Chapter Three
Chapter Three
The next morning...
The girls were all sat at the bench table they introduced themselves to Kireina at. They all had bags under their eyes and looked tired. None of them could stop yawning and a couple of them had fallen asleep with their heads on the table. Kireina walked through the field to find all the girls asleep. She had a smile resting on her lips. They all looked sweet and innocent when sleeping. Kireina pulled out a whistle from under her shirt and blew it, making all the girls jump up at the sudden noise.
"Good morning sunshine's. Line up." She ordered with a bright smile. All the girls groaned as they lazily got up and walked to Kireina while standing in a line. The girls all slouched as they stood in front of her with tired eyes. They looked like they had the life sucked out of them. Sweat ran down Kireina's face. "I almost feel bad for them." The young woman thought as she noticed how tired the girls all looked. Kireina placed the whistle back under her shirt and placed a hand on her hip while looking at them. "Your test today is to defeat me." Kireina explained, making all the girls to scream 'What' with their jaws hitting the ground.
"Y-you're an ex-anbu leader! How are we, five girls who have just become genin, supposed to defeat you?!" Shigemi exclaimed with wide eyes. Kireina smiled at the girls.
"I plan to hold back, don't worry. I won't be using any of my special techniques against you all. I only plan to use simple defence jutsu's and shadow clone jutsu. All you have to do is stop me by trapping me somehow. You have until two. Good luck." Kireina explained as she placed her hands together. Spoke surrounded her and once it disappeared, she was gone. All the girls groaned as they fell to their knees.
"This sucks. I'm exhausted!" Shigemi exclaimed as she punched the ground. "Last night every time I went to sleep water hit me." Shigemi cried as she hit her head on the ground. The rest of the girls sighed.
"I would have loved water. Every time I blew my candles out, they kept relighting somehow." Setsuka explained with a sigh escaping her lips as she hugged Yuuki.
"Something kept hitting my window last night and every time I went to see what it was nothing was there." Saske explained as she looked down with her tired Hyūga eyes.
"I kept hearing something at my window last night too, but my uncle, aunt and Shikamaru couldn't hear it." Sachi explained with a sigh escaping her lips.
"I kept hearing a dog outside my window but whenever I opened my window barking would stop. My aunt and cousins couldn't hear it so I thought I was imagining things." Shizuma explained as she hugged Ōkami, who barked in response. The girls then all sighed again, but then Sachi stood up with her hands on her hips.
"Alright stand up. We need to beat Kireina-Sensei before two or we will be sent back to the academy!" Sachi exclaimed, making all the girls stand up. "We need to make a plan. Now gather around." Sachi ordered. The girls all made a circle and began to discuss what they were going to do to catch Kireina.
Kireina watched them from a far distance, hiding behind a tree. She smiled as she leaned against it. It reminded her of her academy days...
"Come on Kire~!" Rin called out to a young Kireina who sat on a tree branch. Kireina had shorter hair at the time, however it was still the messy hair she has now. She had it in two low pony tails, wore a black top with sleeves that rested under her shoulders, a purple skirt with a brown belt and black open-toe boots.
"No!" Kireina said stubbornly as she folded her arms and closed her eyes with a huff. Rin was trying to get Kireina to join her, Obito and their friends from the academy in a game. Kireina didn't see the point of playing as she believed it was pointless and a waste of energy.
"Kakashi will be there." Obito said. Kireina went stiff as a blush appeared on her pale cheeks. Rin looked at Obito in confusion. Why would he mention Kakashi?
"Hey! I told you out of trust! Don't you dare go running your mouth!" Kireina exclaimed with a vein popping out as she waved her fist around. Rin gasped as she covered her mouth. Kireina had a crush on Kakashi!
"Come with us and we won't tell anyone~!"
"Evil!"
"What are you all arguing about now?"
"Kakashi!" Kireina looked down at Kakashi who raised an eyebrow with his hand on his hip.
"Everyone is getting impatient. You coming or not?" Kakashi asked as he looked at Kireina. Kireina huffed as she looked away with a pout.
"Why would I play a childish game like that? It's pointless!" Kakashi let out a sigh. He climbed up the tree Kireina was in without her noticing. When under the branch he pulled Kireina down and threw her over his shoulder. "H-huh? Kakashi my skirt you idiot!" Kireina exclaimed as she pulled her skirt down at the back. Kakashi jumped down and walked pass Rin and Obito.
"Let's go."
"Bakashi! Baka! Baka! Baka!"
"Yeah yeah."
...
"Alright, everyone know the plan?" Asuma asked as he huddled in a small group. Kireina watched from the sidelines as she still didn't want to play with everyone. She frowned as she saw everyone taking their game seriously. It was just a children game. They're ninja; they should be going out on missions and training, not playing stupid children games.
