(Y/n)'s POV

Once I read somewhere that opposites attract.

At the beginning I didn't give this sentence too much attention. I thought it was another foolish thing that humans made to pass their time. I thought it was a meaningless phrase. Yet, after some time, after I met a specific someone, I started paying more attention to it. I started seeing this phrase from another aspect.

-"(Y/n)!" a cheerful voice shout catching my attention.
-"Come and join me!"

I sighed as my (e/c) eyes looked at the owner of the voice, or creature, that was in the water. He was the stragrest man I have ever met. Someone that could make you laugh or scream from fear. Someone that seemed too nice to belong in the category of monsters.

-"Are you going to come?" he asked me again as he swam closer to me.

-"I told you many times Kisame that if I touch the water I will get injured." I said with a bored look.

-"That's not fun." he said pouting.

I sighed once again leaning back on the tree as my exposed skin burned the wood a little. I was a fire creature so what happened was normal. I looked like a dragon, but I didn't have those majestic big wings on my back, which makes me be a level down from the dragons. My skin was darker than others because of the extreme heat my body had, my (h/c) (h/l) hair had flames due to the dark red horns that was on my head and my (e/c) eyes turned red when I used my flame powers. Creatures like me are considered dangerous. That's why humans hunt us and kill us. That's why my kind is on the verge of extinction.

On the other hand, we have Kisame. He is exactly the opposite of me. He is a water creature. His skin is blue, his hair black just like his eyes, he has sharp teeth and nails, and he can breathe under the water. If all the information are put together everyone can understand that he looks like a shark. A shark that acts like it when he fights, but other than that he acts like a 5 years old boy. Sometimes this annoys me, but I try my hardest not to kill him. He is my only friend right now and losing him wouldn't be good for me.

-"You need to learn how to have fun, you know." Kisame said as he came out of the water going to change his swimsuit.

-"I can have fun in many other ways."

-"Like?"

-"Eating."

-"I can't understand how you can eat this much and still stay thin." he complaint as he put on his shirt not caring if it got wet.

-"Fire creatures need a lot of energy so they can use their powers. Food is a source of energy. So the more I eat the best for me." I answered as I stood up.

-"You will end up getting fat." he comment in an attempt to tease me.

-"Said the one that this month took more kiloes than me." I said smirking.

-"I swim everyday! So I didn't take any kiloes!" he said glaring at me.

-"Go see your weight and then come back and tell me if I am right or not." I said and started walking away.

I heard him growl annoyed as his feet following me. Conversations like this one are normal for us. We don't fight nor get very angry with each other. We just use sarcasm or things to offense each other. Maybe not the best way to talk, but we like it. It's something that we do together.

-"A village is nearby. Let's go there to eat." Kisame suggested.

-"I can hunt a deer and then eat it." I said not liking his idea at all.

-"You know humans won't hurt you as long as you stay by my side."

-"Don't be so sure." I said frowning.

-"Come on (Y/n)! Do it for your little friend!" he said looking at me sweetly.

I hate him when he does that. He knows that I can't resist his cute face or his sweet words. So he uses those against me when he wants something a lot.

-"Fine." I said as I looked away to hide my blush.

He smiled happily at this and made an attempt to hug me. However, when his hands touched my body we both got burned. As I had said we are opposites. He is water and I am fire. So touching each other is forbidden if we want to stay in one piece.

-"Stupid." I said glaring at him as I rubbed the part that I got burned.

-"Sorry." Kisame said with an awkward smile rubbing his burned hands.

I sighed at that and continued walking for the nearby village he had mentioned. It's pointless to give more attention to the what he did. So I will let it pass. I have more important things to think, like how I will deal with the village's civilians.
