Naruto: Suck to the Future
Chapter 2

Hinata-nee-san and I entered the village. It was Konoha, alright. There was the Konoha's gate and Konoha's style building structure. But as I look at the village, I know that this Konoha was different.

"Nee-san, is this Konoha?" She looked at me and smiled. "Yea, Menma-kun, this is Konoha"

So it was official. This place really was Konoha. But, why was it a lot different. It had only been a year since Ero-sannin and I started our trip. No way Konoha could changed so much in such a short amount of time. This Konoha was inside this big round hole. And there were buildings, inside and outside the very large hole. Not only that, none of the buildings I was even familiarize with, even if the structure were alike. The buildings all look, how do I say, new and more modern. It was all different from the Konoha that I knew.

And also, this weird yet beautiful lady. She said her name was Hinata. And she was a Hyuuga. I only knew one Hyuuga with the name Hinata. And she was not a 20 years-old. She was 13, like me. So, how come?

Arrgghh, so confusing!

As Hinata was saying her greeting to the two guards in-post, a question caught my attention. "Ne, Hinata-sama, who is this?". '-sama? Is this nee-san an important person?' "I'm Uzunaga Menma. Nice to meet you!" I greeted grinning widely. "Haha, what a lively child, I'm Kotetsu and this guy" he pointed to his right, "is Ikumo."

No way! Kotetsu and Ikumo! They looked the same. But, but, older. A lot older. How?

Maybe I had an idiot-like expression on my face that made the two of them grinned at me an ruffling my hair in a playful manner.

"Welcome to Konoha, Menma-kun,"

I looked around the village. And to my shock. I could see ninjas from other nations. Suna, Mizu, even Kumo and Iwa. And they were civil. Like, they were never had been a dispute between them.

After looking around in shock and fascination, something caught my eyes. Something on the wall of the large hole that contained the village. The Hokage faces. It had six. SIX! How come? The last I knew, not even Taunade baa-chan's face had been sculpted. Now, there's a sixth? And whose face was it? It was Kakashi-sensei!

"Nee-san, what's that?" I played dumb. But inside, I was becoming more and more panicked. Hinata nee-san gave me a questioning face and I pointed to the Hokage faces. "Ah, that was the faces of the leader of our village. They are called the Hokage. The first Hokage, was Senju Hashirama." She pointed to the most left side of the faces, then moved it to the next face on the right and so on. "Senju Tobirama, the Second. Sarutobi Hiruzen as the Third. Namikaze Minato, the Fourth. The Fifth Senju Tsunade. And the leader of this village right now was the Sixth, Hatake Kakashi."

I was speechless. This was impossible! This place was Konoha but it looked all new. Different. All of the ninja whichever nations they come, was very civilized, even friendly towards each other. This Hinata was 20. And there was six faces. It was too much. I was not that stupid, but I think I have an idea about where I am. Or more like, in what timeline I am right now. I just need to confirm it.

"Nee-san, could you tell me what date is today?"

"Menma? Slow down, you could eat all the ramen you want. I'll paid," giggled Hinata.

"Sorry, nee-san, but I was so hungry and I love ramen. It's the best food in the world!" I grinned then continued to eat my ramen more slowly.

"You love ramen too? Someone I know love it too, he ate maybe more than you do" smiled Hinata softly.

"Who?" I asked, curious. As she was about to tell me, someone interrupted her. It was Ayame nee-chan. Teuchi and her look older but their ramen was still the same, delicious.

"Hinata! When did you get back? You know, we miss you! Especially him! he always whined about you. Saying when are you going to be back?, I'm so lonely or I missed Hinata, so much. Argh, that guy was so annoying, he won't leave us alone. But he was so sweet he never shut up about you!" babbled Ayame nee-chan then smiled at the end. Hinata now had this cute blush on her cheeks.

"Is it the same guy that Kotetsu-san mentioned just now, nee-san? I asked curiously, wanting to know the guy that the future Hinata date.

"Oh? What did Kotetsu mentioned about him?" asked Ayame nee-chan, amused. "He said and I quote, "he had been asking for your return."" I said. "So sweet!" Ayame nee-chan exclaimed and Hinata's blush darken.

As I was about to ask who the guy was, Ayame nee-chan was quicker. She asked about me. Gone was my chance to ask about the guy, again.

I was wondering.

If I was on the future, then could I met the me of the future? Are the future me handsome? Taller? Stronger? Powerful? Are the future me...

Wait.

The future me was still alive, right? No way he had died.

...

Right?

