Naruto's POV

-"Naruto, you and team 7 have to transfer the daughter of the leader of the (L/n) family safe and sound to her village at the Rice Land." Lady Tsunade told us in a serious tone as always. 

-"Yes ma'am!" my team said in unison and left her office. 

-"You know that it won't be easy, don't you?" Kakashi-sensei asked us as she looked at us, Sakura, Sai and me. 

The daughter of the (L/n) family had been to our village for a month now. She was "hiding" in our village this whole time to escape from the uprising of the villagers when they found out about her unusual powers. 

She is like me. A Jinchuuriki. 

You'll call me crazy, but when I found out about it I was happy. This whole month we spent a lot of time together talking and hanging out. It's such a pity that she has to return back to her village, but that's the right thing. I can't keep her here by force. She may not want to be here with me anyway. She may want to go back to her village and become the next leader of it. That's what she wants to do and I have to accept it.

We stepped out of the hokage building, which one day it'll be mine, and found her standing outside of it. She was waiting for us. She was so pretty as the sunlight toned her beautiful (h/l) (h/c) hair. She smiled at us as she approached us.

-"Hello everyone. What Hokage-sama said?" she asked us curious.

-"Good news (Y/n). Tomorrow we are leaving. You'll go back to your village." Sakura told her smiling. 

-"Really? Oh God thank you!" She said as her eyes sparkled with happiness.

With those words of hers I felt something inside me breaking. 
Are my feelings? Or my heart? 

Kakashi-sensei left and the same thing did Sakura and Sai. We were alone now. Suddenly, I had no idea of what I am supposed to say to her. 

Congratulations? 

No, no it's awful. 

-"Naruto-kun are you alright?" she asked me bringing me back to reality.

-"Yeah." I replied with a small smile. 
"

Why don't we go to eat some Ramen? After all its your last night before you go back to your village." I suggested and she seemed to like my idea. 

-"Sure."she replied smiling. 

We started walking until the Ichiraku Ramen stall and the mood between us was really awkward. None of us talked, neither looked at each other. But then I took the courage to ask her something. 

-"How do you feel now that you are leaving?"

-"I'm really happy that I'm going back to my village, but at the same time I'll miss lots of things here in Konoha. Like ramen, the people, Hokage-sama, Kakashi-san, Sai-kun, Sakura-San and especially you. Especially you Naruto-kun. I am going to miss you the most." she said and I could hear the sadness in her beautiful face. 

Dammit, I made her sad. 

-"Why don't we talk about something else?" I suggested. 

-"Ok."

We arrived at Ichiraku's Ramen and we ordered our Ramen.

-"We are going to miss you (Y/n). Have a good trip tomorrow." Ayame said smiling at her. 

-"Be safe." Ichiraku said. 

-"Thanks a lot for everything." (Y/n) said smiling as we left. 

It was late at night and we were alone at the empty streets of Konoha. It's bad to let a woman walk alone at this time.

-"Shall I take you home?" I offered. 

-"Sure. Thanks a lot once again Naruto-kun."

After a few minutes of walking we arrived at her house. 

-"It's time to say goodbye I guess." I said sadly. 

-"Oh come on Naruto-kun, don't be sad. We are going to keep in touch." She said and hugged me. 

-"Do you promise me?"

-"Of course I do. You are my best friend" she replied smiling. 

(The author from the distance:FRIENDZOOOOONED) 

-"Good night (Y/n). Be ready tomorrow to meet your family once again." I said with a sad smile.

She went upstairs and I made my way to my house. Tomorrow it'll be a difficult day. We have to be prepared. 

[...] 

-"Where have you been Naruto?" Sakura-chan yelled at me. 

Well she ain't wrong. I deserve the yelling. I overslept and now I'm late. 

Dammit!!!

I'll be dead as soon as I approach them.

-"I'm really sorry that I was late. I'm really really sorry." I apologized and bowed in front of them. 

-"Whatever." Kakashi-sensei sighed. 

We set off for our long trip to the land of Rice. The trip will be long and difficult. We may face lots of difficulties but I'm ready to face them all if it means (Y/n) is going to be be safe.

-"I'm tired. Can we please rest for a bit?" (Y/n) complained after some hours of walking.

-"Ok guys I think it's time to rest for a bit. We will continue soon so please don't move too far from here." Kakashi-sensei said and we stopped walking.

We jumped from the tree that we were and we landed on the ground. I leaned my back on a tree and I closed my eyes so I could rest. It was so peaceful.

After some minutes I opened my right eye so I could scan the area and be sure that everything was right. 

She was there. Safe and sound. 

I sighed in relief and Kakashi-sensei stood up.

-"Ok guys, it's time to continue."

Everyone did as he said and we started again our long trip. 

[...] 

It hasn't been a long time since our last break and from then I'm feeling that someone is following us. I think the others are feeling the same , since I can see that they are on guard. 

Then we suddenly heard someone being near us. Specifically behind me. I immediately turned and caught (Y/n)'s wrist. 

-"Well you ain't wrong. That's my target, but I'm gonna take her no matter what."

A voice said from the shadows. Wait! This voice! I would recognize it from kilometres apart!

"Sasuke!"
