Chardon High School-February 27, 2012

The seventeen year-old sophomore shot a total of six people from Chardon, three of which died and one that was left paralyzed. The boy himself attended a different school for at-risk students who had academic or behavioral issues. They all gathered in one cafeteria in the morning and began shooting. Two of the victim's organs were donated and one saved a child who was just days away from death. Teachers also responded with bravery. One charged right at the shooter even though the gun was aimed at him and another put on a bulletproof vest before taking a wounded student inside his classroom. That student received medial attention for the teacher and is credited with saving the boy's life. There is no known motive even to this day, the student had a disagreement with one of the victim's and nothing more. He can be seen giving the middle finger in court and he received three life sentences with no chance of parole. He has escaped prison once, but was caught and moved to a maximum security prison.
