Chapter Nineteen- A Horrifying Dream
19 Narnia Rewrite
After much careful consideration (and requests from you guys) I decided to give everyone an update on what's going on with Tommy. This may just be in this chapter, or maybe a couple of chapters, we'll see. Btw, Tommy's going to end up going out with an akatsuki GUY. Yup, that's right you homophobes who haven't read the first few chapters, Tommy's gay. Which means that one of the Akatsuki is also going to be made gay.
I, personally, am leaning towards either Dei-dei or Sasori-danna. Or possibly Tobi. I not sure yet. Votes on what you all think?
If you don't like yaoi/boyxboy, don't worry. I doubt there'll be any explicit stuff, just maybe makin' out and such. And if there is I'll give you fair warning, 'kay?
Also, REMINDER: Tommy is smart, so told the Akatsuki that his name was Ichigo, after Kurosaki-kun from Bleach. Y'know, 'cause Tommy is kinda conspicuous...
Well, on with this chapter!

I ran my hand back through my hair tiredly as I sat up in bed, and jumped slightly at how short it was. I went to yell at my brother Drew, until I realised- Drew wasn't there. None of my family were.
It wasn't Drew that cut my hair. Or dyed it this colour.
I was in the Naruto world still, stuck with a bunch of S-rank criminals who were all surprisingly nice. Well... mostly.
"Hey, are you awake, kid, un?" a voice slipped through my door, and I slid out of my bed and stretched the lethargy out of my muscles.
"Yeah, I'm up." I replied, going to the mirror in the corner and raking my fingers through my wildly spiky hair. See, this is why I grew it out a bit. It never used to go this flicky.
I heard the sound of the door sliding open, and footsteps. I ignored Deidara's gaze on me with ease- it had been like this for over six months now.
"Leader-sama has a... mission for you, Sasori-danna and I, un." he said, and I nodded, gaze still on my reflection as my fingers gently probed the shadows under my eyes.
"What kind of mission?" I asked- I'd been on Akatsuki missions before, and they weren't pleasant. I've lost quite a bit of sleep over them in the past- though there was a different reason for my under eye-luggage.
"He wants you to participate in the Chunin exams," my head jerked, bumping into the shelf over the mirror (I wasn't yet used to being tall, either), and I hissed in pain. Deidara looked concerned, "Are you okay?"
I nodded painfully and waved my hand in a circular motion, "Go on."
"Well, he wants us all to enter- in disgiuse of course, well except for you- and scope out any potential Akatsuki underlings, un." he continued, still eyeing me, "Rumour has it that there are some especially powerful genin this year. Orochimaru already got to one of them, so we need to get our hands on the other before he does."
"And... where will the exam be held?" I asked, controlling my expression, though I already knew the answer.
"Konohagakure, un." I winced, and it did not go amiss to Deidara's quick eyes. "Don't worry, I won't let anyone hurt you."
They were all under the impression that I 'arrived' because I was running from my old village. Oh, how wrong they were.
"...Thanks." I mumbled, looking away. Deidara seemed to realise what he said, and pink tinted his cheeks.
"I-I mean, Leader-sama has ordered Danna and I to make sure no harm comes to you, un." he said quickly, stammering. He then calmed, and smirked at me. "You are his prized possession, after all."
I grimaced and sighed. "Well, anyway, can you leave now, I want to get dressed."
Deidara nodded. "You have training with Itachi in half an hour, remember."
I frowned at him. "Of course I remember."
With that beautiful man training me... how could I forget?
He shrugged, and left.
I dressed quickly, then went down for breakfast. While I was eating, several Akatsuki members entered and sat down.
Training. I had been training with Itachi since I arrived here, since I was shown to have a strong affinity for the element of fire. In other words, Itachi had trained me on the basics, and then started to teach me fire-style jutsu. And, surprisingly, I was good at it. Me, who had never excelled at anything physical in my life. It was like I was, however cheesy this may sound, born to be a ninja.
But at the same time, my worries kept creeping up on me...
I somehow knew that Charlie and Zoey were in this world too. I just woke up one morning, and... knew. Don't ask me how, because I don't know. I was just certain that they were here, and each undergoing a rough time, Charlie more so than Zoey. I could almost feel Charlie's mental pain and fragility, and it scared me. What was happening to my best friend to make her feel this way?
And as for Zoey... I could feel a change in her. I wasn't sure what, exactly... but I knew it wasn't good. Something- or someone- had caused an unfathomable transition in her, and I couldn't help but feel that this sense of foreboding I felt was foreshadowing events to come.
Shaking my head as if to clear of the depressing train of thoughts, I stood and cleared my dishes to the sink, then started on my way to meet Itachi for training. I switched my mind to a new topic- the chunin exams.
The Chunin exams were in the Leaf village, and if my hunch was correct, that was the village that Charlie (and possibly Zoey) was in. If I could get away from Sasori and Deidara for just a moment, I could find her and communicate with her. Even someone as dense as Charlie would surely recognise me, right?
I caught sight of my reflection in one of the many puddles that formed from the water dripping from the ceiling of the cavelike rooms and sighed. No. She wouldn't.
Because, aside from the obvious, I had changed a lot. My jaw had lost the childish roundness and grown more angled, and my body was no longer skinny, more packed with muscle than before, though wiry because of my naturally slender frame. Hopefully I would be able to talk to her or something without her attacking me.
When I arrived in the training grounds, Itachi was already there, waiting. I checked my watch (which somehow came to this world with me) and felt relieved. I had only been twenty minutes, so I wasn't late... Itachi was just early, as usual.
"Ohayo, Senpai." I called politely; he just nodded, expression blank. I wish he would smile sometimes. I just know that he has a beautiful smile. But then, I can't blame him for being like this. I can, however, blame that imbecile Danzo Shimura.
"Shall we begin?" He asked, with still no expression, though his tone wasn't flat. I nodded, determination making my muscles tense eagerly for battle, even though sparring didn't come until much later.
If I got strong enough... I would be able to escape and reunite with Charlie and Zoey. Then we could all go home, together.

