Chapter thirty-two: Facing hell

(Y/n) walked through the halls with Zakuro and Ikakku behind her. They were much more willing to follow her now. She had placed her mask and jacket back on, the long sleeves covered her hands up.
"Hey, Yuki, are ya going to watch me fight?," Ikakku asked.
The cold bodied woman looked back at him, "Please don't call me that."
"Why not?," Ikakku asked.
"Only people I'm really close to are allowed to call me that.," she answered.
Ikakku gave a smirk, "Fuck that. I'm calling you Yuki."
The blue and pink haired woman sighed and kept walking with the two.
"Are you going to watch one of us fight?," Zakuro asked.
"If I have to.," (y/n) replied, "But, if I'm completely honest, I hate fighting and conflict. I like peace."
The icy therapist kept walking until she saw some other guards running up to her.
"Miss Yukinohana, we're here to take 396 and 1111 to where they will go.," one said.
She looked back to the two.
"No. Just take 396. I'll personally take 1111 to where he needs to go. I want to talk to him a little more.," the young woman replied.
She unlatched the handcuffs Zakuro wore from the lead and gave it to the guards, "Take good care of him."

"Yes, miss Hana!," the two guards spoke in unison before walking off with Zakuro.
The inmate's silver eyes looked back at her and Ikkaku as he walked away. The icy therapist waved goodbye to him. She felt Ikkaku move and looked to see the inmate was throwing a double bird to his fellow inmate. He got an elbow nudge from the therapist, his pink eyes looked down to her masked face.
"Ikkaku. Let's go.," the young woman spoke and turned to walk.
"I'll try to not kill Musashi.," the electric man grumbled, "No promises."
"So that means that Jyugo is facing Zakuro.," (y/n) sighed, "Why is there a need to fight in the first place?"
"I don't know. But I don't feel right about sitting on my ass all day.," the blond man behind her answered.
"You're very energetic. I can see why it is hard for you to keep still.," (y/n) mused.
Ikkaku sped up to walk right beside her, "What was it that you wanted to talk about?"
"Your friend. What is he like?," the icy woman inquired.
"Really fucking happy. I don't think I've ever seen him upset for a long period of time, he cries then goes back to being all smiles.," Ikkaku spoke.
His pink eyes cut to her as they got into a prisoner transport vehicle.
The icy woman looked at the frost that covered her fingertips, "How does he know me?"
"How does he know you?," Ikkaku echoed and looked at the woman, "I don't think I was listening to him at that point, either that or we were insanely drunk."

"Is your liver okay?," this question made Ikkaku look at her with an irritated and confused expression.
"Why the hell are you concerned about that?," the blond inmate asked with a face of disgust and confusion, "Do you really expect me to believe you actually care about inmates."
"Believe me or not, this is part of my job here.," the young woman answered cooly, her blue and pink hair following behind her as she walked. Her boots tapped on the ground and Ikkaku's feet padded as they walked to the area where he was going to fight Musashi. Ikkaku's eyes looked to the ribbon in her hair, it looked like a flower and had bloodstains on it.
"Why don't you get a new ribbon, Yuki?," He asked her.
"Because, this one is special.," (y/n) answered, "This one is the one I always wore when I saw Shiro."
"You're a dumbass.," He scoffed and felt his cheek be pulled by the smaller female.
"You're vulgar.," the young lady retorted. They climbed a set of stairs to the top of a building, where the arena was.
'Almost there...,' the cold bodied woman thought to herself, 'I never thought I would participate in something like this. Especially after escaping from it.'
Her foot hit the top step and she was faced with the door that opened to an expansive rooftop.

