I woke up to the sound of a soft knock on my door.......
Wait the sun is out already???
Oh no I was supposed to be up since 5am so as to help my mum
Clean up the compound and make breakfast..ohh Lord what made me sleep for Soo long.
Nana are you there? the voice brought me back to my senses
Ahhhh yes mum I answered
I gently got up from where I was
an straight to the door I went.
"Good morning mum" I greeted.instead of replying morning as usual,she greeted me with a beautiful smile.i couldn't help it
I smiled back.
"Nana I don't mean to bother you
due to what happened yesterday,
I thought maybe you must have been stressed out sooo,I allowed you enjoy your sleep.i made sure Nina and Mima don't disturb you also".
"Thanks mum"I  replied.
"Emmmmmmmmm !!any ways, that's not the reason why I am here" mum said.ohhhhh! "so why are you here!,I asked.

"Mum can you stop staring at me and tell me why you are here?"
"Nana you have grown into a beautiful young lady,just like yesterday, you were born my first beautiful baby girl but now
Take a look at yourself.. your just so beautiful.hmmmmmm
But Nana you know I won't be here for ever.Nana you need to further your Education.you need to work hard and set a very good
example for your younger sisters.hope you know that they look up to you?"yes Mama "I replied.
"Nana I love all of you"
"My mother said.i don't care if you are males or females.
Children are a blessing from God.

I and my mom were already soaked in tears.i didn't even realize that I had been crying until she wiped my tears with her hands."hush! BBY girl enough of the crying"
I started laughing with no reason.
There you go my girl....aha beautiful girls don't cry my mum said."l love you mum I said hugging her.i love you too my dearest."

"Now to what am actually here for
My mum said.you see, your uncle

I said recalling who she is talking about.its been long since he came visiting.i have even started forgetting what he looks like ooo
"So what about him mum!.
Yes my mum said.he came visiting.
"He has gone to the neighborhood to say hi to some old friends."
"okay! I said.so what is it mama. "Nana,we have discussed with your uncle,
He said you can go together with him when he is leaving...."
"Mummy wait!" I said.
"mummy what do you mean...?"
"hmmm!! Nana you have to go back to Gombe with your uncle you know,he lives with his family in Gombe."
"Mum you mean you want me to go and stay with uncle Joe's family in Gombe?"I asked.
"Yes now Nana why are you behaving as if you don't understand simple English any longer,"my mum said.
"But what if I don't want to mum?"I asked.
"Well,if you don't want to go back to Gombe with your uncle it simply means you are ready to get married to the man your father has suggested for you.
Is that what you want?"
"No mama that's not what I want I replied."
"Nana I am your mother all I ever want for you,is for you to be happy I would never deliberately do anything to hurt you I love you and I want the best for you
I don't want you to end up like me I want you to pursue your dreams with all the strength you have do you understand?"
"yes I understand you mum."Good girl!
"You have enough time to prepare you are leaving in three days time.make sure you arrange your things carefully I'll get you a portable bag when I get to the market later" my mum said while turning to take her leave.

"Emmmm mum!"yes she answered turning around.
"for how long will I be gone?"I asked.
"Nana it all depends on you
If it were for me,I would have loved you not to go at all but you see,I have to let you go.Its for your own good after all you have been in this village for long.
You need to go see other parts of the world."my mum said.
"Okay! mum" was all I said with my head down as I walked to my room later mum.later baby your breakfast is in the kitchen.
"see you later" she yelled.

I sat on the steps in front of my
room.i know my sister's have gone to school already.
I miss the two idiots with me,we make the three idiots.anywas,we are not idiots.just that my sister's are really fun to be with I don't know if I can stand being without them.ohhhhh God give me the strength to do this........wait oooo
What does this Gombe look like seffff.i have been hearing about Gombe Gombe Gombe..
It's not as if I have ever been to anywhere apart from my village.My village is the only place I know too well.when I say am from mambilla some people will think I mean mambilla platue.  I can say yes because my village is close to mambilla and the name of the village was taken from there though I can't say if my village has another name .Mambilla plateu is really  a place for sight seing though....it is located in Taraba state.

I have read about many states in books i need to go see for myself Time to leave home Nana.
Gombe here I come.