"Do you mind if I sit with you?"
My tired eyes snapped open to meet the gaze of one Akasuna no Sasori.
I shook my head, puzzled, sinking back into the sofa cushions. "No, go ahead."
I was surprised when I first spoke to Sasori. In the manga and anime, he is always put across quite brash and uncaring, but he's always been polite and actually quite nice when I have spoken to him.
He was holding onto one of the puppets from the scroll that he uses in the fight with Chiyo in one hand, and a tool kit in the other. He sat down and started fiddling with it.
"That damn brat's talking my ear off in our room." he explained as I watched him screw in a finger socket, "I couldn't concentrate with his incessant babbling."
I laughed quietly, "Well, that's Deidara for you."
Sasori chuckled as well, "I suppose I should be used to it by now, I've known him many years."
" It doesn't matter how long you know them, trust me." I said with a slight grimace. "I have a friend just the same, and I've known her for years and she's still annoying."
"Sounds like you really care for this girl." Sasori stated, tightening the screw at the joint of the puppet's jaw. I blinked at him- how could he get that from what I'd said?- then smiled.
"She's one of my best friends." I said, pulling my knees to my chest. I couldn't really say anymore- if I told them that she was probably in the Leaf village, they wouldn't let me go, therefore thwarting my chances of escaping.
I glanced at my watch. Six PM.
I'd had my dinner straight after training, then just flopped down on the sofa, too tired to move or go to my room (since it was all the way on the other side of the stupidly massive base, when the living room was right next to the kitchen). This was the way I felt after training every day- Itachi sure didn't go easy. But I preferred it that way. It meant I got stronger faster.
"You look tired. You should go rest." Sasori's voice pulled me out of my thoughts, and I couldn't help but remember the time that Charlie, Zoey and I had all squealed over how sexy his voice was at one of our many sleepovers (the girls' parents didn't mind me sleeping over because they knew I was gay). The thought made my face heat up, and I slung my forearm over my eyes in an attempt to disguise it.
"I'm good here.." I yawned, and heard the quiet sound of Sasori's chuckle once again. I couldn't help but smile. "So I heard that you and Deidara have to disguise yourselves for our next mission."
At this, Sasori grunted, and I heard the click of wood against wood as he continued tinkering with his puppet.
"Yes, we'll be transforming to look about your age." he said, sounding as if this idea irritated him.
So in other words, I'll be on a team with teenager Sasori and Deidara?
I just knew that Charlie and Zoey would be so jealous of me right now.
"Oh... but what about passes?" Surely the Leaf village wouldn't give passes to the Akatsuki?
"It will all be taken care of." somehow that sentence seemed to entail more than what I had asked.
I sent him a glance, but he was gazing at the opposing wall with glassy eyes. I brushed off my wariness, but held onto my suspicions for later.
"When will we be leaving?"
"In two days."
I chewed on my lip- that meant I had planning to do.
I leaned back into the sofa and shut my eyes. A familiar cry made them snap open again.
"No!! Get the hell off me!! You- mmph!!!" I, like one of those idiots from a horror film, ran towards the screams, not able to pinpoint where I had heard the voice before. My mind was foggy, like someone had replaced my brain with marshmallow. That phrase right there is Charlie's influence.
The door that the screams rang from behind was huge and made of metal; a door that I had never seen before. It was left ajar, so I slowly pushed it open and peered round.
A girl was strapped to a metal lab table, her limbs hanging limply. I would assume that she was the screamer, and had been knocked out so that she wouldn't struggle. She had a shock of bright orange and black hair, splayed over the table.
Another person was sat on a different table, but this one wasn't strapped- and the orange mask told me who he was. Tobi. Or I suppose Madara.
And, leaning over the girl's body, were Kabuto and Orochimaru. I watched with a pounding heart as Kabuto slowly forced open the girl's eye- it emitted a luminous glow, and Kabuto fell to the ground, screaming. Orochimaru quickly performed a jutsu of some kind, smacking Kabuto, and the man stopped screaming and got to his feet, panting and sweating.
Kabuto held the eye open again and avoided letting the light shine into his eyes, moving so that Orochimaru could lean in and slice open the eye with a scalpel. He then used a syringe to draw up some bright yellow liquid out of the eye into a vial. I gagged as blood from the girl's eye spattered on the ground, a different pattern brick to what was on the floor of the rest of the base.
The glow dimmed and disappeared from her eye, and Kabuto placed his hand over it and healed it with his medical ninjutsu.
"Give her back!!" a new voice roared, leaping in through the window, glass flying everywhere. He had hair the same as the girl's, and the same bright yellow eyes, though they didn't glow like the girl's did.
He looked absolutely furious, but he was no match for Madara. The Uchiha male stood, and my eyes widened.
"No!!" I yelled, running towards them. I don't know what I aimed to do, but there had been enough bloodshed for this family!
But I was too late. I reached them just in time for the boy's blood to splatter on my clothes and skin.
And then I sat up.
With wide eyes, I gasped for air, staring around my surroundings and recognising my room. My heaving breaths slowly died down, and I clutched my head, drawing my knees up to my forehead.
What was that?!

Ooooooohhh!!
Wonder what that was all about? ;D
Well, sorry for not updating in ages. I'm a bad author-person. D:
But I have big plans for this story! BIG PLANS! :) I can reveal that there will be a second book! Not yet though. Got to get past the chunin exam arc first ;)
