Time was getting better, it didn't feel like your parents were breathing down your shoulder, but you still often had to deal with Miyoung.
Renjun would stay by your side, but you couldn't guarantee your relationship was changing.
He was a good friend and probably the only person you've ever been close to. You hate to admit it, but after these couple months you've fallen for him.
You knew he wouldn't reciprocate your feelings and you didn't expect him to.
"Are you hungry?"
Renjun asked leaning his head on your shoulder, causing your cheeks to tint a bright pink.
He hated having to sit in class with nothing to do, but it was better than sitting through a lesson.
Usually on a normal day the teacher would be giving extra lessons on math; except today since your teacher was out.
And since the school has no extra teachers you guys were stuck in class with nothing but an empty silence.
But what made it worst was the fact that none of you had your phones. Right before the first classes your homeroom teacher took all your phones.
So in boredom most of your classmates much like Miyoung ended up walking out probably hanging out with friends in the halls. Other students like you and Renjun stayed in class.
"Kinda, why?"
"Let's get some food together, we'll come back just in time before the next class anyways"
The offer was tempting and it wasn't like you'd get in any trouble for leaving.
"Sure"
Renjun smiled softly and you both walked out of class together.
Honestly you were extremely scared to leave; you had never done anything against the rules. Technically this wasn't even against the rules, but you were still scared to do so.
The walk wasn't far since it was just the school store and it seemed the only person who was were there was the one who worked there.
You were surprised you hadn't run into Miyoung along the way and grateful you hadn't.
"Pick what you want I'll buy"
The same feeling of earlier return, but you quickly reminded yourself he was just being kind. You didn't want to misread his actions and cause any problems between the two. Especially now since you felt closer than ever.
It didn't bother you if you stayed friends forever. It was better than losing him because of stupid mistakes.
He walked to the other side of the store picking out some of his favorite chips along with banana milk. He waited for you to pick out your food before paying.
Contrasting to Renjun you picked your favorite strawberry milk and red bean bread. Recently you had been craving it, so there is no better time than now.
Along the walk back Renjun continued to make jokes with you. Each time you couldn't help, but laugh a little. He had that comfort you always needed.
But it scared you that maybe it was getting too comfortable.

"So are you getting back with Renjun?"
Iseul, Miyoung's best friend, asked her.
Since they were younger the two got along fantastically. They always were together and overall complimented each other well.
Though nobody would actually admit it, they were both toxic. Which is probably why they get along so well.
Out of everybody in the school Iseul knew Miyoung the best. She knew Renjun was never dating Miyoung, but that's how they were. Supporting each other through the worst.
"Come on, you know it wasn't even real"
Miyoung scoffed as she sat against the wall of the hallway. All she wanted was to go home, but if she had one more absence her parents would be on to her.
"It could have been. But thats not even what I'm talking about. Your cousin is catching feelings for him"
"And? It's not like anyone will ever date her"
Iseul rolled her eyes hearing Miyoung's attitude shine through. She took a deep breath holding back the need to yell.
"Just saying they're getting awfully close"
Iseul snickered noticing Miyoung beginning to get angry.
"So what am I supposed to do? I already tried talking with him, but he's a stuck up bitch"
Miyoung almost yelled. Her patience running low as for the first time ever she was clueless. She hated him, but no matter what she tried Renjun still had the same fucking attitude. Everything she did backfired; all her options were starting to disappear.
"Dig up his past obviously. He moved here and told us nothing, he's hiding something"
Everyday classmates would watch them hang out wondering how long they had been good friends. They envied them wishing they could have a friendship just as great as them.
But nobody truly understood them. All their classmates assumed the friendship worked out without a problem. They never chose to look past the perfect picture because if someone actually knew the truth maybe it would all go up in flames.
The real truth was right in front us
Even they themselves hated each other
