(Y/n)'s POV

It was another relaxing day. I had a break from my ninja duties, so it was the best day to relax and make a stroll in the village.

-"Hey! (Y/n)! Wait up!"

I smiled when I heard that familiar voice. I turned around and found my friend and crush Shisui Uchiha running towards me.

I think I have a crush at him from the day I started working with him. It was 5 years ago, but of course I never told him. I just couldn't bring my heart to tell him. Rejection is what isn't letting me do it. But that doesn't mean I don't show him that I love him even if I do it through small actions.

-"Hey, have you seen Itachi anywhere?" he asked me breathless from running.

-"No, I haven't. Why? What's wrong?" I asked him concerned.

-"Aww, man!" he complained, kicking up the dust on the floor.
-"That's the fourth time he's given me the slip."

-"Maybe if you didn't express your thoughts so loudly, you would be able to keep up with him" I said smiling softly.

-"I guess so." he said with an awkward laugh.

Then my eyes widen, since I remembered something important.

"What's wrong?" he asked me concerned.

-"I forgot to tell you that Danzo told me to tell you that he wants to see you right away!" I replied quickly.

-"Really? When was this?" he asked me a little surprised.

-"This morning! Quickly! You need to go!"

-"Oh crap!" he said sweatdropping.

"You better get over there or it won't be just your butt he will be kicking!" I said with a soft laugh.

-"Why didn't you tell me sooner?" he asked me panicking.

-"I didn't see you sooner, because you were too busy stalking your friend." I said raising an eyebrow.

-"Sorry." he mumbled smiling awkwardly.

-"You better get going, Shisui!" I said pushing him a little to move.

-"Ok!" he said ready to walk, but before that he stopped and turned to look at me.
-"Let's eat something together tomorrow (Y/n)."

After that he started running away. I starred at his back blushing a little from what he said. That idiot didn't even let me reply. So how does he know that I will go?

Don't tell me he knows that I love him?!

No, I don't think he knows. I am doing a great job by keeping it a secret so I doubt it that he knows. Maybe he has something else in his mind. I wonder what...

Well I will learn tomorrow.

A week passed and I hadn't seen Shisui yet. It had never gone that long without seeing him and it hurt me for some reason. Maybe it hurt me the most because he had promised me to eat together. I don't know, but when I will see him I will kick his butt for making me wait.

I was out shopping when I heard a lot of gossiping. I got nearer to hear what they were saying.

-"Did you hear? Apparently, one of the Uchihas killed one of their own. Shisui, I think his name was." a man said to another one.

When I heard that my heart broke. And the worst thing was that I kept hearing the same thing over and over again. The same words repeating again and again in my mind and around me. It hurt me so much. I want it to stop. I want someone to tell me that it's a lie.

After all, there is no way he is dead. Danzo would protect him, right? Or not?

I don't know anymore. I don't believe that even myself is thinking such horrible things. After all maybe it's just my wild fantasy and he has been sent on an important mission. Yeah that's it! It's long term mission. Nothing to worry about.

I smiled to myself a little and continued my shopping. Although, I kept hearing the rumour more and more frequently. I frowned and looked down trying to stop hearing all those voices.

Something is very wrong about this.

After a little I reached my home and entered without a second thought. I needed to calm down and a quiet place like my house will help me a lot. Not long after I entered my house, there was a knock at the door. Confused I put my shopping bags down and answered the door. When I opened the door I found a very sad looking Itachi looking at me.

-"Itachi what's wrong?" I asked him a little scared.

-"It's... It's Shisui... He's..."

He couldn't finish his sentence, but he didn't need to. I had already understood what was going on. So when tears began to fall down my cheeks I didn't do anything to stop them. I just let them fall as I let myself fall too.

-"SHUSHI!"

Days passed from the day I learnt the truth. I didn't do anything those days. I spent most of the time in my room, clutching a photo of me and Shisui to my chest. It was taken not long after I became an ANBU black ops member.

-"(Y/n)! This is awesome. Today, you're finally one of us!"

I wanted to cry, but the tears would no longer come. I had cried so much the passed days that my eyes were dry now

-"I know! I can barely believe it myself! I can't believe I finally get to work with you and Itachi!"

The pain was unbearable. My heart was breaking again and again.

-"What's so great about Itachi? Isn't working with your best friend more important?"

His laugh rang in my ears and it hurt so much to hear it.

-"I suppose you are right, Shisui."

I looked at the photo. His arm was around me as he was smiling, doing a 'peace' sign. I just looked so happy by being next to him. Of course I did. He was the kind of person that when he entered the room, it was already a better place.

-"Hey Shisui and (Y/n). What are you two talking about?"

-"Nothing, Itachi." Shisui replied shuttering a little.

-"You are such a liar Shisui."

-"I thought so too." I agreed with Itachi.

-"Stop picking on me you two!"

Those days were way behind me now and I am never going to see Shisui again. I will never see him smiling again. I will never tell him how I truly felt about him.

-"I didn't even get to say goodbye." I mumbled for the hundredth time to myself.

-"Well it looks like I'll have to wait and kick your butt in the afterlife. You didn't take me to eat after all." I mumbled with a soft smile as tears started running on my cheeks.

I love you Shisui.