Musashi and Kenshiro were already there. As was Hitoshi and the dog guards of building four. She heard a menacing chuckle come from her prisoner as Kenshiro watched her unlock Ikkaku's cuffs.
"You made them a little tight, Yuki.," Ikkaku scoffed.
"Zip it. I had to get you here, at least I was not rough.," The therapist shot back.
Ikkaku had a grin on his face that looked like trouble, "Perhaps you should have been rough, I might have liked it better."
(Y/n) rolled her eyes and saw Kiji walk out of the door she came from. "I'm here to help watch the battle.," the pheasant guard spoke as his canary yellow eyes looked over to the new inmate, "Hm. Not bad."
(Y/n) nudged Ikkaku, "Go on. Let's get this over with. I'll make you a melon soda the way you want afterwards."
"I'm going to hold you to that promise, Yuki.," Ikkaku smirked and stepped forward to introduce himself to Musashi.
The therapist walked over to the other guards as the two inmates introduced themselves.
"Hey there, Kiji-nii, Kenshiro-san.," The young woman chimed.
"Hello Hana-Chan~," Kiji chimed, "I hope you were not too scared with that handsome looking brute."
"He's fine. A bit vulgar and energetic, but fine.," the cold woman responded, "He actually already knew about me, he said a friend of his told him about me."
"Small world.," Kenshiro said and watched the scene unfold.

Ikkaku was trying to provoke Musashi, speaking taunts that only someone who really knew Musashi would know to use. Musashi was keeping a firm stance that he did not want to fight and he wanted to have a peaceful life in Nanba. This made Ikkaku scoff,
"Seriously? You let all that power go to waste? The one who kicked my ass, what happened to your fighting spirit?"
They knew each other.
"I'm not like that anymore, Ikkaku.," Musashi said, "Besides it's not like I can. They put a chip in me to supress my ability."
The blind man held a wooden sword beside him like it was a cane.
"What a load of crap. You taught me the importance of power and fighting!," the blond inmate spat, "If you don't want to fight, then I'll just have to make you fight!"
Kiji felt the hand of the cold bodied therapist grip his sleeve.
"We'll make sure both of them come out of this alive, we're here to supervise and ensure safety.," the pheasant guard spoke with a smile on his violet lips.
(Y/n)'s masked eyes looked to the inmates as her respirator hissed. Ikkaku and Musashi were still arguing at their stances on the fight. Ikkaku was still trying to spur Musashi to attack him with insults, Musashi was steadfast. It was only after Ikkaku punched when Musashi reacted. Hitoshi was trying to mediate, he was not really affected by the punch. But Ikkaku punched Hitoshi again, sending the young guard flying and knocking him unconscious. (Y/n) went to check on Hitoshi and found a nasty bump on his head under the blond wig he wore. She took off her glove and placed her hand on the bump to soothe it with her ambient temperature.

Musashi was scolding Ikkaku for bringing Hitoshi into this, Ikkaku did not care.
He was laughing, "Damn kid is durable!"
This was making Musashi angry, he and Hitoshi were pretty good friends.
"That's enough Ikkaku!," (y/n) scolded.
Her cry came too late as Ikkaku unleashed his real power, grabbing Musashi's head and releasing a powerful electrical discharge from his hands to try and fry the chip that was in Musashi's head. The tanned man stumbled back, he had a hard time standing up. The icy therapist set Hitoshi down, taking off her uniform jacket and folding it up to put under the unconscious guard's head she unhooked her respirator and set it aside. The therapist got between the inmates, even against orders from the other guards.
"That's enough, Ikkaku.," she scolded, "This won't go anywhere. Musashi made his point clear."
(Y/n) turned to see Musashi still holding his head, heat radiated off of him.
"Don't turn your back on him, Hana!," Musashi yelled, "He's dangerous!"
That warning came late as the clawed hands of Ikkaku grabbed the device that replaced her spine and unleashed a massive discharge into her, he tossed her aside once he felt he had incapacitated her. The icy therapist was thrown into a wall and fell to the ground with a sharp impact. Kiji went to see if she was okay. The pheasant guard saw that she was stunned by the discharge and impact, but she was alive. A clicking sound came from the device on her spine. The clicking was replaced with a metallic hum.
"Oh sweetheart, Kyubii-san would hate to see the state you are in.," the feminine man said.
Ikakku was still laughing at Musashi, "Are you mad enough yet? I just hurt that kid and the woman! I know they are important to you! Get mad, get angry, fight me!"
Electricity sparked around Ikkaku as he cackled, his power was shown.

