Smokepaw is a dark grey tom with emerald eyes. He is playful, sensitive, full of humor and defensive for his best friend. Unlike Ripplepaw, his best friend, he likes fighting more than hunting because he is bad at blending in with his surroundings. He doesn't like it when Pebblepaw and his 'gang' of three mock and tease him and Ripplepaw, or when his mother, Mistcloud teases him of liking Snowpaw.

He is NEVER jealous and is happy with what he has, a great personality that not everyone can manage. His mother is Mistcloud, a white she-cat with light-grey flecks everywhere and ice-blue eyes; his father is Redbush, a fiery-red tom with brown-red tabby markings all over him and grass-green eyes. His siblings are: Stonepaw, a gray tom like him, but with ice-blue eyes; and Icepaw, a light orange tabby she-cat with ice-blue eyes.
