Leaning against the wall, you relaxed yourself as your friend Ruka faught against Jyugo.

Feeling eyes on you, your (e/c) hues glanced over to the side.

You locked eyes with Uno.

Smirking, you speak, "What's with the staring? Am I that pretty?"

He gritted his teeth, glaring at you irritated, "Shut up."

Oh how that just urged you. Your smile widened, "Pissed off at me huh? Why don't you come over here and fight me?" You challenged.

Ruka looked over his shoulder, "(L/n) stay back. I'm dealing with them."

"Buzz off Kappa." You clicked your tongue.

He only closed his eyes, calming himself before he got irritated with you.

Walking closer to Ruka, you whispered something in his ear.

Uno stared. "What's the secret now?" He asked himself.

Ruka nodded, before going back to his fight with Jyugo.

You moved back to the side.

"Why aren't you fighting?" Uno asked.

"I could ask you the same." You smiled smugly.

Clenching his fists, he glared at you harshly.

It surprised you a little. You've seen him upset before but not like this. Recovering from your shock, you smiled slyly, "Why so iratata?" You teased.

He replied, "As if you don't know traitor."

Ouch. That hurt.

When you first came to Nanba, you were scarred but hid it well. Then, you met Uno.

He was your friend.

The trust you two had, destroyed.

So easily too.

You work with Enki.

Closing your eyes, you continued to relax as the fight went on.

Uno grunted annoyed.

Looking over, Trois pushed his glasses up with his index and middle finger, "May I ask what your relation is with that girl?"

Honey looked over intrigued.

It took a moment, but Uno replied. All the while not taking his eyes off you, "She's just a friend. Well at least she used to be."

Honey looked over as well, "So a naughty girl?"

"She's not for you!" Uno shouted with a tick mark.

It happened fast but Jyugo had managed to counter Ruka's attack.

Your eyes widened.

Neither of your had time to move out of the way.

All you saw was a bright white and blue light, then everything became dark.

Eyebrows furrowing, you struggled to open your eyes.

Eyes staring up white blurriness, you adjusted you vision.

"You're awake." A voice said.

Looking over, you locked eyes with Uno.

"Uno..." You trailed off.

"How are you feeling?" He asked.

"Fine. Though I am kinda fuzzy on what happened. Where am I anyways?" You asked.

He smiled, "You're in the infirmary. You've been knocked out cold for the past month."

Gasping, you exclaimed, "A month!?"

He petted your head, helping to make you relax. "Yeah. I'm surprised you survived that much impact."

You relaxed into his touch.

It was quiet as you used the time to think back.

Your memory was a little fuzzy but you tried your best to recall anything at all that had to do with Enki. You knew that much at the moment.

The more you thought back and connected everything, the more your felt guilty and relieved.

Looking over at Uno, you gulp, "Hey Uno,"

"Hm?" He hummed, giving you his attention.

"We're you hurt at all? By Ruka?" You asked.

He shook his head, "No. Why?"

You smiled relieved, "No reason."

Closing your eyes, you thought to yourself, 'Thank you for not hurting him Ruru.' The memory of what you whispered to him during the battle came to mind.

"Can I ask you something?" Uno broke the silence.

Bring your gaze to him, you nodded.

"Why were you working with Enki. I'm sorry but I really am curious." He asked with a serious tone of voice.

You stared back at the ceiling.

You hestitated, but answered, "He promised me freedom. I've been chasing after it ever since I was little. But I only seem to be getting further away from it. So I agreed to work with him. He promised I would finally have freedom. I know it was a bad choice but...I had to take that leap of faith."

He grasped your hand, catching your attention.

He flashed a toothy smile at you, "What if you already have freedom? Think about it. You're happy in Nanba aren't you? With all of us? With me?"

Eyes widening, tears swelled in your eyes.

"It's you live happily, you win. That's what I think freedom means." He looked away, smiling as he stared out the window where Jyugo, Nico and Rock were playing around.

Blushing red, you hid under the blanket.

'Great. I love him more now.' You thought with a pounding heart.
