As Team 7 is walking around Konoha, Menma appears in front of Naruto, and says, "Can we play ninja now? You said we could later, but I haven't been able to find you."

Naruto replies, "Sorry Menma. I've been busy training. Plus I heard from Tou-san that the Chunin Exams are coming up soon. So I need to train for them. I try to play with you later alright. We might even have a spar. Sorry Menma, maybe next time."

Sakura says, "A ninja playing Ninja, how stupid."

Konohamaru says, "Playing Ninja helps one make strategies, and develop stealth. So, actually it's not that stupid, and a really smart idea."

Menma says, "Yeah, it's a really smart idea, Forehead-baka."

As Sakura starts to fume, Naruto leans down towards Menma, and whispers, "Now you've done it. Menma, you should run. Like now. Run."

Sakura then goes to punch Menma, but just like Naruto told him to do, he ran. He ran as fast as he could, with Sakura chasing after him. With Naruto, and Konohamaru chasing after Sakura.

Soon after that, Menma runs into some dude. The guy wears a Bunraku puppeteer's costume; a black, baggy, full body suit with a red and yellow circle on the front. He also wears a black hood which covered his head completely, and had cat-like ears and his Suna hitai-ate on his forehead. The guy wears a triangular war paint design on his face. He also wears gloves and carries his puppets on his back.

The guy lifts Menma up by his collar. He says, "I'm going to teach you a lesson." The boy lifts his fist up in the air.

A girl says, "You shouldn't do this Kankuro!"

Kankuro replies, "The Gaki needs to be taught a lesson Temari. Plus Gaara isn't here. So we don't have to worry."

Temari's outfit consists of a single light purple-coloured, off-the-shoulders garment that extended to halfway down her thighs, with a scarlet sash tied around her waist. In addition to incorporating fishnet wears over her shoulders and legs, specifically on her right calf and her left thigh, she also wears her black clothed Suna hitai-ate around her neck.

Naruto, seeing this says, "Raiton: Shinden!" He shoots needle-shaped purple lightning at Kankuro, making both of his arms numb.

Kankuro drops Menma, and Temari says, "I told you, Baka. You shouldn't have done that."

Naruto shows himself to the two, and says, "Hi Kankuro, Temari. I'm the Copy's Fang of Konoha, Naruto Hatake. Kankuro, did you know you were just about to pound on the Yellow Flash's son, Menma Namikaze?"

This make Temari smack the back of Kankuro's head. Kankuro asks, "No, but how did you know our names?"

Naruto shrugs lazily, and replies, "I listened to your conversation." He then sniffs the air, and says, "Sasuke, and I'm guessing Gaara, get out of the tree." You can now see Temari, and Kankuro visibly scared.

Sasuke jumps down first. He has black eyes and spiky black hair with a blue tint. Sasuke's hair has hung over his face as bangs. He wears a black, short-sleeved shirt with a high collar, and white shorts. Sasuke also wears white bandages that end at his elbow, and covers a portion of his fingers. On Sasuke's waist is a black Chokutō, and on the back of his shirt is the Uchiha Clan's crest.

Gaara appears in a Sand Shunshin. He has fair skin, green eyes, and short auburn hair, that is spiky. Gaara lacks distinctive pupils or eyebrows, the latter of which others sometimes make fun of. He's has tanuki-like black rings around his eyes. Gaara wears a black bodysuit with an open neck, t-shirt-like sleeves, and almost full-length leggings. With this, he wears a white cloth over his right shoulder and the left side of his hips. He has a wide leather band from his left shoulder to his right hip with which he carries his sand gourd and around which he wraps his Suna hitai-ate.

Temari says, "I told him not to, I swear."

Kankuro says, "The Gaki started it, I swear."

Gaara says, "Temari, Kankuro. You two are a disgrace to Suna. Now shut up before I kill you." He then looks towards Naruto, and Sasuke. Gaara asks, "How are you two?"

Naruto lazily waved, as replies, "Hatake, Naruto Hatake, the Copy's Fang of Konoha."

Sasuke says, "I'm the Elite Sasuke Uchiha."

As they see the three Suna Shinobi leave in a Sand Shunshin, Sasuke asks, "Hatake, how did you know I was there?"

Naruto answers, "Didn't Tou-san tell you that the Hatake's sense of smell is on par with the Inuzuka's? Anyway, I promised Menma here to play Ninja with him, and a Spar. Since I have time to do so, I will. Let's go, Menma."

