Nana's POV

I got home very sad and angry at myself.
What have I done?
Why do I sometimes find it hard to control my anger?
It's just so annoying cause I knew that she was trying to get to me and I gave in.
I'm ashamed of myself.........am I?
No she deserved it..next time, she will learn to stop her mouth from over flowing.

Good afternoon I hear my boss greet when I walked in.

I begin to mentally sing
🎶 Heavenly lord you are wonderful 🎶 in my head.
What is doing my boss today that he is even greeting me first....

Afternoon sir I replied then started walking towards my room.

I hear him clear his throat before he says..
"I need you to come down stairs as soon as you change"
We're having lunch together.

Wait what?
Are you kidding me?
My stomach began to grumble by making some silly loud noice.

I hold my stomach then begin to talk....arrgh like seriously?
You start to make noice immediately you hear food.... food?no lunch
What do people eat at lunch?
Food yes food.
Was I really this hungry?I didn't know.

Are you talking to me?I hear him ask.
Errr no I'll just go change I replied before running up to my room.

Few minutes later,I get to the table and I quietly sit down opposite my boss but avoided any eye contact.
He wasn't smiling either....I hope this goes down well.

He stands up, serves the food and keeps my own plate of Jollof rice and plantain in front of me.
This really smells good I hope it tastes good too.

He sits back then picks his phone and begins to tap while ignoring me.
Few seconds later he drops his phone,then places both of his hands on the table.
He looks at me then says the worst thing ever.
"EAT".

Are you kidding me?
EAT?that's it.....
I'm not a puppy for crying out loud I mentally complain cause I dare not say that to his hearing.

He should just be sitting there and watch me it eat I don't care cause right now,I'm famished.

I pick up the spoon and begin to feed myself.
I utterly and completely forgot that I was sitting opposite someone who watched me eat .
The food tasted yummy and delicious that I didn't lift my head for once until I was done.

I took the glass of water beside me and gulped down all the content until I felt full.
I was shocked when I kept the cup just to find my boss in the same position he was before I started to eat his eyes still on me.

Did you buy this food?I ask him.
No I cooked it he replied with a little smile appearing on his face.

I was going to compliment, but I've changed my mind I tell him.

Why?
I think I know why.
It's because I cook better than you.
You don't have to tell me that I'm a good cook he says.

Hmm your wife is going to be lucky.
Who taught you how to cook?I ask and as soon as the question escaped from my lips, the expression on his face changed.
I saw a flash of pain but it didn't last cause he shoved it aside and replied...it doesn't matter.

We both Started laughing after my last sentence.
Did I just make Mr my boss James laugh?
I stopped laughing and kept watching him laugh.
I've never seen him so engrossed in his own laughter.
Was what I said that funny?...I don't think so.
Anyways he doesn't have dimples but damn it...he looks so beautiful when laughing.
Did I say beautiful?yes handsome is too little to describe what I mean.
He looks adorable.
I wish I could see this side of him every day.

That's my girl he says before getting to his feet.
I guess we're done here

I begin to clear the table....up before I start to talk to myself.
I like the way he spoke to me.
No shouting...no yelling just a plain but short conversation.
I really meant it when I promised not to do it again.
This would not have gone well with my mum ooooo cause she will be like....

Now it's just me, Adams and the dogs.

I had started drifting away when a knock on my door made me jolt back to life.

I was shocked to see Juliana standing at my door with a bag in her hands.

What are you doing here I asked with confusion written on my face.

I'm here to spend the weekend she replied.

Why did you not tell me? I asked.

That's why it's called a surprise sweetheart she replied.
