Chapter 3: Hidden Secrets Unveiled
As the Dimension Princess raised her hand once more, the shimmering projection screen flickered to life again. This time, it would reveal secrets from the past—truths that had been hidden away, now brought to light for all to see.
The screen displayed a scene from the past, showing the Hokage's office and the neglected state of baby Naruto. The characters watched intently as the scene unfolded, revealing Kurama stepping in to care for the infant.
Kurama, in his hybrid human form, cradled a tiny, crying Naruto in his arms. The baby's wails quieted as Kurama gently rocked him, whispering soothing words. "There, there, little kit," he murmured, his voice a deep rumble filled with unexpected tenderness. "You're safe with me."
The scene shifted to show baby Naruto, chubby and bright-eyed, reaching up to touch Kurama's face. His tiny hands patted Kurama's cheeks as he babbled happily. "Mama," he cooed, unable to pronounce Kurama's name. Kurama chuckled softly; his eyes filled with affection. "Not quite, little kit, but close enough."
Naruto's eyes widened in shock and confusion. "Kurama... you took care of me?"
Kurama stepped forward, his human form with fox ears and nine tails dressed in a traditional kimono. "Yes, Naruto. When the Fifth Hokage failed to care for you, I couldn't stand by and watch."
Sasuke's expression was one of surprise. "A tailed beast... showing such care?"
Sakura looked at Kurama with newfound respect. "You protected him all this time."
Hinata's eyes softened. "Thank you, Kurama."
Minato and Kushina watched with mixed emotions. Minato spoke first, "We entrusted him to the village, but it was you who truly protected him."
Kakashi's visible eye showed admiration. "You've always been there for him, Kurama."
Gaara nodded thoughtfully. "A bond forged in adversity."
The scene shifted to show Kurama in his hybrid form, caring for baby Naruto—feeding him, keeping him warm, and even playing with him. The deep bond between them was evident in every gesture.
Naruto's voice was filled with emotion. "I always felt like someone was watching over me... I just didn't know it was you."
Kurama smiled gently. "You've always been like a son to me, Naruto."
Sasuke's gaze softened as he watched the scenes. "It explains so much about your strength and resilience."
Sakura's eyes were misty. "You were never truly alone, Naruto."
Hinata placed a hand on Naruto's shoulder. "You had someone who cared deeply for you."
Kurama stood tall in his hybrid human form, a regal figure with long, flowing hair, fox ears, and nine tails. His kimono was richly decorated with traditional patterns, enhancing his majestic appearance. He moved with a grace that belied his immense power, his eyes filled with wisdom and compassion.
The screen changed to show other moments from the past, revealing secrets that had been hidden away. Each revelation was met with a mix of surprise, relief, and sometimes pain.
The screen displayed moments when Mikoto and Fugaku secretly watched over Itachi and Sasuke, even after death.
Itachi's eyes softened. "You never stopped caring." Sasuke's expression mirrored his brother's. "You were always with us."
Mikoto smiled gently. "We could never leave you." Fugaku nodded. "We've always been proud of you both."
The screen displayed a scene from the past, showing a young Deidara in Iwagakure. The village was under attack, chaos erupting all around. Explosions rocked the area as enemy forces advanced, and amidst the turmoil, a small, terrified Deidara, about 8 years old, could be seen trying to escape the destruction.
Deidara's eyes widened as he watched the scene unfold. "This...this was when I was a child."
Obito's eyes narrowed, his expression unreadable. "I remember this."
The projection zoomed in on young Deidara, who was cornered by an enemy ninja. Just as the attacker was about to strike, a swirling vortex appeared, and a masked figure emerged—Obito Uchiha, who was about 20 years old at the time, using his Kamui ability.
Obito swiftly neutralized the enemy ninja, saving young Deidara. He knelt down, offering the frightened boy a reassuring smile. "You're safe now," he said gently, his voice calm and soothing. "Stay close to me, and I'll protect you."
Little Deidara, clutching a piece of clay in his small hands, looked up at Obito with wide, trusting eyes. "Thank you," he whispered, his voice trembling with fear and relief.
Deidara's voice was soft, filled with emotion. "I...I had forgotten about this. You saved me that day."
Obito nodded, his gaze still fixed on the screen. "I was there by chance, but I couldn't leave you behind."
Sasuke's expression was contemplative. "A chance encounter that shaped both your lives."
Naruto's eyes softened. "Even back then, you had a heart, Obito."
Sakura looked at Obito with a mixture of surprise and respect. "You were a hero to him, even if it was just for a moment."
Kakashi nodded thoughtfully. "It's moments like these that define us, even if we don't realize it at the time."
