Nana's POV.

I woke up to the sound of movements in the house.
I lazily got off the bed,strode out of my room and dragged my feet towards the kitchen while yawning and muttering profanities.

I almost lost balance when I saw my boss frying eggs on the gas cooker burner.
I pinched myself to ensure that I wasn't dreaming but yours truly I wasn't.

I quickly ran towards him and greeted Good morning sir please let me do it I said as I made to take the pan out of his hands.

No no no I can handle this just let me do it he replied.
No sir let me do it
It's my job I replied as we both held the pan.

He turned his whole body while facing me.
Go and have your bath baby doll or else you will be late for school came his raspy voice.

I was still standing there when he held my shoulders and lead me out of the kitchen.
Go he said while motioning with his hands for me to move.

Okay I give up....I sighed then started walking towards my room.
What's up with this grumpy guy this morning?I asked myself.

What?I heard him say.
Errr I wasn't talking to you sir I said before running upstairs.

I sang happily as I took my shower...I just feel happy today.
I feel good you know...
I feel nice.

After dressing up and getting ready for my second day at school,I grabbed my school bag and ran downstairs.

I met Julian and Chelsea sitting at the dinning table with each a plate of bread and scrambled eggs with a cup of hot tea seating on the table.

Good morning I greeted them both and was about to move to the kitchen.

Where are you going?
My boss asked me.
To the kitchen I replied.
To do what?he asked me.
To errr......I stuttered.
Come and join us we are having breakfast together he told me.

I walked back to the table and sat down on the empty chair beside my boss.
He took a plate and surprisingly,he served me too.
Enjoy your break fast he said when he finished serving me.

Everyone was now eating except for me.
Why are you not eating your food?my boss asked me.
I'm just used to praying before eating sir I replied.
Ohh that he said while dropped his cutlery just as Julian and Chelsea did the same.

I said a quick prayer and then we all ate together.
Chelsea glare at me when she noticed me eating with my hands.

What now?
It's just bread and egg
When will I stay and be using cutlery when I have hands... that's a waste of time.
This is not rice and chicken this is bread for God's sake.
I cannot come and be forming fake life just allow me to do what I'm used to.

I quickly cleared the table when we were done on purpose cause I couldn't bear seeing my boss do that anymore.

The bell for assembly was rung just as we arrived school.
I almost lost balance when someone grabbed my school bag from my shoulders.
I turned to see that it was one of the twins.
Don't worry I'll take your bag to class for you just move to the assembly ground before the staff on duty starts to chase people up and down she said as she ran to towards the class with our school bags.

The principal was making her speech when Ss3 boys and girls started making noice.

Hey SS2 all of you should kneel down came the voice of the staff on duty.
We all knelt down not without some of us grumbling and hissing.

After the assembly,the Staff on duty came towards where we were kneeling down.
Now I want you people to point out those of you that were making noice or else I will give each of you four strokes of cane this morning he said as he swung the engine belt he was holding.

Since none of you is going to talk,I'll start flogging he said as he was about to lay the belt on the first victim.

No sir please don't flog I pleaded.
It was the Ss3 that were making noice but because our lines were close to theirs, you thought it was Ss2 please sir we are sorry I sincerely pleaded with tears forming in my eyes.

The teacher laughed when he realized that I was seriously afraid of being flogged.

You are the new student right?he asked.
Yes sir I replied.
Stand up and go to your class he said.
Thank you sir we all chorused as we stood to our feet.

Nana you just saved our Asses this morning Annabelle said as she nudged me.
I cannot sacrifice my bum bum for flogging this early morning I told them and we laughed.
Thanks babes see you later Chelsea said as she and Christabelle made way towards their class.
The rest of my class mates kept stealing glances at me while others gave me their cutest smiles which I gave back in return.

We walked into my new class while Annabelle dragged me towards her seat I suppose.
My peaceful journey to the seat was cut short when someone forcefully pushed me to the ground.
What the hell..I said as I got to my feet.

Ohh sorry I didn't know that you have a very weak stamina.
Your the new girl right....wow I'm not surprised at all cause everyone has been talking about you.
You are such a mini celebrity cause you are not as popular as I am the girl said as she forwarded her hands I'm Cassandra but you can call me Cassy.

I looked at her up and down before I walked away while ignoring her hands.
She should thank God that she has fine face.

Whatever the girl  who rudely introduced herself spat.
Three other girls were standing beside her.

I'm not surprised.
Every school has its queen bee
I guess I just met the one in my school.
I guess she has met her match I thought to myself as I sat beside Annabelle on the seat I suppose was hers.
By now,all eyes were on me...arrgh what did I do?

She is the Senator's daughter Annabelle whispered in my ears.
So?I asked back.
She has sickle cell Anemia don't think of doing anything stupid Annabelle told me.
Oh so?I asked her again.
Just ignore the girl Annabelle finally said as she brought out her government text book.

Cassandra A.k.A madam Cassy was catwalking to her seat which was the last seat behind the class when someone behind me started to sing....

Then Annabelle started to sing another song

Then the whole class boasted into a very loud laughter.

Queen bee on the other hand got angry and stormed out of the class with her three disciples following beside her.

Don't mind the yeye girl someone behind me said.
I turned around to see a very young funny face smiling at me.
My name is David and this shy boy sitting beside me is....errr dude wetin be your name sef David asked the boy beside him.
I'm Jason but my friends call me Jay the other boy said.

It's nice to meet you Jason and David I said while shaking both their hands and I'm....

Everybody in this school knows you David said to me.
Shey your name is Nana the run away science student.
You are a celebrity of our school ooh babe you just blow without making  any effort ahh fine gehhhhhh David kept making fun of me.

Stop it I said as I slapped his hands.
Ouch that hurts David said as he started blowing air on the place.
Give him another one Jason said as he gave David another slap on his head and we all started to laugh.

David is indeed a funny guy
He was the one who earlier started the song.

David and co stop playing Good morning class answer present when you hear your name a new elderly female voice said before she started calling the names.
