Kim's pov

As Duncan and I scaled higher up the mountains I could feel my heart racing faster than normal. I suggested we build in a jungle but nooo. Duncan has to live in a mountain! We didn't even have armor for heavens sakes, just a couple of apples and our beds. As Duncan called down to me from his high perch he had reached I couldn't hear him.

"What!" I yelled up to him.

"Hawk!" He yelled, making me let go of the rock I had a grip on and jump. Sure enough a hawk swooped in to where I used to be leaving almost as soon as it came. At this point Duncan is trying to find a way to me while I cling for dear life onto a rock near my chin.

"Kim, take my hand!" Duncan yelled, finally making his way to me and holding his hands out. I couldn't! I wouldn't! How would I let go to grab his hands.

"No!" I screamed as I slipped farther down the rock.

"Come on Kim! Trust me!" Duncan yelled, kneeling in the dirt and keeping his hands outstretched.

"Ok!" I screamed, quickly letting go and grasping his gloved hands in my tiny purple ones.

"I think I'm gonna feint." Is all I could mutter before giving in to the darkness.

As I blinked my eyes, everything was white. The world around me seemed so cold and sterile compared to Duncan's Castle. As I blinked I saw Duncan at the edge of the bed, he wasn't in his lab coat though. He was in a blue sweatshirt and fleece pants with reddish pink slippered feet tapping the ground.

"Duncan?" I whispered getting his attention.

"What?!" Duncan replied, obviously worried about me.

"I trust you." I whispered before he lowered his lips gently onto mine.
