Vacation

🔑Lucy's P.O.V🔑

I woke up around three in the morning and got ready to pick up Natsu. I got into my car and drove off, bringing a hoodie with me for Natsu to wear.

Once I got to the prison, I opened the gate with my badge and walked in quietly, the other inmates still sleeping. I walked down Natsu's dark hallway and saw him awake and lying on the floor.

"I was wondering when you'd come, so I just decided to stay up until you came back." Natsu said, yawning as he spoke.

"You should've gotten some sleep at least." I said, handing him the hoodie through the bars.

"I can sleep in your car. We still have a few hours anyways. It's only five."

"That's because you didn't have to sit through the morning traffic! Those factories down here have millions of employee's!" I complained, opening his cell. He pulled the hoodie over, but his wings were still getting in the way, so I gave him a blanket that I left here. He wrapped that around and he was fully covered.

We got back into my car and drove off, hoping that I could make it to my house before anyone else did. I was wrong though. They were all there, waiting.

"Cover yourself good. It's only six thirty, so you're not fully changed back yet, and all of my friends are there." I said, shaking Natsu awake. As he woke up, he realized what I said and covered himself even more, making him look like a pile of blankets now. I pulled up into my driveway and hopped out.

"Lucy! Where were you at this time at night?!" Levy shouted as she hugged me.

"I had to pick up Natsu. He lives pretty far for here so if we didn't want to spend three hours of our time to get him, then I just went and got him. He's asleep though, so leave him alone." I explained. They all nodded and quietly hopped into my car, one by one. I hopped back into the drivers seat.

After a while of driving, Natsu woke up.

"You can take off the blankets now. It's past seven." I said. He freely yanked off the blankets, but left the hooide on.

"I'm free! Those blankets were getting hot." He cheered. I laughed, but everyone brushed it off sonce they didn't know what he was talking about. After a little more driving, Gray asked me a question.

"Hey Lucy. Why exactly do you have that bandage on your arm? You've had it since yesterday, but none of us really saw you once Natsu ran off with you." He asked me, glaring at Natsu, But Natsu simply turned away.

"I just burnt myself. No biggie, so don't worry about it." I said, but more for Natsu who I knew ferlt more guilty for burning me.

"I'm fine, so don't bring it up again."

"How'd you get burnt though? You were fine yesterday before school, then you just magically had a bandage on you after first class." Erza now said.

"I just burnt myself while I messed around in the culinary arts room. I leaned on the stove, thinking it was off sonce no one was in there yet, but someone had left it on since yesterday. Simple as that."

Everyone nodded then head in an 'Oh' Kind of way, while Natsu looked hurt but thankful. Hurt becasue he hurt me and I was putting up with it, but thankful for me keeping his secret. I smiled at him right as I pulled into our small camp site.

"We're here! Go do something!" I shouted at the others. They all ran out of the car while Natsu stayed with me and sat at a picnic table.

"Why did the cheif come late last night and tell me that you had plans for me next Wednesday?" Natsu asked, looking at me.

"I told him not to tell you." I grunted, crossing my arms.

"Well he did, so what are you doing?" He asked, more anxious than before. I sighed and looked at everyone playing in the waterfal, and throwing a water ball at each other. Natsu's just as human as them. Why does his life have to be the way it is now?
