I wasn't paying any attention to the teacher. I was staring at Lucy, sitting right next to me, who looked lost in thought as well. Otherwise she would have reacted whenever I waved my hand in front of her face.

"Mr. Dragneel! Ms. Heartfilia! Could either of you answer the question I just asked?" The teacher asked quite annoyed that we weren't paying attention. I froze in place, not sure what to say, but then some other language came out of Lucy's mouth.

"You didn't ask a question, sir. You simply stated that slavery was illegal in the United States. But I must disagree with you on that."

"Excuse me?!" The teacher said, clearly offended.

"Listen. The 13th Amendment banned private ownerships of any slaves. Plantation slaves, house slaves, and even indentured slaves that were still coming into the Americas. It even banned the practice of slavery! Yet sadly, slavery wasn't fully illegal. It's never happened before because no one bothers to look into history, but according to the 13 the Amendment, the federal government is allowed to make someone a slave as punishment for any crime they've been accused of. The funny part is that Mississippi didn't approve of this until 1994, meaning that they could have slaves at every plantation site they owned. Luckily, no one did though. There is my argument. If you would like to correct me on anything, feel free to, otherwise-" the bell had rung. "I'll see you tomorrow!" She finished as she walked off. 

The whole class walked out of the classroom laughing at how the teacher got showed up. I stood there in shock at how she knew all that. I then saw the teacher flipping through the text books and trying to prove Lucy wrong. Now THAT was a funny, once in a lifetime sight.
