Lucy rubbed her hands up and down on her arms as she walked back to her house on Strawberry Street. "Geez, it was so nice and warm yesterday then it just had to rain and make it freezing," Lucy chattered out between her teeth. As she arrived back at her home she was glad to see the warm and comfy looking covers of her bed calling her name. As soon as she changed, she crawled under the covers, not checking to see if Natsu was even under the covers. Lucy was honestly hoping he was so she could use him as a heater, but was curious and a little upset when she found the rosey headed man not there. She shrugged it off, and curled into a small ball underneath the covers, letting sleep take her over.

A few hourse later into the night, Natsu came into Lucy's apartment through the window as usual, only to find the blond shivering under the covers in her sleep. He slid underneath the covers and wrapped his arms around her waist, and pulled her into his body. "Jesus, Luce. Your whole body is freezing," Natsu mumbled to himself, using his extreme body heat to try and warm the blond up. Once Lucy finally stopped shivering and was stillfully asleep, Natsu slowly fell asleep with Lucy still in his arms. Natsu found peace and serenity when he was around Lucy or in her apartment with her, and her being in his arms like this made him feel something he'd never felt before. Love.

The next morning, Lucy had woken up later than usual, but she was in no hurry to get out of bed. She felt so warm, but then she realized what she was staring at and where the heat was coming from. She slowly turned her head upwards, saw the one and only Natsu Dragneel peacefully sleeping in front of her. Lucy couldn't stop staring at him. Something about him made her heart race and her stomach do flips everytime he smiled or spoke kindly to her. She carefully leaned up and pecked Natsu on the lips before laying back down closer to him. Just before she went back to sleep, Lucy felt Natsu move his head down and kiss the top of her head, then readjust his arm around her waist. Lucy fell asleep with a smile on her face.
