I drove to the area were the accident had Happened earlier.
I asked a few people about the girl and were she lived but nobody gave me a useful information.
Some said they had never seen her while others simply ignored me.

I finally sighted a woman who came out of a house with brown gate so I quickly walked up to her.

Good evening ma I greeted.
Evening young man how are you doing?she asked.
Am doing fine ma.
So how can I help you?she asked
Emmm ma there was an accident earlier today.... just this evening and a girl was involved.
Am asking if you may know the girl and maybe direct me to where she lives.

Are you a police officer?she asked me
Ohh no I am not a police officer but it's really urgent.

Okay but I'll I will advise that you should be very careful so you don't get your self into trouble she said.
Yes ma I replied.

The girl lives here in this house she said pointing to the brown gate.
The woman she lives with is my neighbor and she can be very very dangerous.

As I walked in,I saw a woman sitting at the veranda on the floor with her hands on her head.

Wow this woman is rude.

I reached my car,got in and drove straight to F.M.C.

On getting to the hospital,I parked my car,put it on lock and ran straight to the emergency ward.
Excuse me please I said stopping a nurse that was walking out of a room.
Evening how can I help you sir she asked.
Please I am looking for a girl that was brought to this hospital this evening.she was hit by a car and was rushed here.
Are you a family member?she asked.
Yes I am I replied..
Am sorry sir but we lost her.
She was seriously hit and lost allot of blood even before she was brought here.
Sorry about your loss sir.
If you will please excuse me she finally said walking away.

I couldn't say anything,I felt very weak to even lift my feet.
I stood there digesting the whole information in shock.
I have killed a human being....
Ohh God if I had come here earlier maybe she would have survived.
If only I had stopped as soon as the accident occurred,she would still be alive.

Sir are you okay?I heard someone asking as I came back to life.
Yes I am fine I replied.
Sir it's okay to cry your eyes out.
Am so sorry about your loss.
Thank you I said as I wiped my tears and began moving out of the ward.
I didn't realize that I was even crying.
I don't know the girl but the information I got made me feel very bad.
Something must be very wrong about this.
I know feel within me that she is not dead but where can I find her now?
Is she really dead?
What if I am at the wrong hospital?
Ohh God please forgive me.
I pray she finds a place in her heart to forgive me too.
If she is really dead, may her gentle soul rest in peace .

I quietly drove home with allot of thoughts running through my mind.
The incident with Jessica, the accident and other things.

I parked my car and walked into the house.
As if waiting for me?my sister sprang to her feet and ran to me
What happened? she asked using a soft tone.
She is dead! I replied back.

Who is dead?she asked confused.
Who is dead?my brother also asked as he walked to where we were standing.

I boasted into a new set of tears
I felt completely useless as if I am not a man.
I sat down on the floor and continued to run my hands through my hair.
I need a glass of water I said to my sister who immediately ran to the kitchen and returned with my glass of water.

Biggie, you are getting me worried because I have never seen you cry because of anything.
Can you please talk to us? please........

I drank the water and handed the cup back to her.
So?she asked
I'll tell you tomorrow morning I said as I wiped my tears, got to my feet and walked to my room.

If this is how those who kill people feel,then it is not easy to kill somebody even if it were accident I thought to myself.

I got to my room, took off my clothes, went to the bathroom and took a shower to freshen up.
I got out of the bathroom with water dripping down my body and my towel around my waist.

I dried my self up using a smaller towel,wore my boxers and finally,I walked to my bed lying still on my back until I drifted to sleep.