God, now I'm scared. Please let me still be alive. I beg you.

'Hinata nee-san' and I were now at the hospital. Why you ask? To check me up. Hinata said that she wanted to see if I had any injuries and to see if something can help with my memory loss. Or things like that. She also said that it was for safety.

"Hinata-sama, welcome. What can we do for you?" ask the administrator in the front. Again with '-sama'. Why did people called her with '-sama'?

"Well, I need to check this boy up. Could you get me doctor Sakura if it can be helped?" asked Hinata kindly.

"Of course Hinata-sama."

'Sakura? As in Haruno Sakura?'

As the administrator replied Hinata, she was doing something in the computer. Maybe scheduling something. After a while, the administrator was back to faced Hinata. "Right. Hinata-sama, Haruno sensei will be able to meet up with you at 3. Room 317."

'Haruno.. so it's true! Sakura became a doctor! Or medic nin, I mean. Who would have thought'

"Thank you, Miira-san."

"Pleasure all mine, Hinata-sama."

'Yesss, I got to meet the future Sakura. I wonder how she is doing? Hmm...' I was still on my taught when Hinata snapped me out of it.

"Menma-kun, what do you want to do for..." Hinata looked at the clock on the wall then turned back, "more than an hour. Any ideas?"

"Umm..." I didn't know. What do you do when you were taken to the future? "How about a tour around Konoha, nee-san?"

"Okay," Hinata smiled that angelic smile.

Wait. What? Angelic?

'Wow. Konoha sure changes a lot.

But how is that possible. I mean the large hole and all of those completely new buildings. It's like... It's like Konoha had been demolished before...

Haha... No way. Right?'

We were walking around Konoha's park, which were way bigger and better than before, when I finally met up with someone. A comrade. One of Konoha 12. Guess who?

Shino.

And I remembered his name!

"Hinata." Greeted Shino. "When did you came back?"

"Shino-kun. Just a few hours ago."

"I see. Then you better search for him. Why? He had been worried. How do I know? Because he interrupted Kiba and mine's training to ask about you. He..." as Shino still wanted to continued, Hinata cut him.

"Sorry, Shino-kun. But I have to meet Sakura-san at the hospital to check Menma-kun. I'll search for him after that."

While Hinata and the 'future Shino' was still conversing, 'Menma' was in deep fascination. Why? He finally got to see Shino's mouth. And it's normal!

'I wonder if I could see Kakashi's too'

Shino sure didn't change. He still covered most of his body. He got this long big coat and weird eyeglasses?

"When will you start teaching at the academy, Shino-kun?"

"It would be in 5 months. Why? Because..."
Shino was about to continued when he was cut. By me.

"What???" I was shocked. Shino's teaching! In the academy! My jaw dropped.

"What is it, Menma-kun?" asked Hinata worried. I turned to faced Hinata, speechless. The only taught in my mind was still 'Shino's teaching'.

Shino's teaching. He's going to be a teacher!

"Right. Hinata, shouldn't this Menma-san meet with the Hokage first? Why? To see if he is any harm towards the village. Why? Even though war is over. It doesn't mean that..." Shino was cut, again.

"War?"

At my question, both Hinata and Shino turned to face me. With unreadable faces.
"Yes, war. Menma-kun, the Fourth Shinobi War. Don't you know?" asked Hinata.

'Fourth Shinobi War'

My eyes went wide and I think I turned a little pale. "H-How...?" I muttered. "What? Speak louder, Menma-kun" said Hinata while taking some of her hair to the back of her right ear.

"What happened?" I exclaimed, which made both Hinata's and I think Shino's too, brows up in question. And it made me looks stupid. I mean, this is a war. A Fourth Shinobi War. It was supposed to be big and all people probably knew about it.

'Don't let your cover out, Naruto'

"Nee-san, isn't it time for my check up?" Right. Change the topic.

Hinata stared at me for a moment, then finally take a look at Shino's watch and answer me. "You're right, Menma-kun."

"Sorry, Shino-kun. But I have to meet Sakura-San now." Hinata and Shino then say goodbye to each other and part ways.

"Let's go Menma-kun." said Hinata facing me. "Lead the way, nee-san!" I said enthusiacally, glad to not let my cover blowed up.

We went to the hospital and to the room where 'Sakura' was in. Hinata knocked at first, and second. But Sakura did not replied. Curious, I went ahead to open the door, which were unlocked, and saw something.

Something unthinkable.

Something unimaginable.

Something way too shocking.

Something...impossible; and that is...

Sakura and Sasuke kissing.
