercenaries that are still alive are intimidated, as they see Naruto's now crimson slitted eyes shine through his sunshine blonde hair. It also didn't help the mercenaries, for that was the exact moment the villagers came, armed to the teeth. The mercenaries booked it first chance they got, and would hopefully never come back.

When Naruto stood straight, he falls face first onto the bridge. Sakura gasps, as Kakashi bends down, and picks up both the boy, and his humongous sword. The Haruno looks at Naruto for the first time, with some worry in her eyes.

Kakashi sees this, and asks, "Sakura remember when I passed out from using my Sharingan?"

Sakura answers, "Of course I do, Kakashi-sensei, but why are you bringing that up?"

Kakashi replies, "Naruto for the first time ever, has just experienced Chakra Exhaustion."

Sakura asks, "Why is that, Kakashi-sensei?"

Kakashi answers, "His chakra reserves rivals Hokage-sama's reserve. He'd be a perfect Ninjutsu-specialist."

Sakura asks, "What would I be? You know, as a specialist?"

Kakashi answers, "With your low chakra reserves, and stamina. Sakura you also have perfect chakra control. You be perfect as a Genjutsu-specialist, or a Iyro-nin (Medical-nin). Anyway, let's get back to Tazuna's place."

So they go there, but not before burying Zabuza, and Haku up on a nearby cliff.