(Y/n) felt sick and dizzy from being attacked by Ikkaku, she had trusted him to behave and he betrayed her by attacking her. She really believed that they could have been friends. She could barely hear Ikkaku laughing or Kiji talking to her over the ringing in her ears. Her body felt like it was getting even colder, a hum seemed to make her very bones vibrate. Her eyes were blurry, she could see fuzzy blobs around her. Colorful fuzzy blobs. Her body and brain felt fried. She felt tired yet energized. Kiji's voice was unclear to her, yet she saw him get up when a bright light flashed before them. Something was no right. A feeling of pure dread washed over (y/n). A feeling similar to one she felt years ago. Her muscles felt weak as she tried to get up. The whirring on her back getting louder and louder. The heat of the air around her disappeared when she finally had complete control of her muscles back.
When her eyes saw sharply again, she saw why she sensed a dreadful energy. Elf himself was there, as was others who followed him. The twins that her father was investigating were also there. Ido and Mei. That doctor was there as well. The around them grew cold and the moisture in the air created a mist. (Y/n) did not think, she threw ice shards through the mist and charged forward to attack. Her icy kick was blocked by one of the men that Elf brought with him. Moisture seemed to flow around him, he was taking control of her mist! His body was covered in a scale patterned cloak. From the darkness of the hood, (y/n) saw glowing yellow dots.

She clawed at the man with the ice that had formed on her fingertips and kicked with her other foot to get him to let go of her. She was able to assess the situation quickly. Elf was there to take Ikkaku. Even though he acted like a bastard, she was not going to let him be taken away by Elf to be experimented on again. She saw Elf point at her, "That one too." She stepped back and felt something pull at her, she saw small threads that was attached her her. She swiped her ice covered fingers to cut through the threads. The threads were attached to one of the people that came with Elf, a young man with spider legs growing from his forehead. (Y/n) felt her mask be tugged off of her face and cold air wash over her cheeks. The spider was surprised to see the mask in his hands.
The therapist knew she had to be careful around these people. They had powers like her, like Musashi, like Jyugo! The big guy who caught her attack before reached again for her, moisture around them swirled as each struggled for supremacy of who would control it. Her attention had to be split between him, the spider and now Ido. Avoiding the threads of the spider, use her ice to keep Ido at bay and struggle to get moisture to use from the cloak wearing one. She felt the burning sensation of heat and moved out of the way as Musashi released a fireball. The blind fire user was fighting to help defend Nanba from these invaders, he was also wanting to save Ikkaku from Elf. Ikkaku had been knocked out of comission by Mei.

The blue and pink haired young woman landed on the ground and jumped up again to roll across Ido's back as he attempted to grab her in her distraction. It was like the servants of hell was unleashed on Nanba. These powerful beings that desired using humans as test subjects as means to their ends. (Y/n) was feeling this supercharge of cold, supercharged ever since she had been hit by Ikkaku's electricity.
The man in the cloak who she was struggling to get moisture from removed his cloak and used the water he tore from (y/n)'s control to block Musashi's flames, "Glad to see you've grown since last time, Musashi! Remember me? It's Kojiro!"
The familiar voice of the man caught the therapist off guard.
"I hope you don't mind, but Yuki is coming home now.," this Kojiro spoke, "Thanks for looking after her for us!"
In her distraction, she was gripped tightly by Kojiro. She looked up to the man who held her in a strong grip. Blue hair that dropped to just below his ears, some things that sruck up like shark fins. Pale skin that had red shark gill like markings just below his eyes, on his forehead and shoulders. His eyes had black sclera and yellow irises.
(Y/n)'s supercharge felt like it was wearing off and the ice on her body was turning red from her own blood. She felt a sharp strike to her head from Ido and she fell forward onto Kojiro.

His hands did not burn her. They were warm. They did not hurt.
