Chapter Thirty-three: In hell

The mood in the warden's office was grin as Kiji and Kenshiro gave their report. Their therapist, (y/n) had been taken by Elf and his group. Warden Momoko had to give the announcement to the other guards. The blue haired woman let the two supervisors leave after they gave their reports. Kenshiro returned to his building as Kiji went to building thirteen. He had to tel Hajime. The colorful supervisor found Hajime and his inmates of cell 13 walking back to their cell.
"Huh? What are you doing here?," Hajime asked, "I though you were with the dog and Yukinohana."
Kiji's face hardened, "About that... I regret to inform you this, But (y/n) and 1111 have been kidnapped."
"What?! Something happened to Hana-chan?!," Uno asked with great worry. Nico piped up as well, "Is that why it got cold all of a sudden?!"
"Who would have the gall to kidnap someone from Nanba prison? You guys are supposed to be the greatest security enforcers in the world!," the pink and blond haired brit piped up again.
Their conversations stopped when Jyugo spoke, "It was Elf, wasn't it?"
The pheasant guard nodded, "He and nine others came and took them."
"This 1111 guy, he was another one like (y/n) and Jyugo, right?," Rock asked.
"He was. He was a brute and attacked (y/n), shocking her with electricity, right on her spine.," Kiji answered, "Poor girl, she must be so scared."

"There's nothing we can do now. She's gone.," Hajime said and walked forward, "Thanks for telling me this, now I have to clean out her office."
Kiji left to go back to his building.
"That was pretty damn heartless, Hajime.," Uno commented.
Hajime scoffed and pointed to their cell once they got to it, "Get in there and stay in there."
The four inmates obeyed, they were kind of exhausted after what happened that day. Jyugo flopped onto the futon after he laid it out, he was exhausted, he did not have the stamina to fight for a long period. The other three were quiet and tense, after what they had seen, what they had heard, they had a lot on their mind.
They had seen another inmate similar to Jyugo, instead of blades, this inmate had drills. He seemed to be better than Jyugo in many ways. Uno broke the silence.
"Hey, Jyugo. Do you think that Hana-chan will be okay?," the brit asked.
"I don't know. She's tough, but so are other experiments like us. You saw how Zakuro was today.," the Japanese teen sighed.
"I'm going to miss her. She was very nice and helpful.," Nico whined.
Rock nodded, "I feel better about my past after talking to her."
"A lot of people will miss her. Especially the supervisor of building nine. She was dating him.," Uno added, "We won't be able to visit her anymore if we had a bad day."
"She'll come back.," Nico whined, "she has to."
"I'm afraid that Elf won't allow that. She and I are experiments he seems fond of.," Jyugo interjected, "He wanted us back for so long. I don't think he'll let her go since he has her."

The air became quiet and tense once more.

------

A hiss of oxygen and the beeping of a heart monitor greeted (y/n) as she woke. Her eyes looked around and tried to determine where she might be. White walls, white ceiling, white sheets. No charming patterns on the wall, no flowers or decor, just white. White and clean. Sterile. She saw she was hooked up to several machines. The icy woman tried to sit up and found that she was handcuffed to the hospital bed she lay in. She could not even move her legs. She pulled at the handcuffs on her wrists, the metal clattered against the frame of the bed she lay on. She was not up to full strength. Her eyes looked over to the IV next to the bed. The drip was a mixture of nutrients and anesthesia. Most likely to keep her from hurting herself by trying to get out of the cuffs.
The oxygen mask that was on her face had cold oxygen going into her lungs. The heart monitor beeped and the oxygen hissed. Almost masking the sounds of footsteps. Someone was coming. The cold woman knew she would not be able to feign unconsciousness because of the heart monitor. She looked towards the ceiling again as the door opened. Out of the corner of her eye, (y/n) saw the figure of a large man walk in.
"You're awake.," he murmured and checked the IV, "The drip froze. That is what allowed you to wake up. Ice is a troublesome ability to study."

(Y/n) heard the handcuffs click as they were unlocked. She saw the man, it was not Elf. This man had white hair and a mask on. There was a scar on his neck, this was the one who modified her and attached the device to her! He put the shackles on Jyugo! He messed with Musashi's body! The icy young woman was forced to roll over once she was released from her restraints. This man was examining the device he put on her.
"It's in perfect condition. I thought this would be dented or scratched, yet you took excellent care of it, even cleaning it properly.," the man spoke, "And it's on. Must have been turned on when Ikkaku gave you a shock."
The cold bodied woman felt his hands poke around the device that was on her, embedded in her and replacing her spine. She did not know if he was talking directly to her or muttering notes to himself as he worked.
His hands were hot, the touch burned against her skin. The young woman was uncomfortable with him poking into the device like she was a machine getting a tune up. She heard the sound of more footsteps and the door opening again.
The voice of another man spoke, "Oh, you're in here. I was going to check on the patient and the IV."
"The IV is frozen, Isou. She's awake now.," the man in the mask spoke and nudged the woman he was working on, "roll on your stomach, arms crossed in front of you."
The blue and pink haired young woman obeyed, she did not have much energy to fight back from the anesthesia still in her body.

