BIG TIME CRUSH

GABRIELA WALKED into the pool area and spotted Carlos.

"Hey, what's going on?" She paused and saw Logan, "And why is he dressed as an old lady?"

"We were trying to get him a girlfriend." Logan said, "He hit me instead of James."

"Can tell, he got a good punch on ya." She looked back at him, "Do you really need a girlfriend?"

"Do I really love corndogs?"

Gabriela rolled her eyes, "I'm just saying it's not that important."

"But it's fun!" He said, "I want to make a girl feel special and loved."

Gabriela smiled, "I can't blame you for wanting that. She'll come around, whoever she may be and maybe she's standing right in front of you."

Gabriela placed her hand on his shoulder for reassurance and headed off.

"Did you hear what she said?" James asked.

"Yeah... how could she possibly not know having a girlfriend is almost as important as my love for corndogs."

"No. That the perfect girl might be right in front of you." Logan said, "She was talking about herself."

"She was?" Carlos asked.

Kendall soon came around, "She was?"

"Of course. What other person was standing in front of him saying that?" James asked.

"No. She's my friend. Best friends even."

"So? You have to befriend someone before dating them." Logan said.

"It's different with Gabriela." Carlos said, "She's my first unofficial girlfriend. We've bonded so we're close, no big deal."

"Unofficial girlfriend?" Kendall questioned.

"We went on one not date just to see what it was like to date."

Kendall remembered, Gabriela mentioned it before and now thinking of it again he clearly remembered the conversation at the park and the carnival.

"She's one of my closest friends and I'm not going to ruin that by dating her." Carlos said, "I'm heading upstairs."

"He likes her." James and Logan said.

"I think he made it quite obvious that he did not like her whatsoever." Kendall said.

"He's bluffing." James said, "Trust me."

Was he though?

HOLDING A corndog in one hand and a hotdog in the other, Gabriela found Carlos sitting at a table.

She walked over and handed him the corndog.

"Thanks."

"What are you doing here?" She asked.

"Speed dating... it isn't going as planned though."

"Sorry to hear."

"Wanna hear something crazy?" He asked.

"Sure."

"James and Logan have it in their heads that I-"

He looked over at Jo and Kendall, "That I don't think I could balance more than three helmets on my head."

"But you can, you did like, six for Snoop, remember?"

"Right, right. It's coming back to now."

He knew why he didn't tell her the truth but he didn't need Kendall or Jo knowing what he was going to say.

It's the response to what she would've said that might've hurt.

What if he did say the truth? That Logan and James thought they liked each other.

He knew one hundred percent where his friendship laid with Gabriela, but of course, James and Logan really had him thinking that he might've had a crush on his friend.

"Just be yourself on the dates Carlos. That's the best thing you could do." Gabriela said.

She stood up and stood behind him, resting her hands on his shoulder, "There are many many girls who are gonna like you for you, Carlos. I'm pretty sure she'll come along before you know it."

He turned and faced her, he normally didn't notice how close the two were, but this time he had, "Really?"

"I know so." She smiled and removed her hands, "Good luck."

She headed back inside, Jo and Kendall approached him, "At that rate, you might as well just date, Gabriela." Jo said.

"No." The two boys said.

"No?" Jo questioned.

"We're friends." Carlos said, "Just friends."

Kendall nodded, "The best of friends. Why ruin a good friendship?"

Carlos agreed.

"Fine." Jo said, "It was just a suggestion."

STANDING BY the elevator and continuously pushing the down button, Gabriela sighed as nothing seemed to happen.

After a few more minutes the elevator opened, she stepped inside.

"Hold it!"

She held her hand against the door and Kendall came running inside.

"Thank you."

"Anytime."

The door shut and they made their way down to the lobby.

"What are you up to?" Kendall asked.

"Right now. Nothing." Gabriela said, "What about you? Still trying to find Carlos a girlfriend?"

Kendall nodded, "Perfect on paper. So it shouldn't be hard to find someone."

Gabriela smiled. Nothing else was said between the two of them.

"Can I ask a question?" Kendall asked.

"Sure."

"So, I have this friend, and this friend has a girlfriend who he loves, right?"

She nodded, "So, there's this new girl who comes and they become great friends and he may or may not like her. What should he do?" He asked.

"Are you talking about Logan? I didn't know him and Camille-"

"You don't know this friend."

"Oh, okay." She sighed, "In my opinion, I think the person should try and talk to his girlfriend and try to figure out where his mind is and if he truly likes this new girl then maybe he should get to know the new girl, but that's just my opinion."

Kendall nodded, "If my boyfriend liked another girl I would want him to tell me. He should date whoever he likes and if that person isn't me, then we break up." Gabriela said.

The elevator doors opened, Gabriela walked out first, "Hope your girlfriend finding for Carlos works out."

GABRIELA SAT at the edge of the pool, no one else was around due to the fact everyone went to the movies.

She heard someone sit beside her, she looked over and saw Kendall sitting with her, feet in the pool.

"How was the movie?" She asked.

"Us guys lost our dates."

She smiled and let out a breathy laugh, "Heard the movie sucked anyway."

Kendall looked over, the moon was particularly bright tonight.

"Did you ever get back to your friend?" She asked.

"Friend?"

She looked at him, "The one with the girlfriend and him having a crush on another girl."

"Oh! Oh, yeah... he said he hadn't talked to his girlfriend yet, but he's going to. I'm sure he'll figure it out though."

"I'm sure he will." Gabriela said, "At the end of the day he'll know what to do."

Kendall sighed, "Hopefully."
