BIG TIME BABYSITTING

GABRIELA HELD her phone in her hands as she walked through the Palm Woods.

Things between her and Kendall were completely different than what they were before.

Gabriela felt as if she needed to re-evaluate her relationship with Kendall and it truly sucked for her to do so.

"Hey." She looked and smiled, "I know we were supposed to hang out today, but I have to babysit a fifty-year-old man." Kendall said.

"Babylace. I know." She said, "I've got to finish writing songs for you guys anyway, so, it's fine. If you need help just call."

"Great. It all works out. So, goodbye kiss?"

He leaned forward causing Gabriela to slightly shift her head and him kissing her cheek.

She smiled and made her way to the elevator.

Kendall sighed, "There's that awkwardness again."

She turned, "What did you expect, Kendall? You go missing for half the day, you avoid me, I have to wait around all day for you to even tell me that you aren't going back to Jo, who I told to stay in the Palm Woods. I don't want things to be awkward, but here we are."

She entered the elevator and up to her apartment.

She opened the door and saw Lucy sitting on the loveseat.

Gabriela sat down beside her, "What's on the agenda today?" Lucy asked.

"Songs for Big Time Rush and figure out this Kendall stuff."

"Kendall stuff? What Kendall stuff?" Lucy asked, "Thought you guys were good."

"I'm still dating him, but things are just awkward."

Lucy put her book down, "Awkward as in?"

"Awkward as in I don't think he's really committed to our relationship anymore."

"Yikes."

"I just want to know that everything is going to be okay."

"And everything is going to be okay."

Gabriela's phone buzzed in her hands in it was a text from Kendall.

"I'll be back." She said, "Kendall wants to meet in the park."

"Have fun, and remember, everything is going to be okay."

Gabriela nodded and made her way park.

As she made her way to where Kendall had asked to meet he ran towards her, "Hey, hey, hey. There's been a small complication with my plan."

"So you just don't want to hang out anymore?"

"No, no, no, no, it's that that, Jo, it's just-"

"My name's Gabriela."

"I know, Gabriela. I know." He said, "Gabriela. Gabriela. Gab. Gabi. Gab, not Jo."

She rolled her eyes and turned back around.

"Hey, but can you help us please, Gabriela?" Kendall asked.

She looked over, "Sure, I can help... James."

She bumped his shoulder and made her way towards Logan.

"What's wrong?" She asked.

"They're out of power."

"They're what?" Kendall asked.

"I don't know. I think I used them too much, okay?" Logan answered, "We're terrible babysitters."

Gabriela grabbed the medical bag and sat on the ground with it.

She couldn't really find want she was looking for and Kendall and Logan weren't helping as they were panicking behind her.

She finally found the EpiPen and injected it into his leg.

"Oh!" Babylace sighed, "Thank you, nurse. You're as strong as you are female."

Gabriela only nodded, "My pleasure."

She stood up and wiped her hands off, "He's all yours."

She wasn't going to wait for any response from any of them as she made her way back to the Palm Woods.

GABRIELA SAT on the barstool as she continued writing.

There was a knock on her door. She opened the door and saw no one standing there.

She peeked out and saw Kendall standing in the hallway with Babylace and several amps behind them.

"Hey." Kendall smiled.

"Hi."

"I haven't been the best with words today, so I wanted to try and do better with a song."

"We have written it especially for you." Babylace said, "And it starts like this."

He did a gentle guitar cord before uttering the words heart attack and falling to the floor.

"Oh, come on. Nurse."

Logan came strolling along with a medical bag in hand.

"Hey, Gabriela."

She sent Logan a small wave as he helped Babylace.

"Oh! Did the song work?"

"We haven't played it yet."

"Oh."

"We were gonna play you a song that might make you forget about the things that I said and did, but he keeps dying."

"Sorry!"

"We got to start over." Kendall said, "Look, we need to start over. Look... maybe you and I could just... start over."

"I don't want to start over. I just want to talk to you and for you to be honest. That's all I want." Gabriela said, "We can talk tonight because you seem very busy."

"Daddy's so proud of you." Babylace said with a grip on Kendall's shoulder.

"He's not my dad."

"Okay, great." Logan said, "You two are probably smooshy-smooshy again. You get dressed, you get James and Carlos, and let's get him to the Hall of Rock Awards."

GABRIELA AND Kendall made their way back to the Palm Woods.

The Hall of Rock Awards was as amusing but disgusting as it could get.

After seeing someone throw up on stage, it was actually time for Gabriela to go.

She opened the door to her apartment and Kendall followed inside.

Kendall sat down on her loveseat. She sighed and sat down beside him.

"Do you want to start, or should I start?" Gabriela asked.

"I feel like you have a lot to say." Kendall said, "I do too, but I want to know how you're feeling."

Gabriela could've simply told him what she told Lucy, that she felt that he wasn't committed to their relationship anymore.

"I want you to be honest with me, Kendall."

He nodded.

"Do you want to be with Jo?"

Not the question he expected, but the question he probably deserved.

"No, I don't want to be with Jo." Kendall said, "I thought things were great between us."

"I thought so too, but then you called me Jo today and you avoided me, which I thought I would be over. I don't know what to think anymore."

Kendall sighed. All this time he wanted a relationship with Gabriela. He finally got it and as soon as Jo comes back, he avoided his girlfriend because he was confused.

"I messed up and I keep messing up, but I want this to work. I want us to work."

"How do you think I feel, Kendall?" She stood from the loveseat, "You think that I want to not hang out with you and do all those stupid couple things people do? Do you think I want to worry about you breaking up with me and going out with Jo? Do you think that I want to cry about you all the time?"

Gabriela let out a breath. Kendall stood, the distance between them pretty far.

"This relationship means everything to me, Gabriela, and I don't want to ruin that. What can I do to fix this?"

"I don't know." Gabriela said, "Sorry can't always fix things."

"Are we breaking up?" Kendall asked.

Gabriela sucked in her breath, "No, but I have the right to be upset with you. Just... promise you'll do better and just tell me how you feel."

Kendall walked over and held her hands, "I promise I'll do better."

Gabriela nodded and wrapped her arms around his torso.

All she wanted was for everything to be okay.
