Chapter 20

Naruto's Point of View

I was standing in Tsunade's room again but this time not by my will. Gaara dragged me in here after I told him about Naeko.

"Tsunade sama! I caught Sasuke. He tried to sneak in and steal something , but this girl," he looked at me then continued, " who claimed to be his friend said I must be mistaken. He wasn't trying to do anything against Konoha and that he has changed. "

"S-Sasuke?!" I was surprised. What was he doing here?

"Who is this girl, do you know her?"

"No. but certainly, Sasuke has changed a little bit. If it wasn't a play, then the girl really kissed him and he didn't react."

"What? He let some girl kiss him?! I am going. I need to find Naeko! And now Sasuke too!" I turned to go but Garra's sand bind me. "W-what! Lemme go!!"

"So, basically, you mean we can't trust her?"

[ lemme go..! K'hssoo!! ]

"That's what I thought but now I guess, we have to trust her."

[lemme-]

"Damare Naruto!" ,scary Granny, she addressed me with shut up and then continued her talk with the 'Kazekage', "Huh? Why do we believe her? It could be a trap."

[Gaara!, Why the hell are-...]

"I told you, I also thought so..." he paused and I kept trying to break free. "untill...untill I met Naruto downstairs..."

"Lemme- huh?" I turned my head towards him. What did he mean ?

"That girl, she claimed to be ..."

Naeko's Point of View

I guess I over slept. Each and every bone in my body was hurting. I tried to open my eyes but I guess they didn't want to.

"Ummm... why is it still dark?" I murmured sleepily and yawned. I turned around and forced my eyes open and was met by a ghostly figure just opposite of me.

"Yikes!" it was a reflex. His red eyes stared right into mine.

"I thought you said that you weren't scared by the likes of me?" he smirked.

Oh. I remembered. Of course, how can I forget! Am in Konoha! And in a jail. Sigh.

I stuck my tongue out at him. He chuckled.

The half done training of yesterday had lead to this pain I was in. I didn't wanna get up but then I thought of Naruto. How much pain he might have endured in his life. Compared to that , it was noting! And I? I claim to be his sister? Blah.. can't lose to him now...

"How much time has passed?" I asked him.

"I don't know."

"Why are you showing your sharingan to me? planning to kill me? or..." I looked at him in a naughty way.

"What?!" he looked away.

"Well, you can't impress me with that...heh..." I laughed.

"I wasn't trying to impress you or whatever..." he said and closed his eyes. Next time they were black.

"Oh yeah?? " I teased. " you are such a moron.."

"Hn..."

I knew he wasn't trying to do none. I teased him just to give a better atmosphere. A lively atmosphere. Sigh. He couldn't help it. It had become his habit to use sharingan all the time. He activates it without knowing ot himself. And if it continues like this, he might as well end up like Itachi...losing his eyesight.

"You know , you should-"

"Naeko! Sasuke!" I heard Naruto shout as he came running downstairs , I was overjoyed. I knew he would come.

"Naruto! I am down here!" I shouted back. I was so happy.

"Loud , noisy brats..."

*Smack!

"Say that again and you will regret!" I threatened him and turned to the other side. Naruto was already standing there, his eyes wide in shock.

"Did he just let you smack himself?!"

I smiled at him and gave him a thumbs up. then I noticed that he wasn't alone , there was someone behind him.

"Sorry, I didn't believe at first that he had changed. But now I think I have to..."

I do'nt why but his presence made a chill run down my spine. his eyes locked with mine. What was this feeling? Every time i saw him, my stomach gave a wierd twist. Was it because of the way he looks?

But he was the reason we were behind the bars. I won't talk to him no matter what. No matter how much favourite character of mine he might be!

"Huh! Why are you here? To kill us ?"

He was taken a back at that. Okay... was that too harsh to say? But really it was because he didnt investigate before attacking! It was his mistake.

"Aaahh...my bad my bad..." a familiar voice called and descended from the stairs.

"Tsunade sama?"

"Granny?"

"Hokage sama?"

"Hn?"

"Konichiwa mina! i have a mission for you all."

"A mission?" we all said in chorus except for Sasuke and Gaara.

"Yes, a four man tram accompanied bu Kakashi."

"A four man team?" this time everyone spoke.

"Naruto, Naeko, Gaara and Sasuke. Ofcourse Gaara can refuse if-"

"I refuse." Gaara declared. Tsunade eyed him but continued , "okay then , a three man team."

Sasuke groaned. Naruto was overjoyed and I was nervous.

"What kind of mission is this, Gran?" Naruto asked.

"An 'S' rank."

"An 'S' rank mission? But why are you sending her?" Gaara pointed at me.

What did he mean by that? But yeah he was right. Why is she sending me out there that too on an S rank?

"because this mission is mainly hers."

"What?"

"Basically the mission is for Naeko to control Kyuubi's power. She will undergo the same process that Naruto did. Which includes-"

"First dealing with ones dark self, then going to the wierd room with no doors and which is yellow in colour. Then, using the key to unlock the seal, absorbing Kyuubi's chakra. If by any chance he aborbs mine,i die." i interrupted her and went on babbling.

She looked at me in a shocked and awed way.

"See,I told ya! She knows almost everything about everyone of us. " Naruto exclaimed.

"Yes, I can see that. Please prepare yourself to go till noon. Kakashi will be waiting at the village gate." She said and then walked off.

"Hey...! Atleast open this up. Let us come out!" I shouted.

She only waved me back and that too without turning back.

"Kh'sso!" Sasuke seemed annoyed. He stood up and opened and tapped the gate and moved out.

"What? it was already opened?" my jaw dropped.

"Hn." he said and went ahead.

"You knew it from the start didn't you?" I whispered for only him to hear.

Sasuke left. Gaara turned just after giving me a last mean look and was gone.

I quietly moved out and we walked our way out.

"Hey Naruto?"

" Yeah?"

"Do you reckon I will meet mom too?"

"Idk."

"Hey..." he said.

"Yeah?"

"How come you kissed SASUKE!?!?!"

"Ah....that..." ......
