In Oto:

Kabuto was running down the hall with several of his Shinobi "How could this happen?" Kabuto shouted

"W-we don't know, sir! One minute he's asleep and the next, he's gone!" replied an Oto-nin as they reached what was left of a large metal door

"He did this, even with the chakra restraints on him,"

"No... no, he doesn't need chakra. He doesn't have chakra! He comes from a time before Chakra, before even man," Kabuto explained, "we need to find him and get him back into containment! Now! There's no telling what he'd do!"

Outside The Village:

'This place looks familiar,' thought a man as he walked around the forest, 'the tree's are smaller... and so are the animals,'. He walked around for a little while until he reached a river. Looking down into the water, he saw a school of salmon swimming and his reflection.

His stomach growled a little and instantly reached for a fish. He grabbed nearly the whole school and set them on the shore. Sitting down, he started to eat them, one by one, 'This is a nice snack,' he thought as he ate a whole fish, 'though I wonder if these get bigger'.

Back in Oto:

Kabuto was leading a group of Oto-nin as they bounded through the trees "Remember, he doesn't have chakra! But he's not a ninja either! Find him and contain him!" Kabuto ordered

"Um, sir?" asked an Oto-nin

"What is it?" Kabuto snapped

"Quick question, what's so important about this man?" the Oto-nin asked, "isn't he just someone we found?"

"Oh, you're wrong... so very, very wrong. He's someone we found encased in a block of salt. And due to me studying him long, I now realize that I was wrong about his age,"

"E-excuse me?"

"Remember the giant salt bed discovered before Orochimaru-sama's death?" Kabuto asked

"Y-yes, sir, I do. But what does that have to do with anything?"

"Well... Orochimaru found two creatures inside of it. We just managed to get one out months ago. But I don't think the other is able to come out," Kabuto said

"B-but why, sir?"

"The two creature in the saline rock was something out of stories. The other creature that was found was in a fight and damaged from it do badly, I don't think we could've revived it," Kabuto explained as he remembered the picture of the giant creature found in the salt rock

"And the other?" the Oto-nin asked

"The other was that man, we've decided to call him Pickle because he was 'pickled' in the salt. The Ancient Man, the missing link... the monster that killed the lizard... the monster that took my arm,"

With Pickle:

Pickle was done eating his snack as he stood up. He crossed the river with ease as he heard a growl. Turning to see what made the noise, he saw a bear. It was lumbering toward him and then it stood on two legs and roared. Compared to Pickle, the man had to look down at it; the bear that stood at 6 foot 7 inches was small when placed next to the 8-foot tall pickle. Pickle just looked at it as the bear lowered itself and slowly backed away. He just watched it as it began to run away 'It's no threat,' Pickle thought as he continued walking, 'where's the people? Where are the giant things that touched the sky like mountains? Where's the doctor?'.

2 Hours Later:

Pickle had been walking, searching for something. That was until he heard "Sasuke-kun, where are we going?" from what sounded like a female

"We're going to the Uchiha Hideout," replied a male voice

"But why?"

"Be quiet and you'll see,"

"But I want to know!"

"Once we get there," the male voice stated as Pickle followed the voices. Soon he stumbled among a bunch of people talking to each other. Sniffing the air, he could smell 3 males and one female. Out of the 3 males, he could tell one was the alpha by the aura he emitted. Looking at them, they all were weird. The alpha had the hair of a ducks butt.

One looked to be old with white hair.

Another seemed strong and large.

Then the female seemed to have something about her, but Pickle couldn't place his finger on it.

They all were talking, of course, he couldn't understand them. They were all just sounds to him, much like a wild animal can't understand human communication. But as he looked at them, the one with white hair said: "Uhh, guys. Not to sound paranoid, but do you feel like something's watching you?"

"There's nothing, Suigetsu, I can't sense a thing," the female said

"Actually, I feel it too. It's almost like... I don't know how to describe it," the large one said

"If Karin says there's nothing, then there's nothing. Now let's go," the leader said as Pickle sensed something coming from him. It was a feeling of an impending battle. Pickle seemed to smile as he decided to follow them.

Hours Later:

The group Pickle had followed started to set-up camp. There was a fire going in the middle of them as Pickle watched from a distance. He was in a bush as he watched them talk "So let me get this straight; a crow came flying by, giving you a message, you read it and it from your brother, who we've been trying to find for YEARS now mind you, and is challenging you to the death? Did I miss something?" Suigetsu asked

"That's it," Sasuke replied

"Well let's get some sleep. It won't do us any good to think about it now, we just ate and I'm tired," Jugo stated

"Great I could use my beauty sleep," Karin said as she stretched

"And we're got leftovers, so lunch won't be a problem,"

"Alright," Sasuke said as he started to go to sleep.

30 Minutes Later:

Everyone was asleep as Pickle got up from his hiding spot and walked into camp. He looked down at everyone as he started to sniff around. Looking down at the fire, the coals were still warm and the food inside a black pot was too. Inside the pot was a venison stew. His stomach growled as he shook his head 'I can't take away someone else's prey,' he thought as he walked out of the camp. Not before he looked down at Karin. He sniffed her with interest as he walked out 'Congratulations,' he thought as he went out in search of food.
