You yawn waking up from your good sleep and when you open your eyes they come in contact with pineapple-shaped hair. "Shika." You call out shaking his shoulder, he groans "whaat." His deep husky voice makes you blush but you quickly pull a piece of his hair "Get up!" He swats your hand away making you smirk "guess I'll take up Kiba's offer on going shopping." You move only to be held down by strong arms, Shikamaru rests his head in the crook of your neck inhaling, making you smile. "Now why would you wanna do that, I'm already up see?" You kiss him, your heart increases everytime. After being his girlfriend for so long, you still aren't used to the butterfly feeling you get in your stomach everytime you share a romantic gesture with him. "Alright then get ready, Shikadai will get here any minute now." "Ahh what a drag." He lazily says as he starts getting ready, you following after him. You shake your head, you knew Shikamaru loves his son to death.

You've been Shikamaru's girlfriend for 5 years now, his son is 10. When Shikadai was 4, Temari and Shikamaru just didn't get along anymore, they started arguing and later divorced. Shikadai favored his father but Temari as the mother, ended up with his custody. Now Shikadai came on weekends where you Shikamaru and him would spend your days doing what smart cookies do. Since the 3 of you were all super-intelligent, you all shared most of the same interests.

You heard a knock on the door and open it revealing a not so happy Temari and sighing Shikadai. Temari nudged him in as you smiled at her as she took her leave, as you can tell she wasn't very friendly with you especially after yesterday's news.

"Hard time with your mom?" You ask as you serve him breakfast. "She's been bothered since yesterday, I just don't get it." You give him a sympathetic smile hoping Shikamaru would come down, you don't know how Shikadai would take the news. "Hey Shikadai." Shikamaru says patting his head while sitting down. Shikadai smiles nodding at his dad as you gushed at how cute they both looked. They looked at you weirdly as you hugged them "you two are just the cutest ever!" "And you're the weirdest." Shikadai says laughing.

You were all in the living room now as you read a book and Shikamaru was challenging Shikadai at Shogi. Shikamaru looks at Shikadai making him question his dad "Son, We need to tell you something." He nods making him go on "(Y/N)...is pregnant." You and Shikamaru expected an angry Shikadai but on the contrary he grinned walking over to hug you. "You're happy?" "I've always wanted a sibling, it was about time!" You giggle hugging back tightly, Shikadai will always be your cute little son, even if not by blood. You love your both Shika's and was thankful for having them in your life, and expanding the family would be even better.
