Chapter 10

(Kiyomi's POV)

"And that's how I ended up in that ramen shop."

I continue to walk after, finishing explaining to my Godfather Jiraya how terrible the last twelve years of my life have been. I begin to contemplate would I be a different person had I not left the village? Would I be weaker than I am today?

"Jiraya?" I ask, noticing he had stopped walking behind me.

Jiraya's head hung low towards the ground. I couldn't see his face but his chakra was wavering. His emotions were hard to detect. I walk towards him and place my hand on his arm.

"Hey, don't worry. I'm okay now. Y-

Jiraya pulls me into a comforting embrace and just holds me. Tears begin to swell in my eyes. This was the first comforting embrace I felt in years. Jiraya reminds me that I don't have to pretend to be okay in front of him.

"Enough, now I should be saving these tears for my parents. I don't want my eyes to be puffy from all this crying." I say, pulling my face from Jiraya's neck. Jiraya's eyes hold sadness but I thought it was only because of my story.

"Lady Kiyomi. Your parents.... died, years ago."

After Jiraya spoke, I felt my heart begin to bump vivaciously. In seconds I couldn't talk because It felt as if my heart made it to my throat. Dead? No, there's no way. My father was the Hokage. He was one of the strongest men in our village.

"No, Jiraya, that's not possible. Both of them are dead? No!" I tried to break from our embrace, but Jiraya only held me tighter. His actions only confirmed his words in my mind. My parents were dead. The last time I saw my parents was when I was six. I stopped putting up a fight and let all my emotions surface. I sobbed in his arms and didn't care who heard or saw.

"Jiraya, I can't do this. I need to be with my parents. I'm all alone yet again."

"As of right now, I'm here for you and always will be. There are so many people back home awaiting your arrival."

Jiraya finally lets go of me and reminds me that we need to start heading towards the village before it gets dark. I nod, in agreement and wipe away any remaining tears I had on my face.

"Jiraya, How long ago was it when my parents died?"

"I find out a little later than I should've, but I believe they been dead for at least twelve years now."

Twelve years? I've been gone for twelve years. Did they die the night I left? The mission must've been a failure then. That would explain when I escaped, I couldn't trace my father's print location.

"Jiraya, the last time, I saw my parents, they told me they had an important mission to carry out that night. Did they die during that mission?"

"Look princess, I will walk you to the Hokage building myself where the Third Hokage will answer any question that beautiful brain of yours thinks of. How's that sound?"

"Fine. Just don't call me princess Kiyomi. It annoyed me then, and it will infuriate me now." I answer with a pouted lip.

