Natsu's P.O.V

The closer we got to them, the more clear their faces were. Some were angry, some were confused, and some were blank.

"Good morning everybody." Lucy said briefly, trying to say as little as possible. Immediately, Erza took her arms and examined them.

"Why are you burnt all over? These were no accident." She said, glaring at Natsu, who returned the gaze. Erza slightly backed down, but remained firm.

"Fine, to be honest, I got sunburnt. I was out with Natsu and we fell asleep on a bench. In the way we were sitting, I got sunburned and it now looks like he burnt me." Lucy lied, but they seemed to buy it. 

 "Then why'd you run from us?" Gray cut in.

 "Because it was my day with Natsu and we've been going through some tough times lately. I don't need to explain what those are to you because of personal matters."

 "Alright then, one last question before the bell rings." Levy then said.

 "Are you two... A 'thing'?"

 Lucy stared shocked. I too was shocked at her question.

 "Uh, we just know each other very well and have a lot of things in common." Lucy said, nervously laughing. Levy didn't look satisfied, but the bell rung, saving the both of us from an awkward conversation.
