Sasuke's POV

Demons.

That's how the creatures of the night are called. That's how they call the monsters that have come from the underworld. The beasts that are always thirsty for blood.

Those creatures are dangerous, strong to the point that they make you beg for a quick death and clever like a human being. Their powers differ just like their appearance. The majority of them are hideous and disgusting, but the minority of them look like humans.

The human eye can't see the difference between a human and a demon with the human form. The only ones that can see the difference between them are the protectors and the fighters, just like me, an Uchiha. We are the only ones that can find and kill those demons before they spread more darkness in the world. We are the only ones that can keep the balance between the humans and the monsters.

The only ones, yet we never got along.

-"You spaced out again, Sasuke." Kakashi said as he hit me softly on the head with his book.

-"I didn't space out." I answered as I didn't bother to look at him.

-"Oh? Then you are staring at (Y/n) on purpose." he said making obvious that he was smirking.

-"I hate her. That's all to it." I told him to reason myself.

-"Are you sure?"

-"Yes. After all, fighters and protectors never got along." I told him as I finally looked away from the demon protector.

-"What you said it's only written in the books. You can't be sure about the outcome if you don't try." he said as he started walking away slowly.

-"What do you mean?" I asked him as I stood up ready to follow him.

-"Follow your desires before it's late."

After that he disappeared leaving no trace behind him. I just continued looking at the spot he was seconds ago, trying to understand what he meant. My eyes widen when I finally understood what he was talking about. He was referring to me and (Y/n), giving me advices that I should make a move before she leaves. That idiot! I already told him that I hate her, so why does he keep bothering me? As a grown man he should know when he should stop, but it seems that he hasn't leant his limits.

I sighed and turned around to leave, but when I did so a figure appeared in front of me scaring me a little. I immediately took a step back and took my sword out ready to kill whoever was right in front of me.

-"I wasn't expecting you to get scared." (Y/n) said as she tried to hold back her laugh.

I narrowed my eyes on her not liking at all the fact that she scared me. I normally would have sensed her, but the last days my mind is traveling too much. I hate to admit it, but Kakashi is right. I have to stop spacing out.

-"What do you want?" I asked her as I put my sword back in its case.

-"I got bored. Naruto left to train and Sakura is busy with the hospital, so I thought that you could keep me company." she answered as she smiled softly at me.

For some reason I felt my cheeks heat up. I didn't want her to see me like that so I turned around with my back facing her now. So embarrassing.

-"Is something wrong?" she asked me worried.

-"Go away. I don't want your company." I told her and started walking away.

If I stay near her more, I won't be able to keep myself under control. I hate her so much!

-"Let's fight then."

I stopped walking and turned around to face her. I stared in her eyes trying to find any kind of emotion that will prove that she is playing with me. However, I didn't see anything. She was dead serious about it.

-"Naruto told me that you wanted to fight me. Let's do this then."

Her eyes sharp just like her hands. Ready to take out her knifes or sword and attack me if I made a move first. She was on guard. She always was, but now she a had a reason to be more fired up about it. All that made me smirk. Suddenly, I was enjoying this too much.

-"Let's make a bet then." I said winning her interest.
-"The winner is going to ask a favor from the loser. Whatever it is the other has to do it."

-"I am in!" (Y/n) said not thinking much about it.

My smirk grew as my hand went on my sword just touching it. (Y/n) did the same with her eyes looking at me just like mine on her. The smirk we had was still there. I could tell that she was enjoying this a lot too. This is going to be an interesting fight.

-"Now!" we said in unison and attacked each other.

We met in the middle making our swords crash. She was strong. I knew that from the first time I met her. However, I wonder how long will she be able to keep up with my strength, with my attacks, with my vision.

Let's do this.

(Y/n)'s POV

The fight was intense. At the beginning I was able to avoid and block his attacks, which was giving me time to strike at him too. However, after a little I was only blocking his attacks. He wasn't giving me time at all to attack him or even try to do it. He became faster and used attacks that could have killed me. So I can say that I am happy that the fight finished with him being on top of me with his sword on my neck. At least I wasn't hit by his susanoo or amaterasu.

-"You lost." Sasuke said as he finally got off me and sat on the grass beside me.

-"It seems so." I answered as I sat up and smiled.
-"But at least I enjoyed this to the fullest. It's been too long since I had a fight with someone as strong as me."

-"I won. So I am stronger."

-"Not really. I could have called my demon friends for help, but that would be unfair, right?" I asked him smirking.

-"I told you to use all your powers." he said as he glared at me.

-"Sorry, maybe next time." I said smiling at him.

For a moment his eyes widen like he remembered something important and sensitive, but then he smiled softly. It was the most beautiful smile I have ever seen. So calm and sweet. It suited him so much. It made him look more handsome than he already was.

-"I won, that means you have to do whatever I tell you to." Sasuke said as he stood up.

-"That's right." I said as I stood up too.

-"Then I want-"

-"(Y/n)!!!"

I turned around and saw Naruto running to us as he was calling my name repeatedly. I smiled at him and turned to face him, trying not to laugh at how angry Sasuke was, since he couldn't finish his sentence.

-"(Y/n), Tsunade told me that everything is ready. They are waiting for you to come." Naruto told me smiling as he started dragging me with him.

-"Calm down Naruto. I am coming." I said with a giggle.

-"Come on Sasuke. You have to say goodbye to her too." Naruto told him as we continued walking.

I smiled and just followed Naruto. He hadn't stopped talking at all at our way to the village's gates. He was so excited about me transferring three baby demons to Suna. He thought that they were the cutest things alive. I couldn't blame him, they were cute, but I had to take them to their natural environment if I want them to stay alive. So this is going to my mission that was given to me by Tsunade herself. A mission that only I can fulfill successfully.

After a little we were at the gates. Everyone that I had met at the village the past 3 days was there waiting for me. The Hokage explained to me that I have to be careful and that three Anbu are going to accompany me for better protection. After that everyone started saying their goodbyes at me, telling me that I should come for a visit again if I come around the village.

Sasuke was the only one that hasn't talked yet. I stared at him waiting for him to say something at me, but he just looked away ignoring me. I can't understand him sometimes. We were getting along so good before a little. What changed suddenly?

-"(Y/n) you should get going." Tsunade said as she told the Anbu to start walking with one of them leading the wagon that the demons were in.

I nodded my head and turned around to leave, but a hand stopped me before I was able take a step. I turned around and saw Sasuke looking at me. He had a small blush on his cheeks, but he was trying to act like it wasn't there.

-"Take care. It's dangerous out there." he said serious.

I didn't answer. I just smiled and approached him more. When I was right in front of him I put my hands on his shoulders pulling him down so I could reach his face. His eyes widen when he felt me kiss him on the cheek. It was a very innocent act, yet it was able to make him a mess. I had only this chance to do this, after all. It was now or never. So of course I choose the first option, not caring about the others that were staring at us shocked about what had just happened.

-"Don't worry Sasuke. I know how to protect myself." I said smiling as I started walking away with my purple tail moving happily behind me.
-"See you next time! And then maybe I will be able to grand your favor!"

I didn't hear an answer, but I am sure that he was smiling. Everyone else was whispering and talking to each other about what they had just witnessed. Only Kakashi was calm, because he was the only one that was expecting this to happen, after all.

In a little I was right beside the wagon. The smile on my face hadn't left yet, and I am sure it won't go away soon enough. After all I love the happiness that I am feeling right now, because this happiness was created by my fighter, an Uchiha fighter.