"You got it Kiyomi! There's a grand load of people waiting to see ya!" Jiraya says, pulling my arm dashing through the town.

~~~
"Kiyomi...Kiyomi. Wake up, look where we are."
I open my eyes and notice I'm on Jiraya's back. When did I fall asleep? I tell Jiraya he can put me down now. He obliges, and I look around and notice the abundant amount of trees. One thing the sand village lacked was trees.
"You inherited your father's speed, yet you lack his stamina. Out of nowhere, you fell from all the walking we did. So I decided to carry you the rest of the way."
"Thanks. What good is a gift if you don't perfect it, right?" I respond shyly.
I look forward and see the big beautiful green trees begin to separate and in the middle was the gate to my home. The big green gates I always admired were surprisingly closed. Every time I visited the gates as a child, they were open. As we got closer, I realized how big it was to me when I was six now, that I'm 18, it looks a lot smaller.
"You promised a grand load of people is expecting my arrival?"
Jiraya turns to me and places his hand on the gate, causing the door to absorb some type of seal from Jiraiya's palm. "I never go back on my word, especially for the people I care for Kiyomi."
Jiraya backs away from the door and I follow. The door opens and there was a grand load of people waiting for my arrival.
"Welcome home, Princess Kiyomi! Welcome home, Princess Kiyomi!"
There were adults, teenagers, and kids holding my picture and cheering. I look to Jiraya feeling slightly overwhelmed yet loved. He puts his arm over my shoulder and guides me through the crowd.
"Alright, Everyone it's been a long trip here. Kiyomi feels o-
"Thank you, everyone, truly it's been a long time! I promise to continue to uphold the great image you all hold of me!"
The crowd continues to cheer and clap as I head deeper into the village. I finally reach the end of the last set of people at the end of the crowd.
"Princess Kiyomi, Do you remember me?" A tall man asks near the end of the crowd.
I stare for a moment not being able to recognize the man in front of me. He notices and takes his hat out of his white robe and places it on top of his head. Instantly my memories recognize him.
"Teuchi!" I scream embracing the older man. He rubs my back and chuckles. I ask him about his daughter and he explains her absence.
"Yes. Ayame is not here because she thought it was a rumor."
"A rumor does she know how much that messenger bird cost me!" Jiraya responds showing his empty wallet. We both chuckled at his response.
"Please today or once you're settled in. Come stop by Ayame has missed you dearly." I remind him the feeling is mutual, and he waves us goodbye heading back to his shop.
"Now, Kiyomi we must head to the Hokage office."
Excitement takes over me, and I put up a hand sign ready to go.
"Hey! Don't you dare flash k-
"Last one to the Hokage building is an old man!" I shout flashing to the hokage building.
In seconds I was standing in front of a brand new building. It looks remodeled. It looks great though. I head straight into the building wanting to have ever question of mine answered.
"Honorable grandson! Please stay right here and don't move while I use the bathroom!"
I watch as a slender man yells at a brown haired child. That voice sounds familiar.
"Yeah, Whatever!" The child retorts back at the slender man. The man heads into the restroom not looking back.
Okay, Kiyomi focus. If I recall correctly the office would be on the second to top floor. Once I identify the floor I head straight for that floor only to run into something.
"Damn it" I curse to myself gripping my knee which stings.
"Hey! Watch where your going lady!"
The audacity for this kid to speak to me that way. Did his parents not teach him proper manners.
"Who the hell are you talking! Don't you know better to talk like that to someone twice your age!" I scold him grabbing him by his hair. He squirms under my grasp and finally I decide to let him go.
"How dare you pull my hair! My grandpa's the third hokage!"
I release a dark chuckle and look the little brat in his eyes. I watch him shiver under my glare fully aware that my eyes probably darken, causing him to get nervous.
"What do I care, My father is the Fourth Hokage. This make me his daughter now step aside squirt when it comes to family lineage your not that special."
I continue on my journey running for the hokage door. I finally find the door and I put my ear to the door before opening it.
"We can't accept this photo Naruto, take it again." I identify that voice as Lord Third.
"What!? No way! I'm not taking the photo again!" An unfamiliar voice shouts. I hear some type of jutsu being performed so I immediately reacting thinking the Lord Third was in danger.
I open the door to see Lord Third wiping his bloody nose and a yellow haired boy blushing in his seat. They both look in my direction and I just froze.
"Princess Kiyomi, You're finally home huh?" I nod my head and walk over to him embracing him. I jokingly remind him that when I last saw him he had brown hair compared to his white facial hair. He tells me he aged well and reminds me that I have become even more beautiful than he last saw me.
"I thought I'd never get to live to complete your parents wishes." I break from our hug and look at Lord Third with a sad smile.
"Well I'm here now Lord Third. I have so many questions to ask. Who killed my parents? I want their names and locations!" I shout determined. No one who can kill such innocent people like my parents should continue to breath as long as I'm alive.
I hear the door open and a tired Jiraya falls into the room. "Kiyomi!" Jiraya Yells.
Damn I forgot about him. He lost so that makes him the old man I chuckle to myself. Jiraya walks over to me and hits me on the head scolding me for using my speed against him. I apologize and he apologizes to to Lord third wanting to walk in her with me at the same time.
"Hello, Old man Hokage!"
I feel my blood beginning to boil again. What is it with these kids not having proper manners when speaking to adults.
"Ah, Sorry Naruto. I must ask that you take this photo again its for ninja missions."
"You look like a clown!" I burst into laughter seeing Naruto's photo. He had white and red paint all over his skin. This is what he thought was approvable for his ninja Id. What a lost boy. I watch the boy stand up in anger and begin to point at me.
"Hey! Mind your own business!
"Or, What!" I ask back with attitude. He begins to stutter trying to think of something else rude to say. Before he could respond that other brat's voice shouts again.
"Old man! I challenge you!" The brown hair says running towards use with a shuriken. Before I could react he trips over his scarf. He glares at me but then turns to naruto and blames him.
I watch as naruto grabs him by the neck and they both begin to shout at each other. The boy brings up the fact that he's the grandson of Lord Third again and naruto in return hits him in the back of the head not caring at all. That naruto kid is bold. I like that.
"When are you going to realize having Kage relatives is not always something to brag about. You'll never make friends if you use the hokage card every time you meet someone. I bet you feel invisible don't you?"
I know that feeling of being overlooked and just having your parent's title be a burden to your character. The boy looks at me as if I hit a nerve and I knew I did. He rolls his eyes and looks back at the ground.
"Princess Kiyomi!" That familiar voice shouts. The slender man with dark circular glasses enters the room taking in everything that going on but only reacts to my presence.
"Ebisu, I leave konohamaru in your care and he's doing this with his free time" Lord third says
That's who he is Ebisu. He's one of the few older boys who created a fan club for me. He's simply nothing but a pervert. I wish I didn't recognize him. Ebisu ignore the Lord third's statement and walks over to me. He pushes his glasses up the bridge of his nose.
"My Princess Kiyomi you have developed well in all the right areas."
"I know right! Last time I saw her she was flat as a board." Jiraya and Ebisu chuckle together talking about my boobs. I feel a vein in my forehead begin to pop at their pervy ways.
"Enough! Naruto retake this photo. Ebisu konohamaru out. Princess Kiyomi I will answer all the questions you have but you must go with the analysis team to be evaluated. Jiraya I must have a word with you in private." Lord Third speaks and we all do exactly what he says.
I was the last one out of the door. I look back and wave at jiraya and he responds with a smile. Why does he Lord Third want to speak with Jiraya anyway?
"Welcome home, Princess Kiyomi, If you can please come with use for evaluation we'd appreciate it." I nod and follow the analysis team into a room.
