Savior Kagami Uchiha x Poor reader

Before reading!
I would like to say that Kagami is out of character in this one. I didn't really knew his character, but I searched it. Still I think I am way out of it.
And this one shot was written with the help of one of my friends. Kagami is a difficult character for me so I am happy that I had help.
I hope you will like it. 😁
(Y/n)'s POV
I hardly walked through the thick, mucky lake waters in a desperate attempt to get to the other side. My arms stuck precariously out at my sides to try and help me keep my balance. Every time I took a step I felt my foot get sucked into the muddy ground under me. A scowl soured from my lips, disgusted by the predicament I was in. I felt the first raindrop halfway across, and it was within a matter of seconds that a torrential downpour was beating against me.
-"Seriously?!" I shouted into the air miserably, pausing for a moment just to appreciate how unfair my life was in that moment.
Falling back into reality I continued to take sloshy, heavy steps with my (e/c) eyes trying to see through the harsh rain. Just as I was about to make it to the other bank my foot was suctioned in a bit too deeply by the mud and I lost my balance, before awkwardly falling forward. The upper half of my body landed out of the waters and onto solid ground, while everything below the navel remained submerged in the lake.
-"Oh come on!" I groaned as I tried to yank my foot free of the Earth's tight vice.
-"Just let me go!"
-"Here."
A voice said making me jump at the sudden sound of another person's voice. Twisting my body to see around me, I shielded my eyes from the rain and looked up. A man's figure cloaked in black with his hood drawn up and holding an umbrella offered his free hand out to me. I didn't even hesitate to take the offer. The stranger took a tight grip before quickly and sufficiently pulling me free and back onto my feet.
-"Thank you so much." I said with a wide smile, coming to stand beneath the small umbrella the stranger held.
-"Who knows how long I would've been out here if you hadn't come along. What's your name friend?"
-"Uchiha Kagami. What were you doing out here in the first place?" he asked me in a curious voice.
I wiped the rain from my eyes, being able now to see the man more clearly. When I saw how handsome he looked I felt getting fluttered.
-"I could be asking you the same thing." I teased him smiling a little.
-"But I asked you first." Kagami said smirking a little.
Fast answers and cocky character. I like him.
-"I was just trying to make it to the next village, sjvxe I got chased out of the last one I was in. I'm (Y/n) by the way. It's nice to meet you!"
Kagany eyed me for a minute, mulling over my response and thinking why I would've been "chased out" of anywhere. It seems I didn't look like a person that could be chased. But be should learn that a book shouldn't get judged my it's cover.
-"We can talk better once we get to some shelter, wouldn't you agree? Come on then!" I chimed, leaving him with no more time to think and guiding him randomly into the woods.
-"The nearest village is actually this way."
The handsome young man corrected me, steering them opposite the way I tried to guide us. A smile grew on my face, that brought a glow to my cheeks, despite the way the elements worked against me.
-"I'd be lost without you Kagami. Thanks for finding me."
-"It's not as if I has been looking for you." he answered with a small smile as he started walking.
-"Maybe not. But you did find me, and that's all that really matters." I answered smirking a little as I followed him.
Kagami didn't answer, but he smirked a little at that not bring able to hide it from me. We walked the rest of the way in silence, the sound of rain so loud it even drowned out our own thoughts.
Kagami led me to the Inn that he and was staying in and directed me to the check-in counter in the main lobby.
-"Get a room for yourself and dry off, you will catch a cold staying in those clothes." he stated matter-of-factly before turning to make his way back to his own room.
-"Pay for a room? With what money?" I scoffed in genuine humor.
Anyone who had even the slightest idea of who I was knew that I was as poor as the dirt outside.
-"I will just find a covering outside somewhere, I will be fine. Thanks for showing me to this village though, you really saved me some time!"
-"Come on, you can wait out the storm in my room." Kagami said as he had stopped and was facing me.
-"That's awfully nice of you! I am sure I won't be here for too long. I think the strom will pass quickly." I answered as I walked at him.
-"It's ok if it lasts more. You can stay with me until it ends." Kagami responded as he walked for his room.
