I Regret Meeting You
No one's P.O.V
A few months later, and still, no one else except for Natsu's parents, Wendy, and themselves, know that Lucy is pregnant. She's now 6 months pregnant, and it has been difficult for both Lucy, and Natsu.
Lucy has been having more mood swings, and her craving for horchata is unlimited. Natsu has been struggling to deal with her along with normal everyday things and trying to find jobs for him to take. Their debt has been building up and they've both been getting into more and more fights by the second.
Like the other day when they regretted ever meeting.
.
.
"What do you mean 'The bank won't accept our check?' They have to! Otherwise they're just rejecting our payment!" Lucy yelled as she sat at the kitchen table.
"They keep saying that it's not filed correctly, and that it's not enough for the monthly payment. Which I don't know why there saying that because last month we played extra!" Natsu said, pacing back and forth with his hands fiddling through his hair.
"Why is it always the money that's the hardest thing?! It's always 'money this' and 'money that'! Why can't we just pay it off?! " Lucy said, half of her mind staying focused, while the other half was starting to loose focus and stop from the amount of stress that was going around.
"We don't have the money to pay it off! I haven't had a job this week, so no one has been paying me! We're nearly broke and we can't do anything about it!"
"Then let me find a job! You always go looking around for one and don't let me help in the slightest. Let me go look around to see if someone wants something done, or if there's a temporary job I can do for the next few months."
"No! Not when you're expecting a child in three or so months! Anything can happen, and I'm not risking that." Natsu fought back.
"I'm not taking 'no' for an answer! For once in your life, stop babysitting me! I'm not a little kid you can control! I never was! Yet you always do!" Lucy yelled, slamming her hands down on the counter when she finished.
"Hey! I do not control you! All I do is simply look out for you! Do you know how many times I've had to save you from dying?! How many times I've seen you on the verge of death with me not being able to do jack?! No! You don't!"
"No! I apparently don't know what watching someone like that is like. I'll give you that! But put yourself in my shoes! Place yourself as being the one dying! You think everyone's against you and that they all wish you were dead! I mean, why else would you be born with a lung disease? Just for the world to torture you! It's so much fun when you're the one dying, because no one cares, and no one does.
"Somone cares! Someone always will." Natsu said, dropping his hands from his hair.
"No. They won't... And they never will. Not for me." Lucy said, getting quieter now.
"I can't believe I played you. If only I had just never talked to you that day. If only I had never looked for you that day. None of this would be happened, and you'd still live with that loving dad of yours." Natsu said, not even thinking about what he was saying.
Lucy froze. Her eyes on the verge of crying.
"Maybe you would be been happier with Lisanna. You seemed to like her getting all over your back when we were moving out.
Lucy pushed away from the counter and walked towards the door. She grabbed the car keys and grabbed the door handle.
"Natsu... I regret meeting you."
With that, she left the house. Natsu stood in silence as he heard the car engine turn on, and fade away as Lucy drove off. Natsu began to grow light headed as he slowly walked out of the kitchen.
No. Come back. What happened. I'm... I'm...
Natsu collapsed on the couch, all of the stress, and regret, making him become unconscious.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm SO! Sorry for not posting yesterday. It was hectic with another field trip, and my siblings graduation, (from pre-k) and my stupid birthday.
I really meant to post yesterday, so I'm sorry that i didn't. I'll try to get to some other books tonight, but I don't know.
Bye.
