🔑No one's P.O.V.🔥

"Natsu! What have I told you about sneaking in my house?!" Lucy yelled.

"But I want to see you!" He complained.

"Why do you always want to see me?! There's plenty of other people at the guild! You've survived long enough without me!" Lucy yelled.

"But none of them are like you." He mumbled.

"I bet that's just an excuse to stay! I dare you to last a full day without seeing me!"

"What?! I can't do that!"

"Oh yes you can! Now get out!" She said as she kicked him out. He sat in front of her house.

I can last a full day. It's... It's only 24 hours. No need to worry. He thought to himself. He got up and walked to the guild. He then sat quietly at one of the bar stools.

"Hey Natsu! How's your day been?" Mira asked.

"I'm not allowed to see Lucy for a full day." He said, laying his head on the counter.

"And are you going to listen to that?" She asked.

"If it makes her happy, then I can do it." He said sorrowfully.

"And if it isn't making her happy?"

"I'm sure she's fine. She's the one who told me to leave her alone for a day." He said, getting up and taking a random job from the board. He hands it to Mira and leaves.

Might as well do something to keep my mind off it. He thought.

🕛7 hours later, Natsu is still out on his job🕛

🕛10 hours later, he's still gone.🕛

🕛14 hours later, nothing.🕛

🕛18 hours later, Lucy regrets what she says, and goes to the guild to look for him.🕛

"Hey Mira? Have you seen Natsu?" She asked.

"Not since you kicked him out this morning. And why are you out here so late?" Mira said as she washed a table. (It's currently midnight)

"It's just that... Well normally... Natsu would have broken into my house and fallen asleep in my bed by now." She muttered.

"Well, he was upset this morning when you kicked him out. Especially about what you told him."

"I didn't think that he would actually follow through! I was just mad! I never mean what I say when I'm mad at him!" Lucy said, her body starting to shake with fear  where he was.

"Just go home and rest. He should be back tomorrow, like when you told him." Mira said, walking away. Lucy sighed and walked back home.

On the way, she gets pulled into an ally. She tried to scream, but the person who held her covered her mouth.

"Come on pretty lady. No need to be scared of me!" The strange and unfamiliar voice said. Lucy muffled screams, but none were loud enough.

Meanwhile, Natsu was walking to Lucy's house, planning on what he was going to say.

Should I just barge in, or should I knock? No, I should knock. She'll get mad if I barge in. But it's late! She'll be asleep! Should I wake her up? Come on stupid brain! Think for once in my life! He fought in his mind. 

He was at the steps of her house, when he noticed that her scent wasn't there.

Where would she be this late at night? He thought. He started walking down the streets, searching for her scent, when he hears muffled screams. He starts looking around, recognizing the voice of the scream.

Lucy! Where are you?! Why is it you that's screaming?! He yelled in his head. He looked down every ally until he came upon the one that Lucy was being held in. When she saw him, her eyes grew wide and her body tried harder to get pull of the mans grasp. Natsu immediately grew angry and charged at the man. Lucy was released from the mans tight grip and she ran behind Natsu.

"Try and touch her again! I dare you!" Natsu yelled at the man. The man scurried away quickly. Natsu turned to face a tearful Lucy.

"I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" Said over and over again.

"Sorry for what?" Natsu asked, comforting the unstable blonde.

"For yelling at you! Pushing you away! Daring you to do something that I didn't want!" She said quickly. Natsu had to listen carefully to understand her.

"What do you mean that you didn't want the dare you told me to do?"

"I never want you to leave! I have nightmares when you do! I get anxious when you're not in the room with me, but when you are, I get so shy and bubbly! That's why I kick you out! Because I don't know why! It feels so weird!" She said. Natsu understood these feelings, because he dealt with them himself every time he's around his Lucy.

"You don't need to feel weird anymore. I get the same feelings. Now, let's get you home. I bet you're tired." He said as he picked Lucy up. He gently carried her in his arms and carefully climbed through her window that she never locks.

"Are those feelings also the reason why you never lock your window?" He asked, laying her on her bed. She slightly nods, then falls asleep. Natsu looks at her anxiously, but then decides that he had to leave.

As he was getting on the windowsill, he felt Lucy grab his hand. He saw her shake her head in her sleep. He didn't know if she was sleeping, or actually wanting him to stay. 

He thought the latter and was nearly about to jump out. He felt her hand grip tighter and start to shake. This time when he looked back, her eyes were on the brink of tears and her face was tight.

I guess staying wouldn't hurt. He thought as he got down and hopped into bed with her. Once he's settled, Lucy hugs his bare chest.

"Thank you." She whispered.

"No problem." He said.

They both fell asleep peacefully and they never dared each other again.