Deidara turned to Obito, his eyes shimmering with a newfound understanding and emotion. "I never realized it was you. Thank you for saving me, even if our paths led us to different places."
Obito gently placed a hand on Deidara's shoulder, his touch lingering. "We all have our reasons and our paths," he murmured, his voice soft and filled with warmth. "But I'm glad our paths crossed, even if just for a moment."
The screen flickered once more, showing a dark, secretive hideout where Deidara and Tobi were having a private conversation. The air was tense, and the weight of unspoken truths lingered between them.
Deidara's eyes narrowed as he watched the scene. "This was the day everything changed."
Obito remained silent, his expression unreadable.
In the projection, Tobi stood before Deidara, his usual playful demeanor replaced by a rare seriousness. He slowly removed his mask, revealing his true face—Obito Uchiha.
Deidara stepped back, shock evident on his face. "You... you're not Madara. You're...?"
Obito nodded, his gaze steady. "Yes, Deidara. I am Obito Uchiha. The mask was necessary for our plans, but I trust you deserve the truth."
Deidara's eyes were wide with surprise and a mix of emotions. "All this time... you were hiding behind that mask."
Obito's expression softened as he looked at Deidara. "It was never my intention to deceive you, but there were things that needed to be done."
Deidara took a deep breath, his heart pounding. "Since we're sharing truths, there's something you should know about me too, Obito." He paused, looking down for a moment before meeting Obito's gaze again. "I was born female. I transitioned because this is who I am. I wanted to be true to myself, even if it meant hiding part of who I was."
Obito stepped closer, his eyes filled with understanding and respect. "Thank you for trusting me with your truth, Deidara." He gently placed a hand on Deidara's shoulder, his touch comforting. "Your strength, your art, everything about you is incredible, just the way you are."
Deidara looked into Obito's eyes, seeing the genuine affection and acceptance there. "Obito, I..." he started, his voice trembling with emotion. "I've grown to care for you, more than I ever thought possible."
Obito's hand moved to cup Deidara's cheek, his thumb gently brushing away a tear. "I feel the same, Deidara. I've always admired your spirit and passion." Slowly, he leaned in, their lips meeting in a tender, heartfelt kiss.
Naruto watched with a soft smile. "Even in the darkest times, love finds a way."
Sakura's eyes filled with tears of happiness. "They found each other despite everything."
Kakashi nodded, his expression one of deep respect. "True strength lies in vulnerability and love."
The screen flickered once more, showing a moment just before everyone was teleported to the theater. Itachi Uchiha was in a quiet, intimate setting with Kisame Hoshigaki, visibly nervous but determined. He held Kisame's hand, ready to share the important news.
Itachi's eyes widened slightly as he realized what the screen was about to reveal. "This is... the moment I was about to tell you."
Kisame's eyes widened in surprise, turning to Itachi. "Tell me what?"
In the projection, Itachi and Kisame were sitting close together. Itachi took a deep breath, his hand resting on his stomach. "Kisame, there's something important I need to tell you," he began, his voice steady but filled with emotion.
Kisame looked at him with concern and love. "What is it, Itachi?"
Itachi placed Kisame's hand on his stomach, looking into his eyes. "I'm pregnant, Kisame. We're going to have a child."
Kisame's expression shifted from shock to joy, his eyes shining with happiness. "Itachi, this is incredible! We're going to be parents!" He pulled Itachi into a gentle embrace, holding him close.
Sasuke's eyes widened in shock before softening with emotion. "Nii-san, you... you're going to be a parent?"
Naruto's face broke into a wide grin. "Itachi, that's incredible! Congratulations!"
Sakura's eyes filled with tears of joy. "It's wonderful, Itachi. I'm so happy for you."
Hinata's smile was gentle and warm. "A new life is always a blessing."
Kakashi nodded approvingly. "You've faced many battles, Itachi. This one will be different, but just as significant."
Gaara's expression was thoughtful. "Your child will inherit your strength and wisdom."
Itachi turned to Sasuke, his expression softening. "It's actually mother, Sasuke."
"Wait, what—" Sasuke stammered, confusion and shock evident on his face.
Itachi sighed, casting a side glance at their father before explaining. "I was born a girl. Father didn't want a girl as his heir, so he forced me to hide my true gender."
Understanding dawned on Sasuke, his eyes reflecting a mix of sorrow and anger. "That explains why you always looked so pale and fragile... you were carrying this burden all alone."
Itachi nodded, a sad smile on his lips. "Yes, and now, this new life explains why I've seemed even more unwell recently. But it's a burden I gladly bear for the sake of our child."
Kisame held Itachi closer, his eyes filled with unwavering support. "We'll face this together, Itachi. You won't have to go through this alone anymore."
