Mao was currently in a meeting with the supervisors. He often stood as a stand in for building 8's supervisor, despite being a deputy supervisor in building 2.

"How long are these meetings?" Ruka asks.

"Normally forty minutes. An hour at maximum. Ten minutes for basic reports. How do you not know this? Weren't you a guard at Nanba before that incident in the underground level?" You raised an eye brow.

"I was. However I never had to attend any of the meetings so I never knew how long they actually took." He says.

"Ah." You nod.

After the incident with Enki, Ruka was able to get his job back at Nanba.

With the help of Kiji of course.

It wasn't easy. Ruka was given multiple tasks to prove his loyalty and trust.

During that time period, yourself and Mao-already being best friends-often stuck with Ruka.

Even if you weren't allowed to help him out with his 'duties' you both still gave him hope to get going. Well you did. Mao just teased him a lot.

Even so, Ruka somehow made his way into yours and Mao's friendship, becoming apart of it. Not splitting it up, not being a nuisance. You actually enjoyed his company.

Within weeks the two of you became the three of you. A few months after that, Ruka got his job back as an official guard at Nanba. Which resulted in a huge celebrating the three of you had.

"How does he not complain about being in their so long? Knowing him, he'd be bored quickly." Ruka asks bored.

"Honestly, even I don't know. I guess he just likes being in the room with all the other supervisors. In a way, he sort of looks up to them." You shrug.

Then, the doors to the Wardens meeting office opened and out came the guards.

Both yourself and Ruka stood up, walking over to Mao.

"Finally." You stretch.

"That took forever." Ruka comments, stretching along with you.

"Sorry. I actually have to head to the break room to discuss a few things with the other guards. Wardens orders." He wave stop both off, walking with the other guards to the break room.

You pout, "He's always busy."

"It's my birthday. He promised." Ruka sulked.

You then smirk.

"Ruka~" You said in a silky voice.

Ruka stops growing mushrooms and looks over at you, "Yes?"

He noticed the glint in your eyes and smirks back, "I can't believe we're going to do this."

The guards were chatting in the break room. They had to discuss a few things about the upcoming tournament.

"Try not to kill your inmates Hajime-senpai." Mao comments.

Hajime just rolls his eyes, "No promises."

Then, the door slammed open and in came (Y/n). She had a crazed look in her eyes. Her hair was a mess, her uniform was wrinkled, and she was breathing heavily.

"Mao." She grabs his shoulder.

Mao looked at her a bit shocked. Never had he seen her look so....so insane.

"Why do you look like you were hit by a truck nya?"

Just then, Ruka came running in.

He stopped by (Y/n). He looked to be in the same state she is in.

"I hate dumpster trucks." Mao sweat drops at Ruka's comment.

You then looked up at the supervisors, showing a fake smile. Some looked at you worriedly, some looked amused, some looked....scared?

"I'm really sorry for just barging in like this but I have to steal Mao from you guys. It's important." You say.

Mao just looks at you confused. Ruka quickly chimed in,

"Remember Mao....we uh....have that goldfish. We need to walk the...goldfish....yeah that's it. Now come on. If we don't walk him then he will be mad. No one likes a barking goldfish."

Mao sweat drops at Ruka's lame excuse.

Before anyone can answer, Ruka and yourself beat them to it, "Were taking Mao now! Bye!"

You grabbed the car guard by the collar and ran out of the break room.

....

"Walking the goldfish?" Samon repeats.

"Barking goldfish?" Kenshirou asks.

"....those three are just...weird." Hajime comments.

"Every excuse they make, it involves a goldfish." Kiji sweat drops.
