You walked over to the training grounds happily carrying the bag full of lunch you prepared for your husband and his team. "(Son's name) come along, your father will be waiting." Your 5 year old son follows quietly behind as he stares at the genins training along the way. "Say (Son's name), do you want to be a ninja?" He shakes his head "I want to be a researcher." You laugh at him "you sure are different from your father."

Once you arrive your crazy loud husband runs over to carry and spin you. "Gai! Put me down!" You say flustered while giggling; you felt like a teenager in love all over again when around him. "I'm just so happy to see my beloved youthful flower!!!" He puts you down and looks down to his son. "Of course I'm glad to see you as well (Son's name)!" He smiles at Gai, despite them being so different, he's always looked up to him. "Come on, let's go eat lunch with your team."

Once everyone was together you only laughed at how Gai was busy spouting 'youthful nonsense at Lee and your son; who were listening attentively. "Um, (Y/N)-San?" You turn and smile at Tenten. "Yes?" "I-I don't mean to be rude but, how did you and Gai-sensei happen?" Neji glares "Tenten, that is rude!" You wave him off. "Not at all, I get this question all the time. All the looks I recieve from everyone in the village are obvious as well."

It wasn't a surprise for people to question how someone like you married someone like Gai. You were a beauty and strong Kunoichi of the village, while Gai was the loud man who only survived on Taijutsu. But you weren't always like the way you were now and Gai stood with and loved you since the beginning. "When we were young, I wasn't always what people thought. The Beauty and powerful woman of the village...see when Gai and I were kids we started off as bestfriends. As a matter of fact he was the only friend I had. Kids didn't want to be friends with the chubby, talentless girl  and they didn't want to be friends with a boy who couldn't make it in the academy." Tenten and Neji stared wide eyed, Tenten ushered for more of the story. "...-so basically he and I fell in love with the real person in each of us." "Aww, that was the cutest love story ever! Still...it's hard to believe that you both were once neglected! You're both talented ninja's now! And have the most adorable son!" Tenten pinched (Son's name)'s cheeks as he complained. You smiled in thought at how hard you worked to become the person you are now just so you can be good enough for Gai. "Well, love does make you do crazy things." "Indeed!" Gai chips in sitting next to you leaning in for a kiss. Tenten covers your son's eyes and takes him with Neji towards the Kunai tossing area. You laugh and kiss Gai. "I really do love you Gai, no matter what people say." "As do I my youthful wife!"