Menma yells, "I knew Nii-san would play with me, Dattebayo!"

Naruto chuckled, as he grabs Menma so they could play Ninja. After playing Ninja, it is time for the spar.

Naruto grabs his copy of Icha Icha, and blocks a punch from Menma. He then puts a clock on a rock set a time. The Hatake says, "I didn't say go, or even explain the rules yet. Anyway, Use anything you know to beat me. You have till the clock rings. Since I'm really strong, I'll only use Taijutsu, and kunai. Ok?"

Menma nodded, as he says, "Ok Nii-san, I'll beat you this time for sure, Dattebayo!"

The Namikaze then tries to kick Naruto, who again blocks the hit. The blonde jumps up, and does a flip kick, only for Naruto to dodge.

Menma yells, "AHHH! STOP READING, AND FIGHT ME!"

Naruto says, "If you can hit me, I'll put the book away, but until then I'll read."

Menma let's out a war cry, and rushes Naruto, who blocks a combo of punches from the Namikaze. The eight year old, jumps up, and attempts a spinning backhand. Only for Naruto to grab the punch, and pushes the spinning Menma away from him. Menma landing on his butt, he gets back up, and jumps as high as he could, trying to punch Naruto. The Hatake slightly ducks under the punch, and punches Menma in the stomach.

Menma says, "Kage Bunshin no Jutsu!" As ten Menma's appear from a puff of smoke, Naruto is slightly shocked.

Naruto raised his eyebrows, and then gets out a kunai. As he is slicing through the clones, Naruto blocks a kunai from the original. As the clones are now defeated, Naruto blocks shuriken from Menma. He slips his kunai back into his holster just in time to block another kick from the Namikaze. Menma then slides under Naruto, quickly jumping up into the air, and again tries to punch Naruto. Only for the Hatake to grab the punch, and swing Menma over his shoulder, and onto the ground. As Menma goes for another kick, the clock rings.

Naruto says, "Sorry about this, maybe you'll win next time, Menma."

Menma says, "Next time, Dattebayo!"

Naruto then looks at the sky, noticing that it's getting late, he says, "Menma I'll walk you home. We don't want what happened earlier to happen again, don't we?"

Menma agreeing, answers, "We don't."

And with that said, Naruto walks Menma home. Naruto knocks on the door, only to reveal an angry Kushina, who asks, "Why is Menma late coming home?"

Naruto answers, "Sorry Baa-chan. We bumped into some Suna Shinobi, who are here for the Chunin Exams. Then Menma wanted to play Ninja, and then we had a spar."

Minato appears in the doorway, and asks, "Menma, how many times have you lost to Naruto?"

Menma dejectedly answers, "At least 20 times, now. This time I couldn't even hit him Tou-san. Not one single punch, or kick connected. All Naruto-nii did was read, and block. Even when I used the Jutsu you taught me, he just took out a kunai, and easily took them out. It's no fair, Dattebayo!"

Minato ruffles his hair, and says, "Naruto is a prodigy just like his Tou-san. He even created his own Jutsu. If I remember correctly, it's called Raiton: Shinden."

Menma looks up at his father, and asks, "Do you think Naruto-nii will teach me it?"

Minato answers, "That's something to ask Naruto, since it's his Jutsu."

Naruto chuckled, as he says, "If you become a Genin, I'll teach it to you. Anyway, I got to get home. Kaa-chan will kill me if I'm home too late."

Kushina says, "Meet me, and the rest of the team at the normal place tomorrow. I have a surprise for you three."

He then disappears in a Shunshin.

When he gets home he sees his mother sleeping on the couch, and his father standing there watching her. Kakashi asks, "Where have you been, you were supposed to help your Kaa-chan?"

Naruto curses under his breath. He answers, "Sorry Tou-san. Menma gave me the Koinu inu no me no Jutsu (Puppy Dog Eyes Technique). I just couldn't resist. Menma wanted to play Ninja, and then he wanted a spar."

Kakashi nodded, as he replies, "I'm not the one you should say sorry to. Anyway, I'd like to teach you a Suiton, and Futon Jutsu. That is when you have the time. No go to bed."

Naruto nods, and goes straight to bed. He was tired. I mean playing Ninja, and a spar. It just wore him out.
