Prologue

You tap your feet onto the ground, observing it's lines and being careful with your step acting as if it was lava. You were waiting in the hallway of the school you're gonna try to enter, the Hidden Leaf High. Standing up for a bit, you end up sitting on a chair in front of the principal's door. You suddenly hear the door open and you look up, seeing a blond haired beautiful woman with a diamond shaped tattoo on her forehead. "Are you (Y/N) (L/N)?" She asked you, being the only person in the hallway. You nod with a smile and later on hear her invite you in. You stand up and enter the room and sit on a chair that she was motioning to.

"Hello (Y/N), I am Principal Tsunade and I welcome you to this beloved school." She says as if it were the usual words she gives to every student that wants to enter. Giving off a bored vibe. "Passing the formalities, please hand me your birth certificate and a 4x4 picture of you which is what is missing from your documents Miss (L/N)." She says with her hand out towards you. Quickly, you pull out the documents out of your bag, not wanting to see her impatient side, and give them to her. She nods and looks through them, giving you a look of approval. Once she sees that everything is fine, she closes all of them. "Now for the interview." She says, causing you to get a bit nervous.

You passed the entrance exam for this school which is normally enough for the enrollment but since you're entering as a Senior, an interview is involved. This was causing you a bit nervous because you really wanted, and even felt the need to enter this school since it's prestigious and known to have very intelligent people. You knew entering this school would have made your parents proud and even though they had lost their lives to a terrible fire, you wanted to make them smile and feel proud of you wherever they were.

"Why do you want to enter the Hidden Leaf High and what are your goals at the end of your studies (Y/N)?" She asks, causing you to smile and respond confidently. "Not only do I want to enter because this school has excellent education, but also because I want to make my parents proud. All they ever wanted was for me to get the best of the best and they knew well that this school could give me that. It was very nice to have their support with what I want to study in a near future, which was journalism. Writing is my passion and I can see myself doing it for the rest of my life happily. I had heard rumors around town that this school had a great English teacher so I'm very ready to feel challenged by him or her." You say, seeing the Principal give a small smile as if she were trying to hide it. Because of the sight, your heart quakes in content noticing that she liked your careful words.

"You do give an aura of a bookworm. And your grades are very nice as well. I think you could fit in easily around here. And yes, Professor Kakashi is quite great and I trust that you'll like him very much. Has a bit of a weird taste in..." She quiets down, trying to think of a specific word for this not to sound awkward. "Extreme." She says with a hardy laugh. "Well enough said, you passed!" She says enthusiastically, causing you to gape your mouth open in shock. "That's it?" You ask, surprised at the interview just being one question. "The interview is much longer actually, following up with nine more questions but you aced it with just answering the first. Gave me a strong reason why you want to enter, acknowledge how challenging the school is and how great the teachers are. Not to mention the way you organized your words and have a wide vocabulary. Among other things. Now let's deal with the schedule and Senior uniform."

You find yourself at your red and white room. The corner of it was a bookshelf with over fifty books and texts in it. On the other corner was a wall full of pictures of you, your parents and cousins. The wall was about 30 feet in width and twenty in length. And surprisingly all of them were took up all of the space and in the very center was a picture of your parents' on the day of their wedding. You truly had an excellent life, one anyone would dream of. The only problem about it was you not really having stable friends. You had people to hang out with during lunch and other things but not ever to the extent of inviting them over or calling and texting eachother.

You throw yourself onto your white bed exhausted and sigh thinking about everything. It was the very first time that you actually did something on your own since your parents' deaths. Which was just four months ago. Mostly you like to keep your emotions to yourself so when speaking to the principle about your parents, you focused more on the fact of how you wanted to make them proud instead of dwelling over their death. It was very recent and due to it, you felt lonely constantly in your apartment. After they died, your aunt from the other side of the world organized it for you to live alone. You were already 18 years old, so it wasn't much of a problem.

But here goes another night where you are alone and thinking of your parents. You try your best to smile as you felt your heart shake and sink into your stomach at the thought of them. You were so very close to them so it had affected you ridiculously. So much that since that day, you've cried every single night but always tried to look at the bright side. And somehow, you luckily had one daily. "I did it mom and dad." You say looking at the ceiling and closing your eyes. "I'm going to make you proud. I promise." You say lowly, preparing yourself for your first day of school which was tomorrow. Not wanting your nerves to keep you awake, you end up crying yourself to sleep.
