Chapter 13: Xapaetia

Rylie finished chuckling and noticed how the group looked. "What is it? You look like you've seen a ghost." She asked them.

"You died!" The group yelled at her.

"Uh... About that..." She trailed off.

She then proceeded to explain to the group the whole situation. That when she broke Sapience, she was split in half.

Her body was intact, but her memories stayed as a trapped spirit in the castle and went insane. So, she was an amnesiac who couldn't figure out what was missing from her.

"And yeah, that's about it." She finished.

The group just stared at her.

"You need therapy," Asra told her.

Rylie just blinked.

She then sighed and smacked her forehead. "I gotta fix Sapience, but now; I gotta help my people." She said with some guilt.

She then went outside the castle to the steps and the group looked at her suspiciously in case she fell again.

She then got to the bottom and started chanting, her body getting a blue light around her.

A flash of light again and all the people of Narbest were there. They looked around confused.

Rylie chanted again and the Narbestians gasped as their memories came back.

They all looked at Rylie and grinned at her, bowing to her.

She looked at her subjects with guilt. She did this to them. "I'm sorry my people. I have failed you severely." She announced.

Shrphr walked over to the woman and they smiled. "You were a kid. What could you have done?"

Rylie was about to speak up until Shrphr hugged her.

"We forgive you," Shrphr told her.

Rylie teared up and hugged them back.

A few days later, everything was calm and collected. The townspeople had started up their old routine again, back at their first home.

The group was in the castle and chilling, they decided to take a few days off to get a breather, because, let's face it, that was a lot to take in.

Rylie charged into the throne room, holding up the two halves of the spear. Her fancy clothes and jewelry were gone.

"I just remembered how we can fix this!" She announced. "We have to go to Xapaetia. They have an orb -Myopic - that can recharge and repair Sapience! Come on!" She yelled running outside.

The group sighed. Not again. They all followed her outside and a huge carriage was waiting.

The group got in and their journey started up again.

After a few, excruciating hours, the group finally arrived.

Xapaetia was beautiful.

The group looked around in awe. Except for Rylie, she was used to the sight. After all, a good friend of hers was the Emperor here.

The carriage stopped at the foot of the castle steps and Rylie immediately started going up them.

The group, still worried, followed her immediately. It's probably safe to say that they aren't trusting Rylie around stairs.

Rylie was almost stopped by the guards, but they realized who it was and let her and the rest of the group enter.

"Hey! We need Myopic!" She yelled at someone who looked really fancy. The group just stared at her like they couldn't believe she was yelling at a person like this.

The person turned around and...

(I'm doing the full outfit, sue me.)

The group gaped. Cassemir?! What was he doing here?

Cassemir just shook his head with a slight smile. "Wow, you just got your memory and you immediately came here yelling at me."

Rylie just smirked. "Well, what else did you expect? Now, I need to fix Sapience. I need Myopic." She told him.

Cassemir nodded and went to go find it, leaving Rylie and the group in his throne room.

Narrator blinked. "Why's Cassemir here?" She asked Rylie. Narrator thought he was Rylie's ex or something.

Rylie shrugged. "He's the Emperor of Xapaetia. Was it not obvious? You saw us fighting in my memories." She asked them all.

The group pieced it together. Oh right, the boy Rylie fought when they were thirteen.

"I just thought he was your ex," Asra said, the group making noises of agreement.

Rylie's eyes widened. "Cassemir?! And me?! No! No! He was just checking in on me. He was the only one who knew who I was and he knew I had amnesia, so he would check up on Narbest from time to time." She explained.

The group 'ohed', but still thought that there might be something more to it. They were going to say as much until Cassemir came back holding an orb.

Rylie then brought out Sapience and held the two pieces together while Cassemir put the orb over the two pieces.

Flash of light and Sapience was back to normal. Cassemir then chanted a spell and Myopic disappeared. Rylie did the same thing with Sapience.

"Thank you Cassemir. We appreciate this. Now, we gotta go. Got a lot of worlds to see. You got a ship we can use?" She asked him. "And don't worry about my people; I left Shrphr in charge until I can come back." She added.

Cassemir held up a hand. "Yes, I do. However, I'm going with you." He told her.

Before Rylie could protest, Cassemir's clothes magically changed back into his adventure outfit.

"I'm also leaving Lea in charge." He told her with a cheeky smile.

Rylie just shook her head with an exasperated smile. "Well, we better get going then." She then motioned for Cassemir to lead the way and began following him.

The group blinked and followed them. This was an interesting planet, to say the least.

The group got on the ship, with everything they needed and their personal belongings.

They all settled down and all they needed now was for Cassemir to command the pilot to go.

"You all ready?" He asked the group.

The group nodded and everyone buckled up.

"Well, let's go then." He said and commanded the captain to take off.

The ship took off, leaving Edessa behind.

For now at least...
