I returned home today.
I spent seven days in Lagos where I went for a businesses meeting and also to meet some.
clients.
It was very hectic for me cause I had no time to rest.
I was picked up by Julian and Chelsea from the airport.
Home sweet home I said to myself as I pulled the door's handle.
I was welcomed by the scent of the room fresher.
As I walked in,I noticed something unusual.
The whole sitting room looked a bit dusty.
I dropped my suitcase in front of the couch and walked straight to the kitchen.
To my greatest surprise,there was no food to eat cause even the fridge was empty.
I felt like an instant headache hit me at the moment.
What???
No food!! I exclaimed as I stormed out of the kitchen heading to nowhere in particular.
I was met by two siblings with a confused look standing at the sitting room with hands folded on their chest.
Where is Nana? I bloated out even before I realized that I did.
Julian turned to look at Chelsea who was also looking at him.
She is gone they both replied.

What do you mean by she is gone?
Gone to where?
I was beginning to get really angry.
She quit the job
Julian replied.
Quit the job?why?
I have no idea Julian replied.
I was beginning to feel my heart ache... why did she leave? just like that?
Did you try looking for her I asked again.
There was no need looking for her.
She left behind a note for both of us Chelsea replied.
What did the note say?I asked annoyed.
Well,it was just for I and Julian.
Personal stuff.
Really,I said while putting one hand in my pocket and the other scratching my hair.
Hmmmmmmmmm so she didn't say anything about me?I asked.
Why do you care? Chelsea asked.
I thought you never liked the girl she said with a smirk appearing on her face.
I gave her a glare and answered
I never said she should leave.
So did the note say why she left?
Emmmm not really, she said she needs to take care of her mum and other stuff Chelsea replied.
I felt uneasy and restless as I began phasing around the room.
Why do I feel this way? it's not as I sent her away or did something to her.
I just feel like something isn't right.
I have to look for her.
She has to tell me why she quit the job.
I pay her well so why would she leave??
Bro what's wrong? the question made me snap out of my head.
Nothing I replied as I picked my suitcase and headed upstairs.
I need to take a shower I told them while I disappeared to the comfort of my room.

I was on my laptop when I heard a soft knock on my door.
Come in I yelled.
The door was pushed open to reveal a smiling Julian with a white leather bag in his hands.
I smiled back waving for him to come sit near me.
Here is your dinner.
What!! dinner?I asked.
Yeah dinner.
You have been in your room for quite some hours .
I even thought you were dead Julian replied.
Says someone who is afraid of rats.lf someone should die in this house it should be you because fear alone will kill you I replied as I snatched the bag from his hands.
What ever he replied.
Bro there is something you need to know he announced as he stood up to get the A .C on.
Did I tell you that I am feeling hot?I asked.
The room is stuffy he replied.
Is it your room?I asked.
He turned around to go put it off when I quickly spoke up.
Leave it.
He turned around James you see your self..
James you don't know what you want ooo.
How you take know?
I asked as I devoured the chicken in my hands.
He stood there with wide eyes staring at me.
What?
Don't tell me you finished this food.
Ehen now how is the quantity of the food I replied.
Two big balls of pounded yam with plenty soup and chicken you devoured in One minute what are you saying.....
If someone calls you a glutton now you will start saying it's a lie.
What ever I replied as I dropped the takeaway in the leather bag, wiped my mouth with tissue and took a sip of my drink.
Slimmy and satisfied as Simba,Timon and pumba will say in the lion king movie we used to watch when we were kids.

Look at how you are smiling like a baby that has seen his mama Julian told me.
A hungry man is an angry man I replied.
What if I didn't bring it?
Then I'll go get it myself I answered.
Says someone who has his face glued to the laptop and doesn't even know it's night Julian said as he let out a small chuckle.
No wonder women say "the way to a man's heart is through the stomach"(food).
I boasted into a fit of laughter.
For their mind.
More reason as to why you like her Julian mummured.
I heard that.
You heard what?he asked
What you just said I replied.
So who's the lucky girl you're talking about I asked with confusion written on my face.
Nana he replied.
My eyes went wide and my body went stiff and the mention of her name.
Julian on the other hand started to laugh until he sat on the floor.
What's funny ?I asked.
You should have seen the look on your face when I said her name.
James I'm not a baby.
You like that girl.
No I don't.
Sure you do.
I said I don't.
Stop denying it.
I'm not denying it.... infact leave my room bye bye we are done for today.
Fine fine he said as he put his hands up.
Speaking of her I said I have something to tell you and you didn't care to ask.
Sorry I forgot I said as I closed the laptop and put it beside me signaling to Julian that I'm all ears.