"Sigh... I regret not playing with them that day... I never thought that would be one of the last times we would all be together..." Kireina looked up and went wide eyed. The girls were all gone. She looked around and then suddenly jumped back as two kunai's were thrown at her. Kireina pulled out a kunai and deflected two more. Kireina then ran out of the trees as a shadow followed her. Kireina stopped when the shadow began to go back. She turned around and saw Sachi standing there with an awkward smile.
Kireina's eyes then went wide. She jumped out of the way as Shigemi punched the ground where she was. Shigemi then ran after the woman with chakra around her hands. Kireina managed to dodge the attacks Shigemi gave and sweat ran down Kireina's face.
"Her chakra... That's not the normal chakra blue. That's a blue that matches the sea." Kireina thought as she kicked Shigemi in the stomach and jumped back. Shigemi was about to fall but then Setsuka appeared behind her. Setsuka jumped up when Shigemi did a hand sign. Water came out of Shigemi's mouth and a fire ball came out of Setsuka's. The two collided and a mist surrounded Kireina. Kireina jumped back but the mist seemed to have covered the entire area within seconds. Kireina kept her guard up as she closed her eyes to try and focus on the girl's chakra. "Lord Third... You'll have come explaining to do for me later..." Kireina thought as she opened her eyes and ducked backwards. She looked up and saw Sachi jumping above her with a kunai. Sachi gulped as she landed on her hands and did a roll.
Kireina stood up straight and then began to block attacks given by Saske who was using her Byuakugan. Saske attempted to hit Kireina's chakra points; however Kireina managed to deflect her attacks by pushing her hands away. Saske suddenly bent down and Shigemi appeared above her with her hand on Saske's back. Shigemi began to attempt to hit Kireina, but she blocked her attacks. Both Saske and Shigemi attacked Kireina, both in sync with each other's movements. When Saske went to hit a lower chakra point Shigemi went to attack Kireina from above. Though the two skilfully fought against Kireina, Kireina managed to keep the two from hitting her, making both girls begin to feel frustrated.
Kireina's eyes went wide all of a sudden. She couldn't move her body as she felt paralysed. Sweat ran down her face as she recognised the jutsu being used on her. She bit her lip, feeling nervous as she could see Shigemi, Saske, Setsuka, Shizuma and Ōkami stood in front of her. A small smile formed on Kireina's lips as she suddenly disappeared in a poof of smoke.
"Gah! I had her!" Sachi exclaimed with her hands on her hips as she stood in the spot behind the area Kireina was stood. She was using her shadow possession technique to keep Kireina still. All of a sudden a shadow covered Sachi, making her go stiff as she saw her friends all wore pale expressions. Sachi slowly turned her head and her entire face turned pale with lines appearing under her left eye.
Kireina was stood there with an intense aura surrounding her. The girls all shook in their spots. Sachi slowly backed away from Kireina, who had a smug look on her face. She suddenly then began to laugh as the intense aura that surrounded her disappeared. The girls watched their new sensei in confusion as she laughed with tears falling down her face. Kireina held her stomach as she fell to her knees while laughing.
"Er... Sensei?" Setsuka questioned worriedly as all the girls slowly approached the female cautiously. Kireina continued to laugh for another minute as she held her stomach tightly with her eyes closed. After finally calming down, she opened her eyes and looked at the girls with a soft smile.
"That was good team work. You would have gotten me if it wasn't for my back up plan." Kireina stated as she rose from her spot, making the girls all have a question mark leave their heads.
"A back up plan...?"
"Yes, a backup plan. I always have one to escape in tough situations. I never thought I would have to use it today, meaning you all passed my little test." The girls all stared at their sensei in disbelief, mouths open and eyes wide. Kireina folded her arms and looked at the girls who all had sparkles in their eyes. They then all suddenly hugged Kireina, thanking her with tears running down their faces. Kireina laughed awkwardly as she slowly the girls on their heads gently. "Now, since you passed, how about I get you lunch huh? My treat." Kireina smiled down at the five girls.
Later that day...
Kireina walked through the Hokage building, eventually reaching the Hokage office. She knocked on the door and waited for the Hokage to speak. After hearing no response, she knocked again, louder this time. This time she heard the Hokage say "enter". She opened the door and walked through, closing the door behind her before facing the male sitting behind his desk.
"Yes Kireina? What can I do for you?" The Hokage asked as he continued to write on documents. Kireina frowned as the male did not look up at her once in the minute of silence they had. Kireina folded her arms as she looked at the male with a frown.
"These girls don't have normal chakra. I want you to explain who they are or what they are. Now." Kireina ordered in a demanding tone. The Hokage stopped writing and looked up, a smile forming on his face as he looked at the female who had determination for answers burning in her eyes.
"So you've realised they're not normal. Sit down and I'll explain everything to you."
