Hitting the concrete wall, your body plopped to the ground.

Seeing black dots, you blinked a couple of times, to adjust.

Using will power, you forced yourself to push yourself off the ground.

Glaring at the tall male, you growled, "Gokuu!"

Standing up, Mao looked towards the door.

He got stuck watching over big sister Noriko, after finding her passed out in the middle of the halls.

"I swear I heard something." He mumbled to himself.

Hearing shuffling, the cat guard turns around to see Noriko shifting around in her sleep.

"Enki." She mumbled with a smile.

Eyes widening in interest, he questions to himself, "Enki?"

Hearing a familiar voice, Mao followed it to his girlfriend.

"It's called getting caught Gokuu." You rolled your eyes at the supervisor.

Enki just continued walking, completely ignoring you.

"Be sure to finish the paperwork! It's my ass she's beating if you don't do your job!" You shouted after him.

"Nya. You seem stressed." Mao walked over, his tails swaying behind him.

Turning around, you sighed, "What was your first hint?"

"So what's wrong?" Mao grabbed your hand with his paw. Pulling you along, he lead you out of buidling 5, towards building 2.

"I just found out my brother got arrested for making illegal drugs." You sigh dissapointed.

"You used to work in the pharmaceutical industry. Maybe that's just his way of getting involved." Mao shrugged.

"I had to sell drugs, he makes them." You replied bluntly.

Swaying his free paw around, Mao shrugs, "And that's why you work good as a team nya."

You two continued to chat. What he saw earlier, it bugged him.

"He was holding a file with her name on it." He mumbled to himself.

Charging at the older brother, you swinged your scythe.

"I hate you!" You screamed at Enki.

Everything happened so fast. Time just stopped. You saw everything.

Gasping, you brought a hand to the blade in your gut.

He got ahold of your weapon last second, using it against you.

Your life seemed to flash before your eyes.

This time, you noticed the things you had missed.

The hints that Enki was slowly going insane with power. The hints that his main target was you. You saw how you were getting closer to discovering his goals. He panicked and did everything in his will to find any information about you. That night he killed an inmate? He had thought it was a guard. He had thought it was you.

"Mao...." You grasped out.

You saw him. He was right behind Enki. He smiled at you.

As everything dissappeared, your boyfriend dissapeared.

Getting bored, Mao digged in his pocket, fishing out a little box.

Opening the small, veil box, he admired the beautiful ring. It was the colour of your birthstone. He went through great lengths to get an engagement ring like this.

"One day, you'll be my wife." He smiled.

You were broken, shattered, laying helpless amd dead on the ground.

Yet his smiled bright.

Completely blind to what happened in building 5.