She did not look at the two with her, but she felt the device on her back being poked at.
"All of the systems are at full power. It is working extremely well.," the masked man spoke as he prodded at the systems inside the device with special tools.
The blue haired man beside him watched and checked the heart monitor.
'Creeps.,' (y/n) scoffed internally.
She felt her fingertips get heavy again as ice formed on them, Like little fingertip claws she had seen in ninja movies. Her floral pink eyes rimmed with blue cut to at the doctor. It was Isou, the man who should have been dead, yet was alive and had not aged at all.
The doctor made a shiver, "It is colder here. But that happens with ice power, right?"
The doctor had a friendly face on, but (y/n) already knew he was a cruel snake. His face had a smile on it as he looked to the young woman being examined by the masked man with the scar, she looked away from him and closed her eyes.
She hoped for her ocean spirit friend to come visit her once they went away. She missed her friend. Her friend that smelled like the ocean and had hands that did not hurt her. If only she knew how to call out to him. He was pleasant to talk to and kind. She felt the device on her back whirring again as the scarred man pressed something.
"That should stabilize it now.," The man said and got up, "You were hit hard by Ido, our doctor here will give you an examination to check if there is any damage."
The man with the scar left after he stood. Only the Chinese man and the young woman was left.

"I need you to sit up and face me.," Isou spoke in a tone that seemed pleasant, hiding who he really was.
She did not get up fast as he wanted and kept her eyes from looking at him.
"Charming fighting spirit. But I have to warn you that I can find ways around your icy defenses.," the blue haired doctor spoke with cruelty in his red eyes.
This forced her to look forward and face him, his expression changed to a pleasant one as soon as she turned to him.
'You really like to wear that mask, don't you?,' (y/n) thought to herself as Isou checked her pupils and her reflexes, testing to see of there was any damage from when Ido hit her.
"Any medical conditions that I should know?," Isou asked, "Anything that is from your modifications?"
"Not related to the ice. Narcolepsy.," the young woman answered.
Isou looked at the scabbed over cut on her forehead, "Let me guess, that is from falling asleep and hitting your head on something."
(Y/n) made a small nod.
"Interesting. Narcolepsy is going to be an annoying condition to get around, especially since it is random or triggered by stress.," the Chinese man smiled as he wrote the information into a file, "But I think we can find a way."
The icy woman looked down, her medical information pendant hung next to her friendship medallion half.
Isou noticed the medical information pendant and picked it up to read, "This just makes it easy for me now. Your blood type, medical conditions and everything else is on this."

The cold bodied woman bit her tongue, she would have snapped at him and put herself in danger if she made him mad.
"Awfully quiet. Where is that scathing tongue?," the doctor asked, "What happened to the threat of putting my head on a frozen pike?"
His tone was lighthearted, like he was tying to get a rise out of the young woman. She gripped the sheets and made herself not respond.
"Your own power betrays your silence, you are absolutely furious.," the doctor chuckled and pointed to the wall behind the young woman.
She looked back and saw it was covered in ice. She did not remember threatening anyone. She did not remember what happened, she only remembered the pain, the procedure and the last time she saw Shiro.
"Are you still mad at us for improving you and your boyfriend?," the doctor asked, "Even when we sacrificed the chance to study you two together to let you go out and get stronger after your boyfriend begged us to? Shiro would be sad."
(Y/n) kicked her foot as a knee-jerk reaction to him mentioning Shiro.
Isou leaned to the side and avoided her kick, "There it is. That fighting spirit. I guess I hit a nerve there."
Isou looked like he was pleased with this reaction. The icy young woman curled her legs to her chest and went quiet as the air became even colder.
"I did hit a nerve.," Isou chuckled and got up, "Get up."
His red eyes saw hers harden and she shook her head.
He extended his hand out, "Come on. We're not experimenting on you this time. We already gathered much data from watching you."
A faint floral scent came from the outstretched hand.

He saw she was not following, "I'll leave you here if you don't follow."
(Y/n) saw his smile again and he retracted it. The doctor turned to leave. The blue and pink haired young woman pulled the IV out of her arms and took the sensors off of her body.
"I'll have to lock you in here until tomorrow if you don't follow.," Isou smiled.
"Why does it matter?," the woman asked.
"You do have a voice.," The Chinese man spoke, "It matters because someone wants to see you again."
"Why should I believe you? You killed my family amd my best friend.," the young woman replied, "I'm not going anywhere."
"Well, too bad. You're going to miss dinner.," the doctor spoke and left.
He turned the lights out and the machines off first, leaving her in the dark. She had not eaten at all since that morning. The door clicked as it was locked. She did not hear footsteps leave for a little while, almost like he was waiting for her to change her mind. He finally left. She was alone again. The light that filtered under the door was the only thing that kept the room from being totally dark.
(Y/n) shakily git up and touched the ice covered wall, her ice had covered another wall. She had to keep herself from getting too stressed, triggering her Narcolepsy in a place like this was dangerous. She wondered if Ikkaku was okay. She longed to see her ocean spirit friend again.

Isou walked down the hall. He saw the figure of the tall blue haired Kojiro.
"Is Yuki up, is she okay?," the blue haired shark like man asked.
"She's stubborn and defensive.," Isou smiled to the man, "But I think that you might be able to change her mind. Especially since you two are connected."
Kojiro looked at the medallion half he held, "Tomorrow then."
The shark like man made a big grin, "I can do it. After all. She's my best friend!"