I walked behind him following his close. Soon we reached his room and walked in. He started searching for a towel to give me as I was looking around the cozy room. It was very nice and beautiful.
-"I don't have any clothes for you to change into, but you could ask the front desk if they have something." kagami told her smiling softly.
I nodded my head as I tried to dry my hair from the water and wipe down my wet face. After that I left going to the front desk to ask for some. It's going to be a long night with that strom outside and I need something dry to sleep in later.
After all, this day is the best until now. It Kagami didn't fight me I would have been still stuck at that lake. He is so nice. I need to thank him somehow for all that.
Kagami's POV
I watched her leave before sighing. I sat down at the edge of the bed as I put my head in my hands having a small smile. I knew that I had to finish my mission, but my mother's words will never stop running in my head. 'Never turn your back on a person in need, especially one's that can't help themselves.' I still remembered her lesson clear as day in my mind, and though I may not have always done the best job of following that rule I did make efforts where it was convenient. Even in death, if in the smallest way, I like to think that this made her proud.
-"Isn't this nice Kagami? This robe's so soft!"
(Y/n)'s voice came tumbling into the sanctity of my thoughts as she pushed back into the room clad in a white drape that came mid-calf. Discarding her wet clothes into the sink in an uncared for heap, she waltzed over and took a seat beside me, having always that soft and happy smile on her lips.
-"So you never did tell me what you were doing out there." she started up, her voice now much softer and almost relaxing.
-"I was going for a walk." I lied, since I wasn't allowed to say about my mission.
-"In the middle of a thunderstorm?"
-"It hadn't been when I left..." I said looking away from her.
-"Why did you have the umbrella then?" she asked me trying to make me look in her eyes.
-"Because I knew it would rain eventually."
-"And you still left?"
I left out a small groan not being able to think something to answer. This woman was quickly turning into an inconvenience one.
-"No I understand, sometimes you just gotta get out and clear your mind. A little rain never hurt anybody anyways." (Y/n) said smiling softly.
-"Excacly!" I said smiling agreeing.
After that I closed my eyes relieved that she believed me. A few moments of silence floated by before I felt the woman moving around beside me. Opening my eyes I found her curled beneath the blankets on my bed.
-"I am just gonna take a nap before the storm is over. I hope you don't mind."
She was so entirely innocent and pure of heart it almost seemed sickening to me. Her (h/c) hair sprawled out around her on the pillow case, and I could tell settings like these weren't where she belonged. She looked prettier outside in the rain. It suited her better.
-"Go ahead." I said after a little with a small smile.
Her eyes glided shut immediately at that as a small smile was on her lips. After a few minutes she was already asleep. I sighed as I stretched out on the open space beside her, but staying above the blanket. Weaving my fingers beneath my head I let my lids close. Without even realizing, I too quickly fell off into unconsciousness.
{...}
-"Kag... Kagami... Kagami wake up."
What started out sounding like a distant calling of my name became louder and clearer until I finally realized who it was. Opening my heavy and unwilling eyes I found myself chest to chest with (Y/n). My arms were tied around her waist tightly, pressing her into me, as if she were my own possession. Somehow she had managed to end up on top of the blanket as well, giving our body's full access to one another. Despite this over familiarity she still wore a gentle and friendly smile.
-"Kagami, it's time for me to go."
I blinked, for the first time in a while feeling absolutely nothing, but it was a different kind of nothing. No anger or sadness or longing for something bad. It was pure, clean, nothingness. So when she closed the few inches between our faces and pressed her lips to mine, the only reaction I had was the loosening of my grip on her.
Her mouth touched mine gently and with kindness, and though it was short lived it tasted like a sweet candy that I would like to have again. She pulled away slowly, a gloss now shining on both of our lips because of our sort kiss.
-"Thanks again for everything."
She hushed before sitting up and getting to her feet. I sat up as well, watching as she collected her still damp clothes and headed for the door. I felt like I had to say something, but I didn't quite know what.
-"Are you going to be alright?" I asked her, feeling slightly awkward.
-"I am sure you will find me if I'm not." she said with a last smile, before walking out the door.
And for whatever reason, I believed her to be right. I was certain that if she were ever not okay, I would find her again.
....
The end.
