Couvade syndrome, also called sympathetic pregnancy, is a proposed condition in which a partner experiences some of the same symptoms and behavior as an expectant mother. These most often include minor weight gain, altered hormone levels, morning nausea, and disturbed sleep patterns.

*Short update*

To Namjoon, the events of him eating played like a movie in his mind; all of the snacks he consumed. The nights where he sneaked down to the kitchen to have a quick bite of food. Or what about the pizza he had been ordering. The pizza boxes were collecting in his closet. Even with the boys, Namjoon overindulged, He was enjoying chicken recently.

It was only this morning when Namjoon stared back at himself in the mirror.
Hae watches him in the mirror "I think it's more than sympathetic weight Joonie."
"It is not my fault..I have been craving food. Food that you are not craving. Did you get me pregnant Hae?"
"Only if." Hae shrugs "But I read about this in my pregnancy book. It is called Couvade syndrome. It means you are experiencing pregnancy symptoms with me Joon. Weight gain is one of the biggest signs. How do your nipples feel?"
"Tender." Namjoon answered. "Why is this happening to me? I am dying..this is the end of your husband." Namjoon whines. "What if I start to lactate? Oh god." Namjoon groaned. Hae covers her giggle with her hand "Lactating is not a symptom. But you are a male, so who knows? Maybe you will."
"This is the worse. What am I suppose to do with my tummy? I look like I am pregnant."  "You look cute with your tum. And do not worry about this, it is because I am pregnant. Your body is reacting just as mine is. If you think you look gross, imagine how I look. My bump is real!"
Namjoon turned to the side now "I guess I can handle this. Only 22 weeks left. And besides, we can be baby bump buddies."
"Bump buddies. Come on, we're tired."
"We just woke up." Namjoon laughs. "We're tired. Come on bump buddy. I'll rub your belly."
"Belly rubs for the win Hae. Let's snuggle."
