....

(Y/n)'s POV

Another day had just began.

The sun had just started rising up. I could see the small light coming from it getting bigger and bigger with each passing minute. It was a majestic moment. Something that I could admire every day and then I would write to my diary that I witnessed again the sunrise. Another day that my heart was still beating, giving me the chance to live more. Live through this boring and uninteresting life full of doctors and medicines.

A soft knock was heard on the door making my eyes leave the sun and go to it. After a little it opened allowing a doctor to enter my hospital room. A man that I have come to know better than myself. Someone that I have passed hours talking to. Someone that I have come to admire and love at the same time. He was someone that lived up to his title as a doctor. A worthy doctor that have managed many times to bring me back from the dead.

-"Good morning (Y/n)." he said softly as he approached me with a cup of tea for me and a cup of coffee for him.

-"Good morning Madara." I said smiling softly.

It had become our routine by now. Sitting in my room's window admiring the sunrise or sunset. It's something that we do together. Like our secret place to meet and talk.

Being almost two years here gave us the chance to get to know each other better. At the beginning we didn't see each other much. Me being lost when I was informed about my heart problems, making me not to talk to anyone and him trying to find a way to save me or keep me alive. It was after three months that I started talking with him more. That time our conversations went for the daily ones to the point of doing some sarcastic comments or saying something fun. And after a little he caught me awake staring at the sunrise. He started sitting with me time to time and after half year he started sitting beside me everyday admiring both sunrise and sunset.

-"How are you feeling today?" Madara asked me after a little.

-"I give you the same answer for the past two years. Do you think it changed now?" I asked him with sarcasm in my voice.

-"Someone didn't sleep much." he commented with a small smirk.

-"And you did?" I asked him smirking.

-"I think both of us didn't, so it's pointless to continue this conversation." Madara said smirking more.

-"I agree." I said and drunk some of my tea.

My eyes went at the sun again admiring it's colors. I always liked staring at it. It gave me courage that I am going to make it through this day too. It made me believe that I am a strong fighter. A girl that can fight with her illness and come out as a winner.

-"Today is your surgery." Madara said softly looking at me.

-"I know." I mumbled as I sighed.

-"I thought you will be happy." he said confused.

-"I am. I just have a bad feeling about it."

Madara sighed and placed his cup of coffee on the table beside him. After that he opened his hands and waited. I didn't think much about it. I just run at him hugging him tightly as a soft smile was on my lips. I liked it when he did that. He knew what I wanted and when I wanted it. I think that's why I love him so much.

-"Do you trust me (Y/n)?" he asked me as his hands caressed my hair softly.

-"I do."

-"Then trust me that this surgery is going to be successful."

-"I will try." I said as I sighed.

-"Let's make a promise." he said as he made me look at him.
-"After this surgery I will take you out on a date."

When he said that my cheeks became red from embarrassment. I think he saw that because he smirked enjoying my reaction. I hate him when he teases me.

-"Ok... But if I don't-"

-"No. I want only positive thoughts today." he said interrupting me.

-"Fine. I expect you to take me to a fancy restaurant!" I said smiling.

-"You bet I will." he said as he ruffle my hair.

I smiled at that and hugged him once more making him hug me back. I closed my eyes enjoying the sounds that his heart made. It was so peaceful. Like I could hear my heart. A sound that I always liked and always will. It's something that makes me believe that I am alive.

-"Let's get ready for your surgery (Y/n)."

Madara's POV

-"(Y/n) is ready for the surgery." a nurse informed me.

I nodded my head and exited my office following her to the room that (Y/n) was sleeping peacefully. Today was the day that she would change her heart, putting a knew one in its place. Today was the day that she would eventually have the chance to get out of this hospital.

A day for both of us to remember.

-"Madara."

I heard a voice making me stop walking. I didn't need to turn back to see who it was. The voice was too familiar that I didn't need to.

-"I trust you, so please make her come out of there alive." Hashirama said with a worried voice.

-"Don't worry. I got this."

Those were my last words before I entered the surgery room. I put on my mask and gloves and went close to (Y/n)'s body. She was sleeping peacefully waiting for me to start her surgery, to start something that is going to change her life again.

-"Let's do this." I said and took the tools I needed to use.

Things went smoothly at the beginning. I cut her chest where the heart was. After that I took off her heart cutting it to right places not wanting to create more damages. And then I asked the nurses to bring me the new heart. A nurse brought the box close to me opening it for me. I put my hands in there and softly took hold of the heart bringing it out. I brought it close to (Y/n)'s body and with steady moves I started putting it where her old heart was.

After a little I had finished and waited for others to tell me that it was another successful surgery. But instead of that the only answer I took was silence. Everyone was looking at the monitor waiting for it to start beating, but nothing happened.

At that moment I panicked. I don't why, but I felt cold sweat running on my body. So I immediately started doing anything I could to help her. Anything I could do to bring her back to life. I tried to bring her back to life like I have done many other times. I needed to see her alive. I needed to, because I couldn't lose her. I had made a promise. A promise that I am not going to keep if this continues.

The doctors around me were trying to keep her oxygen and anything else stable, but whatever they did she continued being in a bad shape. She continued laying there lifeless. Her body being cold by now as her skin was turning white. The blood not running in her veins anymore. Her organs not giving a sign of life.
She was...

-"It isn't working!" another doctor said seeing that the monitor beside her gave no signal that she was alive.

Half hour had passed from the time we tried to bring her back, but still nothing happened. She was still laying there lifeless. She was still dead. I stared at her shocked and then I fell to my knees screaming loudly her name. I didn't care about anything and anyone right now. I was mad, sad, angry, disappointed. I was all that and more. And I blamed everything to myself. I am the one that killed her. If I was a better doctor nothing would have happened. If I was better, I would have kept my promise.

It was my fault.

I am the one to be blamed.

-"I told you that I had a bad feeling."

I heard her voice, but I didn't see her anywhere. She was still laying there lifeless. She was still not moving. She was still dead. And that was enough to make me cry.

It was enough to break me.

.....

The end.

Sorry for the sad ending, but I hope it was good because I had doubts about it.
